I really don't think there's anything wrong with that Scarlet microphone. I mean what the hell are you looking for? It can pick up a rats fart from 20 ft away. Who gives a crap, it records your voice and it picks up pretty decent without post editing. People sing and record guitar well with the Scarlet microphone. Honestly I can't tell in God damn difference. I've give it an a okay.
I bought this bundle 3 years ago, and upgraded to an AT2020, and recently to a Rode NT1 5th Gen. And what they don't do enough in these videos, is talk about how important a mic is on your own voice. I did a mic comparison (for my own voice), and in a treated room (recording booth), I'm getting FAR BETTER clarity out of the Scarlett mic. The other two (for me), pick up WAY too much sibilance, are too boxy in treated areas (like a booth), it's an absolute war in the mids with the Rode NT1A, and the AT2020 can be flat/dull. And both of them, make my voice sound grainy, the opposite of smoothe. Yet, the Scarlett 2i2 mic, for me, has been very good. The main reason I got the other two mics, was because EVERYONE (on RUclips) goes on about how incredible they are. And I'm sure that they are, for certain/specific voices, but not for everyone. I also just got an SM58 that few people say to use for RUclips voiceover/narration, yet, for me, it also sounds MUCH better than the Rode NT1A and the AT2020, and I have mobility; instead of having to stand in one place all of the time. I gave it as a gift three times before I bought one for myself and will be buying one for a friend who is into voice overs and singing small jingles. I highly recommend it

I appreciate this well done review, I am a sophomore highschool student taking a a Recording Studio Techniques (Or otherwise known as an audio engineering class) and me and my teacher were having a discussion as to what we wanted for Christmas. I explained that for Christmas I wanted a Shure SM57 and he was glad that I was interested but suggested that I went with this Studio Kit from Focusrite because it was beginner friendly, he definitely wasn't wrong because even for someone still learning like me, I pretty much find every aspect of the kit (especially the audio interface) really simple and self explanatory Thank you for this review!

I threw them away and got me some open back sennheisers and everything improved 200%.
I don't get why people are so in love with the SM7B. No, I don't own one, it just seems really expensive for recording something that's pretty easy to record well: voice only. Plus the gain is really low on it. And also, if you have a quality mike and want to make it sound similar to the Shure, you can get 80% of the way there, by just warming up the EQ, right? On the other hand, there's no doubt that the Shure is definitely the coolest looking mike around. There's not a single mike that looks better. Anyways, I like his mike pick, AKG P120. I think Audio Technica AT 2020 is a good mike at reasonable cost too
This stuff is good. I got audio technica 2020 and i didn't liked it. focusrite stuff is to sing, not to talk. you can even imagine how I messed up everything in this set. It is surprisingly durable. the headphone cable is the worst but audio service will fix it for $15 if it breaks. I've been using this set for 6 years and it's damn comfortable.
I was just about to buy this kit and saw your video while researching. Bought AKG P120, Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen and beyerdynamic dt 770 instead and im loving it. Cheers!
@@didi3000 I'm very satisfied with the quality of everything i bought. If you buy the same headphones, i suggest that you buy the 80 ohm version. This Scarlett can definedly power 250 ohm headphones just well enough but please do some reseach on this yourself so you don't get disapointed! The P120 is just great, no worries there!
i got the 2i2 gen 3 studio bundle, it was like $30 more than the interface alone, on sale. i don't mind the sound of the mic and the headphones are a nice free bonus. felt like a no-brainer. might not be the best units but its hard to argue with the value at the price i paid.
im a complete beginner who was going to buy this, still might, and almost wasn't going to watch this cuz the thumbnail/title, but gotta say it was entertaining, informative and great. But I think you have a higher standard, which I probably couldn't tell the difference. Ive been re cording with a Blue Yeti only, so to be able to plug guitar and mic in directly is a huge step up. Thanks,
You have to keep in mind, that the Solo has just one Loudness Poti, so you have to unplug your Monitors in the Back or turn them off, if you just want to monitor by the headphones itself. The 2i2 costs 30$ more and has a dedicated loudness Poti for the headphone port.
