I am over here cackling at the "nice" in response to learning about the lamprey's eating habits. I loved hearing and seeing you explore the gesture of the arm card to make sure you could do the pose justice with that gaping maw. Such a fantastic creature!
Dude, you're a natural at this. The pose is very dynamic, you didn't waste time sculpting a hidden leg, and you just taught me how to sculpt scales... I really hope you do more projects like this.
My favorite part about your monster is the positioning of the arms! He looks like he’s just about to swing them around and take everyone DOWN! Great work and so glad you were a part of the collab 👏
The feel when a chaos god decides that you would do well with an extra arm, and a few teeth, while he is at it you might even get an extra eye! The deal of a lifetime!
I hope you guys know how important what you are doing is. For the community but specially for creators who are stuck at home during this health crisis. We get bummed out more and before everyone else because we have little access to other artist which is what feeds our inspiration. Thank you so much.
I wanted to say to each of you that I think the best part of the entire collaboration is that you all stated that you tried something you might not have without the push of the collaboration. That means it was a I've successfully for all of you and every one of us watching! Bravo to the group!
I love that this started in the car, and the project turned out fantastic. I am so excited for this whole collaboration. The lamprey mouth is next level, I loved how all your bits came together into such a sweet piece. So cool, thanks for an another amazing video.
That's an excellent bit of sculpting. That raised arm is really gnarly. The finished critter is more homogenous that the GW Chaos Spawn kits. And the less-is-more paint job adds even more to the grim darkness of the piece.
Outstanding build and that "contest sounds like a great idea for a continuing event, maybe every 3 months you all draw more cards and have at it again? Your monster turned out very nice
What an awesome model! Chaos Spawn, Daemon Prince, Greater Daemon. You have so many options to be able to put your handiwork on the table--well, the handiwork that isn't your stellar terrain!
Wow, beautiful piece just like most of your crafts. It's a nice thing when you can take some chip board, some paint and glue and stuff from the waste bin(cereal boxes, Styrofoam, bits of sprues and broken toys), and turn it into the things that are truly wonders. Love your Daemon Prince rendition, really, I wish I had 1/10th of your talent.
Always love your projects - It only makes sense that your creature sculpting is equally awesome! What I love the most about your monster is the intention to use it as a model for wargaming. It will truly be a centerpiece HQ model for your army, and so incredibly unique!
Wanna hear a horrible secret? i like to field a demon prince with wings, and I already have one of those. I will probably use this guy as spawn over an HQ more often. Well see
Superb video as ever Eric. It’s amazing that you can make something like that from scratch. I love that you also give credit to people who helped you with advice too.
Eric, this is rad AF. Seriously. You have some crazy unreleased talent at sculpting. Keep it up, I'd love to see more of it on your channel. I love how because of challenges like these the 40k youtube crowd has been doing more sculpting and converting.
really love the model, would have really enjoyed this dude getting a paintjob upgrade after the competition was finished. I really think a few more nicer details on it would have made it a true chefs kiss model
8:20 Tip for using Milliput: petroleum jelly. Coat your fingers with it, and you won't have the Milliput sticking to you while you're trying to mold it.
I absolutely love the storytelling aspect of your build. That's exactly how my mind works. I love having a back story, and the one you came up with is so cool. I feel inspired, Eric!! I love what you did with the chains and the staff as well.
Really cool creation. Loved checking out the process. If you wet your fingers when working with the milliput you don't get the same sticky fingers problem.
I'm picturing this as a D&D monster. Like a mage or sorcerer that tried to make a pact with some devil but got tricked and got transformed into this abomination. Still holding on to his staff, casting random spells from time to time, just trying to kill anything that crosses it's path.
I love how this turned out. I think you executed your idea and backstory wonderfully. I'd love to see that on the table, or unleash it against my players in a D&D game.
Next time you guys should invite scratch bashing, I think he would really like it, especially with his creativity and he’s friends with studson studios
You did an amazing job there! Very well done Eric :-) I am a sculpting noob myself and this video gave me the confidene to dive into the cards myself and see what I can accomplish!
Hi Erick. Love you guys, your imagination is as wierd as mine but you have the talent to make it real. Quick tip, with milliput, talkum powder on your fingers stops it sticking. All the best.
Wow, fantastic job! So much fun to watch. The creature really blends in nicely in with the rest of the army. I hope you will do more sculpting in future videos!
My man, that was an awesome sculpt! I loved every part of it the initial concept, findind the pose, doing it, the spray paint, the sarlacc mention, just awesome!
My man, I hope you gain more exposure. That was a really, really well put together build and more than that, piece. I can almost visualize a story just by looking at. Like, subbed, notis!
You'll get a lot less miliput residue on your hands if you spread out the grey harder part into a big disc, wrap it fully around the green doughy part like a parcel, and then rolling it out into tube, ball back up, repeat, rather than just kneading it together like with greenstuff
This. Is. Awesome! I would have loved it no matter what, but I drew the lamprey mouth card, and you knocked it out of the park. =D - Jessy from Little Giant Crafts

Steal it!!! Its pretty sick

Eric, holy crap! Two videos in as many days, and this on you just drop this amazing original sculpt! Outstanding work, the from the pose to the paint!
Thank you! I know i didn’t post for a while but i was not idle! I have more projects nearly finished coming very soon
I like how in your glamour shots, with the music it’s like a montage of the monster just popping up with all his homies

You don't have to tell me to stick till the end. That showcase music makes sure of that!
Love that tune.
It's a dirty belter!
Your dude has my vote. You came with the detailed back story, you scratch built it and it goes with an army you play. A+++

Great build! It's a different side of your talent: I think of you as the guy who does the cool terrain builds, I'll have to go through your catalog.
This gets the Best Use Of An Iron Nail Award for sure!
Love how a whole lot of random turned into a whole lot of creepy. Great work ☺. Also, nice drawings!
pro tip for sculpey clay, right after you bake it put the hot piece in the freezer and it becomes waaaaaaaaayyy harder
I love how cosmically terrifying it is.
Why does anybody dislike a video like this ? Amazing creativity and imagination. I can only imagine it’s sour grapes and jealousy.
