      its and advertisement, in reality its not good at all. it simply dies and loses output. You can record, but producing sound is something this "audio interface" seems to struggle with.

      @@ElegantBass That certainly isn't a common complaint. Are you having technical problems? If so, our Support Team can help you identify what's causing that, please get in touch.
      Generally speaking, Scarlett performs very well which is one of the reasons why it's so popular.

      @@FocusriteTV It seems the problems have gone away now, i have connected the usb directly to the pc (and used another cable, not the one provided), this did not help at first however the sound output is stable now and has not stopped anymore for two days straight. There are some posts of people experiencing the same problem, that is how i found the fix. sorry for my post earlier, i was frustrated, i apologize. i am quite satisfied how the interface is performing now.

    I only work with my voice from my booth. I have a Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. Everytime I need to scream or something I have to get out from the booth and move the knob to lower the gain.
    Question: This new Scarlett will let me to do my job without leaving my booth everytime I have to lower the gain?

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  9 месяцев назад +1

      Scarlett 2i2, and 4i4 4th generation now feature remote control preamps. This means you can adjust your gain from Focusrite Control 2 without touching the device. So this should be possible now! Let us know if this helps or if you have additional questions.

    Just got my 4th Gen Solo. Upgraded from the 3rd Gen which was amazing. Quick question. Are the lights on the front supposed to stay on even when I've turned my computer off? Thanks

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  9 месяцев назад +1

      Happy to hear you have enjoyed your Scarletts so far. If you have the device powered from a power outlet not just the computer, then the lights may remain on even if your computer is powered down. However, this is nothing to worry about, and will not harm your interface or computer. Please let us know if this makes sense or if you have additional questions.

    Need help, please. Is the USB connection on the 4th Gen Scarlett Solo good? Does it snap into place like a phone cable? The 3rd Gen Solo that I bought new came with a loose connection. The cable would try to fall out when moving the interface. Thanks.

      We're sorry to hear you have had trouble with your Scarlett. Scarlett 4th generation is connected by a standard USB-C cable, and should have no issues staying connected while recording. hi
    is it possible to set tones on the control panel? e.g. emphasize more bass and listen back to e.g. music? is this device only suitable for listening to music and enjoying music?

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  3 месяца назад

      Scarlett provides the connectivity and conversion required to accurately capture signals from microphones, instruments and line-level sources, on your Mac, Windows PC and USB-C iPad. Similarly, audio will be accurately output from Scarlett to headphones and connected monitor speakers. Scarlett and the accompanying Focusrite Control 2 application don't feature an EQ or the ability to emphasise specific frequencies but Scarlett does come bundled with a comprehensive selection of software options that can certainly be used to do that. You will have access to Ableton Live Lite, the Hitmaker Expansion and a three-month subscription to Pro Tools Artist.

    • @tamasbauer7402
      @tamasbauer7402 3 месяца назад

      thanks. are there any plans to use EQ in control 2? would be a perfect tool.@@FocusriteTV

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  3 месяца назад

      As audio doesn't pass through Focusrite Control 2, this isn't currently possible but we appreciate your feedback on this. Focusrite Control 2 essentially functions as a remote control for the hardware. If you want to process the signal and add EQ, you can do that using Ableton Live Lite.

      Yes. Whilst Scarlett 4th Gen is primarily designed for use with Mac and Windows PC it would be expected to be able to pass audio successfully if connected to an iPad Pro via USB-C, providing it is able to draw the required 1.5A USB-C power.

    What do I get, this or the Clarett+ 2pre? Singer/songwriter using a condenser and an SM58 dynamic together...nothing more complicated than that.... I'd heard the clarett+ 2pre isn't powerful enough for the simple SM58 dynamic, is this true?? can't be...

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's great to hear that you're considering our products! That's a tough one. Both will perform well and deliver fantastic results. Clarett+ has some superior specifications although Scarlett 4th Gen benefits from features not found on Clarett+ such as Loopback, Auto-Gain, Clip Safe, AIR - Presence & Harmonic Drive and remote controllable pre-amps. There's no reason why both wouldn't pair well with a Shure SM58. Both should provide adequate gain range for most applications.

      @@FocusriteTV Great many thanks! I think I'll go for the Clarett+ 4pre, seems to be a bit better overall (not really bothered about the other features). I started with Focusrite years ago and have been all over the place since then, I miss my Focusrite sound though so I'm coming back!

      @@FocusriteTV well drivers for apple silicon maybe? Lol

    • @FocusriteTV
      @FocusriteTV  10 месяцев назад +1

      Mac Drivers? Scarlett has actually always plug-and-play on Mac as it's a USB Class Compliant device. A proprietary Mac driver doesn't exist as it's not required. Scarlett utilises Apple Core Audio.
      Scarlett Mix Control, which essentially functions as a remote control for the hardware, is also compatible with Apple Silicon-based systems. Compatibility was added in version 1.10.6 of Scarlett MixControl, available from the 'Downloads' section of our website 👍
      Our Windows USB and Thunderbolt/PCIe drivers are also the same across all devices, meaning that 1st Gen Scarlett users are still getting the benefit of driver updates now, over a decade since we released that range.

    Unlucky, I thought u put a real limiter inside interface, without decrease gain, maybe in the future in 5th gen you'll innovated? But still imo this is the best interface = eazy to use without any problem compare to anothers interfaces. I hope in the future u put a real limiter and u add a knob for balans INPUT/USB sounds, then its a perfect interface for me and for everyone

    I have one of these. My advice to anyone who is thinking of getting one, don’t under any circumstances. I have never been able to use it. The software does not install you need two or three different accounts for things they need to sync, they don’t. The set up time for me so far is two years and counting. Everyone will tell you that it’s an easy set up. It’s not! Biggest waste of money.

      The only piece of software that Scarlett requires to function is Focusrite Control 2 which is freely available from the 'Downloads' section of our website, no account is required to access that.
      Scarlett is plug-and-play on Mac. For use with Windows, you just need the USB driver, which is included with the installation of Focusrite Control 2. Once installed Scarlett is ready to use with any audio application of your choice.
      By creating an account on our website and registering your Scarlett, you will have access to a selection of optional software offers. None of these programs are fundamental, we just provide some options to get you started. For most of the offers, we supply an activation code and a link that you can use to redeem the offer on the software manufacturer's website.
