I’ve seen other breeders tell people over and over to do their homework before the dog gets there, and yet so many never do. Great Hans stayed with them to get a good crash course. Hopefully they’ll take advantage of Hans’ training.
Beautiful dog - hoping the owner steps up her game a bit and does the dog justice. Frustrating to watch her dismiss the importance of what Hans is trying to help her with and convey to her.
I make the same trip fairly often. Sometimes from Seligman to San Diego as well. One trip through the border checkpoint they were actually having the dogs sniff every vehicle. We had my working dog sitting quietly behind me. (working line German Shepherd female) We rolled down the window so the agent could see us, my dog tilted her head as if to ask if there was a problem. They waved us through saying she was enough identification for us. If you make the trip often enough, the agents will start to recognize you.
Great long video. Really enjoy all those stories. Very nice dog, and exactly the type of Czech dog on first impression. Beautiful on the eyes of beholders, and calm confident yearn to please.
Loved the road trip commentary to and from LA International ....... made for colourful entertaining video. Hopefully the lady documented devotes adequate time and input to bring out the potential of her newly acquired Czech GSD. Hopefully the dismissive nonchalant attitude transitions into one of more attentive willingness to learn and understand and appreciate what she has at the far end of the leash. Most importantly hopefully your tutelage continues for the benefit of the the dog as well as the new owner. 👍

What an amazing dog. Been watching your video. We have a 14 month old Czech female. He looks like a perfect brother. How do I look into getting one like him through Hans?
I recently found out that if I use Turkish airlines to Miami, I can fill out the form myself and save around 450.00 what the CBs charge. But now that there is no importing puppies, I guess it don't matter.
Yes there is.. as long as the country you are importing from isnt banned from the cdc list and if it is banned they must be 6 months old showing proper vacs and paperwork.
The law says that you MUST have custom broker on any shipment over $2000. if the customs let you through then it is their decision but if they say that you need CB then you are in and heap of shit.
@@joesfreshaquatics6488 Effective August 1, 2024, all dogs imported into the U.S. are required to: (1) Appear healthy upon arrival, (2) Be at least six months of age, (3) Have an ISO-compatible microchip implanted for identification purposes, and (4) Be accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form online submission receipt (no cost). No more puppies, unless they changed this since last month when they announced it. 6 months or older is not ideal.
The shipping from all countries is banning dogs under 6 mo and you need a special CDC permit even if it is over 6 mo or if it is your own dog. So if you go to let say Canada with your dog you will not be allowed to bring your dog back if it is under 6 mo or if older if you do not have a CDC permit. AR in action.
Thats a really good looking dog! I had a question about the way the dog pees...my male German Shepherd(not neutered) does not lift his leg up as well. I don't think it is a big deal but I had an IGP trainer look at my dog pee during a seminar and make a weird face 🤷♀ Does that style of peeing have any correlation with the dog's temperament or any behavioral traits?

@@lukeryuzaki2328 No, I don't think that's his motive. I would though question her motive. Although the dogs are cared for and have a beautiful kennel area, why aren't they in the house? Even if put on a place command, they would most likely prefer that to being in a kennel. Both my dogs are by my side most of the time. I have a Malinois and a German Short/wirehaired Pointer mix, a year ago I had to say goodbye to my boxer/lab mix Mimi due to advancing Degenerative Myelopathy symptoms. I would love another Malinois, I'm 62. I would have done my homework regarding the bonding and commands even as far as listening to how the word is said by native Czech speakers, but she had done nothing to prepare. It was frustrating to watch and I'm sure it was frustrating for Hans as well, probably more so even.
I was joking about Hans. Definitely baffled about how the lady owner seems to lack leash handling skill, not even know how to open the crate. But yeah, it's not really our business to look too deep into this situation without making light of it with some humor. Best wishes to Mr. Hans.

Thank you too for watching

Any plans to cover breeding methodology and genetics
This is a complex issue and we are thinking about it. I am also planning writing a book on the topic...if I live that long...lol

How hard is it to learn the commands before hand (or to give praise)?
first you do hand and voice commands together then you separate them. It is not too hard. Get my obedience video from AlpineK9real.com
in the video Hans is asked how much bigger the dog will get , what was his reply .As i cant make out what he says. thank you
I can only guess what I have said and if that is it then it is not fit for social media.
The link to "Purchase Instructional Videos" doesnt work 😉

Could that dog grow into ' too much dog' for the lady. Just an observation, no disrespect intended.
No. I do not think so. She is pretty tough with dogs.
