    Hey, just a quick update from Focusrite!. The Preamps themselves are not RedNet, but the convertors are! The 4th Gen Scarletts have all-new remote-controlled preamps with 69dB of gain. They also have a huge 120dB dynamic range, using their flagship RedNet convertors. 🎶🎶🎶

    a latency performance-test would be the most important thing to know.

      @carpediemearth 2 месяца назад

      Yes. Companies and even many video reviewers never mention how the latency is.

    That's pretty cool! About airmode, isn't that also available in Gen 3.. so what is the difference between the Gen 3 and Gen 4 for airmode?

    Your audio sounds amazing, can you show us how processing (eq/compression etc) you use to achieve this sound?

    Great review: Question, 2023 4i4 Focusrite 4th Generation Scarlett Line inserts on the rear (3-4) 100% bypass the preamps?

    I'm not fussed about upgrading. I keep finding really cheap interfaces second hand. I'm on my second scarlett, 6i6 2nd gen... Makes beautiful music...

    Can you split the Main Inputs instead of them being tied together as stereo? That is something I have been hoping to get for years. If this is perfect for podcasting, I would guess they can be separated.

    Hi Alexes, nice video. Can the interface be used with iOS devices? They have separated power and data usb-c connections, right?

    is there a perceivable difference in gen 4 vs gen 3 on say the 4i4, for microphone recordings. Aside from level differences. I thought Gen 3 was pretty transparent?

      The air mode supposedly sounds better and i think the auto gain will definitely make for better recordings

    why everyone keep comparing with the gen 3?
    A more interesting comparison would be against clarett.

    • @lunchbox1553
      @lunchbox1553 7 месяцев назад +1

      Because it is less clear what's different between 3rd and 4th gen of the same thing, than it is between two different product lines. Also, if you're still curious, there is an article on focusrite's website that explains the difference between clarett and scarlett.

      @0Jebus0 ok, i get that, how about giving some feedback about gen4 and actually recomending it? Makes more sense in 2024

    I bought a 3rd generation 2 weeks ago and no one told me that the fourth generation was coming.
    I feel ripped off by Focusrite.