I found the microphone at a thrift shop and it's pretty good. Really quiet so the gain is a little high with phantom power on, but it does the job. It's hands down the best mic compared to a lot of USB mics I've tried. It's clean and crisp, but a little bit "Muddy". I aim to find other mics that might do better.
I had this bundle as a newbie of sound recording...and I really have been doubted the quality of their bundle mic and headphone quality for so long...now only I realized that! and recently, I just got my Lewitt LCT440 pure and sennheiser HD280 pro, really worth the bucks and I am really happy with them :)
Hey there! Love your style and your humor. And I appreciate the advice. I was leaning towards getting the studio. After 30 years of being an engineer (chemical, not sound) I’m getting back to my first love. Music. I’ve got some money to spend. But I’m a tight wad and don’t like buying lower value items. I do think, this setup would be great for my nephew. But if I’m going to want to upgrade soonish, I might as well do it now…ish….? Heck my voice is so old and so out of practice it probably won’t matter. And you hit my button when you spoke of resale value. Thanks again! You got a like AND a subscribe.
Dear Team , Which home studio kit you recommend for a person want to start recording songs . She is completed her level 4 singing and want to start recording . She is good singer .
Thank you for the great information. I was thinking about buying the Scarlett solo kit. I was also looking at the kit with the studio speakers. Do you have any input on a good pair of speakers to connect to the Scarlett unit? Also, how do the speakers connect to it? I did not see speaker wire connections when you showed the back of the Scarlett unit. Thank you for all and any help.
I’ve been looking into getting into making a home studio and came across your video. I have to say thank you for your review, but I absolutely have to give praise that you gave other recommendations that stayed within the price range of the Scarlett bundle. I’m curious, however, if someone could or would mind helping me out. I have a gaming desktop and planned on plugging my interface into it. Would I be able to use my gaming headset to hear what I record? Or would I have to use specifically designed headsets for it? Could I have them both plugged in, and swap to the desired headset when I’m gaming/recording? Hope I explained my questions properly. Thanks in advance 🤘🏼
Your kit is much cheaper when you consider if you buy the bundle you’re going to want to buy a new mic anyway. I like the headphones, but I can not get this mic to sound good. Looking into the rode n2 unless somebody can recommend a cheaper alternative.
I've never understood someone spending $400 for an SM7B (store price), and then going cheap on an interface that struggles to drive the mic/headphones! Fact is, no one cared about the SM7B until it got out that it was Michael Jackson's favorite vocal mic, then suddenly every home studio owner had to have one! IMO better to buy a Shure Beta 58, which not only sounds cleaner than the SM7B (Unless you're going for the slightly muffled sound, in which case just get the Shure 58), but also poses no problem for the budget interfaces.
A bit late but I bought this kit from my friend who only hooked it up once, not due to any thing you said, just he thought he was going to record music, and realized he has no time for it. I have yet to try the mic I'm just now getting it set up, I bet the mic is better then my onn mic from wal mart that I use for my reactions haha. So to me its a win I hope.
So wait… the solo has an in slot for guitar but the 2i2 does not? I’m upset. Maybe I have an older model? My 2i2 does not have that and it was more expensive than the solo
im using this kit for while now, the headphones are great im suprise how well i can mix with them. I swapped the interface pretty much after 3monates for the apollo solo, cuz I had latenz issues with the focusrite solo 3rd gen, I couldnt record with lower than 3-5ms. but microphone is kinda meh not really good tbh and I also use it for Gaming or Video editor. so allrounder pack for cheap price. making Beats with it is okay and mixing also decent but Recording is trash. and the interface is not working with 250 ohmz headphones, u have to put it on MAX loudness to get hear something I can only recommend if u wanna record, go for UAD Apollo Solo or even Twin, if u want to start making Beats focusrite solo kit is kinda fine for just making Beats.
How is this headphone compared to my DT990 Pro 250Ohm? I use that headphone in my studio but while I am travelling I want something that goes with my 2i2 because this 250Ohm headphone is really quite when I connect it without the headphone amp. I thinking of getting this bundle, will it be okay and also how's this mic is compared to AT2035?
Hey I was wondering. It seemed like you liked the interface besides the issue of gain. Would you recommend the interface. I already knew about the P120 AKG Mic and was surely going to buy that, I don't need headphones, and am find working in post. So would you recommend the interface?
Hey guys, I have not played guitar for almost 4 years but want to get into it again, Since i live in an apartment, I want to plug it into the computer and play. I bought a Line6 UX1 to play into the computer with headphones back then. That soundcard or i/o or what you call it must be many years old by now. Is there anything better "bang for your buck" kind of soundcard right now I would get much better quality with, that does not cost a fortune ? I want to be able to plug in my guitars (6-8 strings) with both passive and active pickups and learn my fav music and also record music I make myself. Do you guys have any tips ? Both hardware and software (software with amps and effects) that work together. I play mostly metal music and rock. I do not want the soundcard or what you call it to be more expensive than 300$. I am just an amateur that wants to start playing again and get better but want it to sound good. Thanks in advance for any help guys! PS my friend told me the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen was a good choice for the money, what do you guys think?
I just purchased Focusrite Solo 3rd Gen and when I GO LIVE on FB (or just record in Quicktime) the sound only comes out the left side. I understand that this happens because the Focusrite Solo considers input 1 (XLR) to be the left channel and input 2 (1/4 inch) to be the right channel. Now this would be an easy fix in post with any DAW because I can process the final output in Mono however because I GO LIVE and I dont have the option to fix in post (because it is LIVE) How can I get the live audio on the left and right side of the recording when recording live?
You can fix this! If you go to sound settings and go to output you can set it to mono so that both inputs will be together OR you can use whatever streaming application and see if there is an option to select input 1.
Can you comment on what operating system is needed on the PC? Does it become obsolete when Microsoft requires a new operating system.? This is what happened with my m-audio interface which required software for win 95/98.
I have had nothing but problems with interfaces being linked with usb 3.0. They are all still usb 2.0 but with the USB-C link. Maybe it is just my chipset being the problem...who knows
@@joseaflores9427 no. You will need to buy mic cables. The interface may come with one...but often does not. The USB cable for the interface DOES come with it though
The Scarlett studio mic uses a 20mm electret condenser capsule and the circuit board looks sadly similar to a BM 800. It's junk in a sort of nice housing. There are some specs at recordinghacks.....
Let's hope the 2i2 works out. Just ordered today. I only will want to use it for VST and audio out to my studio monitors. Fingers crossed . It has to better than my antique Motu 828 mkii!
@@Curious_Skeptic so far I am using my old Scarlett Solo 2nd gen on windows 11 the drivers work just fine. Windows 11 basically uses the same drivers as windows 10. Oh and it’s windows 11 on a supposedly unsupported hardware, old i7 3770K cpu and shit.
Hey man...honestly I'm personally not the biggest fan of AKG cans... Not because of the sound...they sound fine...just the fit and the build isn't my taste. That said...if you don't mind it...the sound is actually quite good
Wishfully, I would go straight for the big budget bling boys. Realistically, being low on budget and needing to stay mobile, the 2i2 bundle basically does what I need it to do to to get me started. Altho, ngl, those headphones really do make me look forward to snatching the DT 770 pro
I have this same exact kit so Y do i have too record low when I turn it up I hear a lot of static n it sounds like it’s skipping??? Pls help I just got it for Christmas
I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen, Rode NT1, and Sennheiser HD 300 Pro separately, not in a kit. Much better individual components though the total did come to be approximately $700 USD so definitely not cheap but I did buy the headphones later. I bought the interface and microphone together initially. I also have a Shure SM57 and will be looking to get an SM7B at some point.
i have a question, between the Scarlett mic and the Rode NT 1..what is your best decision between the two because Im leaning more over to the NT1 as it has great reviews and nw its the first time Im seeing the Scarlett Mic
Bought the scarlet solo and at2020 (+cable) as a birthday gift which I will hand over tomorrow. Still gonna need a mic stand and probably pop filter and headphones. I will recommend the audio technica ath-m20x headphones. Thank you for this video!
i wish you people on youtube thinking you know so much about sound, WOULD REALIZE your 'listen to this...THEN listen to THAT" cant be heard due to youtube squishing your sound. NONE OPF US ARE HEARING YOUR MIC as being harsh or ANY of that. none of us are hearing that fan you were referencing...NONE of it... dude, people dont care on the USWER end. only the guy behind the mic is this worried.
I heard it. I think being shown an example of how much white noise there is is important for people who are looking to make ASMR videos. But I know what you mean, for the average Joe these things don't really matter.
@@thermochemist Yes of course. You wanna have the best sound quality possible if you are a content creator. I was just responding to OP who doesn't seem to think it is that important 😅 But all this detail in the review is important if you're thinking of spending money on equipment for sure. You want it to sound good!
@@thermochemist For example I'm trying to film content now and my sound is absolute trash so I'm watching these videos to find out what I need to make it better coz it's gonna sound absolute trash to whoever will be watching my videos 😅
It makes no sense to make this video. Some people don't have your budget so they can only afford this Focusrite Scarlett Solo and shouldn't be boo'd for doing that
Amazing video, putting together a package for the same price is so helpful! Now that the Solo 4 is out, the Solo 3 is 80 bucks on Amazon, with the Studio package at 150. I'm having trouble determining whether the microphone is worth the 70 bucks, or I'd be better served by another cheap XLR microphone like the Marantz MPM1000 (which comes with a small stand!). Focusrite's opacity on the specs of the microphone is not helping! 😆
Can I ask, what are people's issues with boosting in post? If you record into obs you can give it a run of post gain and not ruin your audio. So who is this an issue for?
@@DarkCornerStudios so what is the scope of this product? If this is your argument then you need to open with this. You and I know this product type is aimed at consumers and bringing up gain in post is fine and there are plenty of tests where this works including your own in this video
@ionrage no. Outside of live...there is no reason to record over neg 12 Headroom allows for error, but also to maintain a lack of additional noise from preamps. Clipping audio sounds horrible and no one wants to hear that. The proper way to treat audio in live situations is with compression and a limiter if you want loud output.
@@DarkCornerStudios I don't see how you can get clipped audio if you boost in post and add a limiter anyways . Why don't you try turning the dial at 3 o clock and boost in post to a nice listening level and see if you will notice the difference. It's up to the people is that wish to use this too stream and obs provides the tools for good audio
What makes me made is I’m trying to hook it up to amp rooted and I test the audio and I hear stuff from the software and i can see the input level of my guitar on the software then it just buzzes on the software
Make sure you select the 2nd input only for guitar or it will get both the mic and the instrument channels mixed, in Amped Roots. I use that with my Scarlett solo and a cheap guitar and it works just fine.
I'm considering this bundle 2nd hand for interim solution while I wait for my studio to be shipped overseas. $137 including an Akai MPK Mini Mk2 thrown in the mix. I can either buy this and use the headphones for production or buy the solo solo (see what I did there) for $82 and a pair of BD DT990s for another $100 but then no controller (which I really like for producing). Any thoughts? That's pretty much my current budget maxed out.
Thank you so much! Even though I´m buying the Scarlet solo "heart" (currently not much avaible here), I bought just jack 6,2 reduction for headphones since I got decent headphones and XLR - BUT, I listened to your advice and going for AKG 120. And still it will cost me less than this kit. I think I would be fine with the kit, since I got nothing (and better something than nothing).
@@DarkCornerStudios ah noice, just got my digital piano in house now just missing the mic and interface, fingers crossed hope that turns out better then others

The Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen is the biggest piece of shit I ever bought. It didn’t work at all and was clipping, but I was able to fix it, and then it worked fine for the first few weeks but the headphone Jack never worked, so I had to use the output on the back and then after a little bit of time, that started clipping the audio every time I would record. I tried to return it to Guitar Center but they said they couldn’t honor it since I was past a month of purchasing it. So just know that Guitar Center sends out damaged shit and doesn’t care about replacing it.
That is an odd situation. Can guarantee that isn't the usual experience with the Scarlett lineup. Sorry to hear those problems. I would contact Focusrite directly...find out who the distributor is in your country and get them to fix it
@@DarkCornerStudios Honestly, the entire situation just kind of pushed me away from Focusrite products entirely. I’ve read tons of reviews of the Solo and many had the exact same issues I did. I was considering just getting something a bit more expensive instead of cheaper like I did with the Solo. On the other hand, there's no doubt that the Shure is definitely the coolest looking mike around. There's not a single mike that looks better. Anyways, I like his mike pick, AKG P120. I think Audio Technica AT 2020 is a good mike at reasonable cost too
Finally, bro! Got around to giving me the thumbs up to buy it. Thanks! Good video.
Edit: Had exorcise the ghost in the machine that’s roaming the webs and leaving nasty messages. Your content was very informative. …Nevermind him! :p
Cheers!
Awesome!
Close call!!
Should I buy ur set up for my first home studio?
@@didi3000 I'm very satisfied with the quality of everything i bought. If you buy the same headphones, i suggest that you buy the 80 ohm version. This Scarlett can definedly power 250 ohm headphones just well enough but please do some reseach on this yourself so you don't get disapointed! The P120 is just great, no worries there!
Amazing.
Glad it worked out for you
@@Banaani0 I may get your set up if I don’t have enough for the pricey one, but what kinda mic stand did u get? I can’t find one
i got the 2i2 gen 3 studio bundle, it was like $30 more than the interface alone, on sale. i don't mind the sound of the mic and the headphones are a nice free bonus. felt like a no-brainer. might not be the best units but its hard to argue with the value at the price i paid.
im a complete beginner who was going to buy this, still might, and almost wasn't going to watch this cuz the thumbnail/title, but gotta say it was entertaining, informative and great.
The 2i2 costs 30$ more and has a dedicated loudness Poti for the headphone port.
nub here. what is a poti?
@@jaywarren3505 following...
@@jaywarren3505 I am sure he meant those volume knobs on in other words potentiometer.
I found the microphone at a thrift shop and it's pretty good. Really quiet so the gain is a little high with phantom power on, but it does the job.
It's hands down the best mic compared to a lot of USB mics I've tried. It's clean and crisp, but a little bit "Muddy".
I aim to find other mics that might do better.
what mic u got now
I had this bundle as a newbie of sound recording...and I really have been doubted the quality of their bundle mic and headphone quality for so long...now only I realized that! and recently, I just got my Lewitt LCT440 pure and sennheiser HD280 pro, really worth the bucks and I am really happy with them :)
can i use the scarlett mic directly to the pc with XLR do 3,5 mm Mini Jack comverter (without the box)?
Nope...condensers require phantom
You got a like AND a subscribe.
you should also mention it comes with Ableton live lite,, DAW's can be kinda expensive lol
Yeah that in itself I'd a TOTAL Score!!! It's not as bad as he says !
Yes...yes it is.
It's a shite mic...and the headphones are utter trash.
Just because you have it...doesn't make it good.
What would be a better match as affordable small-ish interface with the SM7b ?
Super useful video thank you :)
Thanks for watching!!
M-AUDIO 192-6 Or do I buy the SCARLETT 2I2 ?
What would you suggest for someone who bought the kit and wants to upgrade ?
Saw this budget option and almost got it over what I originally wanted which is the Røde NT1
amazing as always MUCH APPRECIATED
So to me its a win I hope.
cloud lift lifter works good on sm7b
My computer is picking up the audio but logic isn’t.
Any advice?
The only thing I am thinking about to upgrade is he microphone
So wait… the solo has an in slot for guitar but the 2i2 does not? I’m upset. Maybe I have an older model? My 2i2 does not have that and it was more expensive than the solo
Thanks Aiden, for your honest review -- it has generated valuable commentary and information for us all.
Cheers and thank you!
Managed to grab this pack today on the bay for 68 gbp. Pretty happy with that!
What should I buy for clone of 7b?
man wdyt bout this set up, solo 4th gen, m20x, rode nt1 5th gen, pls answer
the microphone is more than decent, especially if you process the sound
Would you recommend the akg p22o mic if the scarlet solo mic
why not get a used beta 58 for $60?
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge ☺️
im using this kit for while now, the headphones are great im suprise how well i can mix with them. I swapped the interface pretty much after 3monates for the apollo solo, cuz I had latenz issues with the focusrite solo 3rd gen, I couldnt record with lower than 3-5ms. but microphone is kinda meh not really good tbh and I also use it for Gaming or Video editor. so allrounder pack for cheap price. making Beats with it is okay and mixing also decent but Recording is trash. and the interface is not working with 250 ohmz headphones, u have to put it on MAX loudness to get hear something
I can only recommend if u wanna record, go for UAD Apollo Solo or even Twin, if u want to start making Beats focusrite solo kit is kinda fine for just making Beats.
can you recommend sound card with mic that can record voice and guitar at least 1 meter away from mic?
@Country_Acoustic there is no mic i would recommend using 1 meter away from a sound source
That's not how recording works
How is this headphone compared to my DT990 Pro 250Ohm? I use that headphone in my studio but while I am travelling I want something that goes with my 2i2 because this 250Ohm headphone is really quite when I connect it without the headphone amp. I thinking of getting this bundle, will it be okay and also how's this mic is compared to AT2035?
Would a Scarlett Solo be a good combo with an AT2035?
Scarlett Solo is a great interface with any mic
Hey I was wondering. It seemed like you liked the interface besides the issue of gain. Would you recommend the interface. I already knew about the P120 AKG Mic and was surely going to buy that, I don't need headphones, and am find working in post. So would you recommend the interface?
Yes...absolutely.
I own one myself
My focusrite Solo is giving so much sound, I've tried everything thing just don't get it right. Can someone please help me
guys i need to know which of the interface is good Scarlett Solo 3gen or M-audio 192 4 ? help
Eventually it might happen...but there is no way to tell what future proofing is going to be available.
Works with Win10 and Win11
I have the M-AUDIO M-TRACK 2X2M since 2019 without problems, but always connected to a dedicated usb 3.0 port
I have had nothing but problems with interfaces being linked with usb 3.0.
They are all still usb 2.0 but with the USB-C link.
Maybe it is just my chipset being the problem...who knows
Thanks I was about to buy the set, thanks soo much for helping, but do we have to buy USB’s to connect the mic and headphones to the solo interface?
The usbs?
This interface isn't for usb connection.
This is only for xlr connection for mics...and 1/4 inch connection for headphones
@@DarkCornerStudios I meant if we need wires to connect the mic and headphones to the interface. Or does it come with them.
I use an sm7b ran through a cloudlifter into my scarlet
Let's hope the 2i2 works out. Just ordered today. I only will want to use it for VST and audio out to my studio monitors. Fingers crossed . It has to better than my antique Motu 828 mkii!

@@Curious_Skeptic so far I am using my old Scarlett Solo 2nd gen on windows 11 the drivers work just fine. Windows 11 basically uses the same drivers as windows 10. Oh and it’s windows 11 on a supposedly unsupported hardware, old i7 3770K cpu and shit.
what is your opinion on the AKG Pro Audio K240 STUDIO headphones for streaming/gaming use.
Soooo, would this power both Beyerdynamic 990 250 OHM and a AT2035 at the same time?
I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen, Rode NT1, and Sennheiser HD 300 Pro separately, not in a kit. Much better individual components though the total did come to be approximately $700 USD so definitely not cheap but I did buy the headphones later. I bought the interface and microphone together initially. I also have a Shure SM57 and will be looking to get an SM7B at some point.
You have excellent home studio equipments. Congratulations. No you buy Yamaha mixture having at least 8 inputs.
How do you sort the only left channel output audio issue pls? Thank You
i have a question, between the Scarlett mic and the Rode NT 1..what is your best decision between the two because Im leaning more over to the NT1 as it has great reviews and nw its the first time Im seeing the Scarlett Mic
Im a Recording Artist also, so Im looking for a good mic in my home studio
Oh god...nt1 by a mile.
Bought the scarlet solo and at2020 (+cable) as a birthday gift which I will hand over tomorrow. Still gonna need a mic stand and probably pop filter and headphones. I will recommend the audio technica ath-m20x headphones. Thank you for this video!
i wish you people on youtube thinking you know so much about sound, WOULD REALIZE your 'listen to this...THEN listen to THAT" cant be heard due to youtube squishing your sound. i mean i listen in some pretty good headphones and audio quality really matters to me user end
I heard it. I think being shown an example of how much white noise there is is important for people who are looking to make ASMR videos. But I know what you mean, for the average Joe these things don't really matter.
@@sandcrushlove yeah but if your a large youtuber then you want to keep that section of the audience that does like higher quality sound

Did you even watch this freaking video?
I have no issue with the interface.
Jesus man...do your homework before spitting online
I was wondering about the headphones? how are they compared to headphones in the 100$ range? like ATH-M20x and Sennheiser HD-200 pro
ah so I reached the end of your video and my questions are answered :p thank you. I have the 2nd gen solo bundle btw and use it to record guitar
You're the Hero sir. ❤️
Micrófono Scarlet o micrófono audio técnica ?
Can I ask, what are people's issues with boosting in post? If you record into obs you can give it a run of post gain and not ruin your audio.
So who is this an issue for?
Almost every professionally trained audio engineer?
@@DarkCornerStudios so what is the scope of this product? If this is your argument then you need to open with this.
You and I know this product type is aimed at consumers and bringing up gain in post is fine and there are plenty of tests where this works including your own in this video
@ionrage no.
Outside of live...there is no reason to record over neg 12
Headroom allows for error, but also to maintain a lack of additional noise from preamps.
Clipping audio sounds horrible and no one wants to hear that.
The proper way to treat audio in live situations is with compression and a limiter if you want loud output.
@ionrage and no...this product it aimed at people starting out a recording studio...not streamerz
@@DarkCornerStudios I don't see how you can get clipped audio if you boost in post and add a limiter anyways .
Why don't you try turning the dial at 3 o clock and boost in post to a nice listening level and see if you will notice the difference.
It's up to the people is that wish to use this too stream and obs provides the tools for good audio
i have the solo 3rd gen, looking to upgrade my mic as of now and the interface later on. could anyone recommend me some?
What makes me made is I’m trying to hook it up to amp rooted and I test the audio and I hear stuff from the software and i can see the input level of my guitar on the software then it just buzzes on the software
Make sure you select the 2nd input only for guitar or it will get both the mic and the instrument channels mixed, in Amped Roots. I use that with my Scarlett solo and a cheap guitar and it works just fine.
Im so pissed i didn’t come to this video before buying it. My biggest regret ever. I felt everything you said. I subscribed

That sucks...sorry to hear that.
First deal sounds banger bruh
How about if you were just looking to get the audio interface, not the kit. I just want to plug my guitar into my computer to run Bias Fx 2.
The Scalett Solo is fantastic...it is a great purchase if that is all you are looking for
Thank you so much!

Great Video! Love Scarlett interfaces!
