I'm here for this!!! After the Rick Shiels episode I've wanted more of the gameplay from Iona. The commentary, the conversation, the course knowledge, sometimes history tidbits. This is going to be amazing.

Would rather watch someone with Iona's presentation skills than any "influencer" golf RUclipsr. She's pure class.

Iona, I used to be off plus 3 when I was 15 years old. Watching you has given me the drive to get out my ping eye 2,s out the barn and intend to start playing again after 45 years of not playing. Thank you for some amazing content and tips.x ❤

As a somewhat creaky 76 year old golfer, I will remember your excellent points about taking the club that YOU need (not being prideful) and accepting that you don’t have to judge by perfection more by enjoyment…. great series 👏🏻👏🏻
Iona is just the best. Commentary is so pleasant and the golf is great. The match with Rick is still one of my favorite watches.
Smashed my wrist about 12 years ago - my first thought was "will I play golf again", as the injury was described to me. Couldn't hit a full shot for a year, then I adopted graphite shafts to try and minimise further impact damage. As my wrist continued to reshape, things got better, and I've just changed my irons back to steel, as I needed those.
I still need to hit a "held off release" - I can't control a conventional one due to the left still being much weaker than the right, but I've finally found game again. I've rebuilt my club set over the last year, refitted to my new strength, and am just beginning to build up confidence with the new driver. I also avoid "load" work on my wrists as much as possible - eg press ups or weights above head - and a swing is tension, not load.
And being on the course is still my obsession. Worth it.
Loving this channel. Iona is a natural. How about a round with Louise Duncan. Louise is having a wee bit of a tough time since the Scottish Open having missed a couple of cuts. She’s quite quiet and intense but also very funny. The contrast in the two personalities would make e great episode.
Your videos with Rick and others have inspired my daughter to take up golf. She was excited to watch this together and now wants to start her own breaking 50 challenge (9 holes). Thanks for being an inspiration to young girls and their dads everywhere.
I'm going to instantly like any video you put out, Iona. To me, you are the top female YT content creator. I truly think you should be over the 100,000 subscribers mark, and will do so if more videos are published, as you are able, of course. As a 56 year-old golfer I have arthritis in my right hip and degenerative disc disease in my neck, so I don't practice either, but rather play at a frequency that allows me to not irritate my conditions so badly that I have to stop and go back to physical therapy. I hope you are able to continue to enjoy the game you love so much and stay as healthy as possible.
We don’t care where you play or who you play with. Just play and enjoy it. But, all those hidden gems in Scotland and Ireland with the history, people, pubs and golf would be awesome. ❤
Vivacious personality, knowledgeable in golf and entertaining and certainly one of the top presenters to come into Sky Golf recently along with Dame Laura Davies (who I petitioned to join Sky Golf).
I wish Iona would replace Henni Zuel as that woman makes me change the channel until ‘normal service’ is resumed.

Your videos are an epiphany. Somebody playing with an injury, someone being brutally honest about the game. I saw your interview with Adam Scott and I felt the questions you asked were the questions I would have wanted to hear Adam answer and he’s so much the ambassador the sport needs. Such a great interview. Thank you so much. My injury is college sports related and causes me to plough up the tee with my left foot on drives. I’m not going to worry about it anymore.
Iona, the way you explained your plan for each stroke was captivating. I'm in.

Great idea for a new series....and a more than decent start!
1. I don't know how everyone who watches this and everything you do is not completely in love with you. 2. This is instruction in the psychology of golf at a high level. 3. Did I mention the love thing...? 4. Please make this a full-on series. It makes pro golf so much more relatable than boring coverage of the televised events, which really don't do much to connect the viewer to the golfer.

I have been a member for the best part of 40 years, but rarely get up there lately.
The club would really benefit from the publicity that being on your series would provide.

I find my pup to be the best caddie, very little advice, minimal help finding my lost balls, but never a judgemental look, she’s just happy to be part of the game. It helps that she’s better behaved than most members of my club (I’m sure you’d be very welcome there!) and she’s always keen to be the one with most strokes.

I can't believe you play so seldom. You've still got it! Heathland is nice but it would be great to see some episodes on the links, and why not some hidden gems. A guest is also nice to share the banter. Rick, Pete, are always fun but I'm sure you can also lure some male and female pros with your connections. Perhaps some legends who we don't see much anymore? Cheers

Excited for a new series - one of the best golf content creators on youtube. I'm not sure whether it would have mass appeal, but for golf nerds, it would be fun to have you play with other golf insiders that are typically behind the scenes. I think you previously played with the head of R&A. Probably a lot of great perspectives on how they see the game and their role in it.

Loved watching this and listening to your views on injury & dreams. Whilst I was never at your elite level I had to give up golf in 2007 due to multiple spinal surgeries and understand your feelings towards golf. Luckily I’ve found a Physio who works with professional major winners and I’m playing again. Every round is a blessing. Highlight of this year is travelling from Australia to my home country in August and playing Crail with my brothers and father. Inspired by your Rick Shiels appearance. Keep up the great work. Fuck that was longer than I expected!!! Oh love your dogs.

I think it can really work!! Thanks for doing this, I love watching golf content and I've a feeling your videos and your unique approach are going to be really important tools in my own golf bag of goodies. UPDATE: I've finished watching the whole vid now and it delivers!! Finding the 'red' tee, come on! Keep doing what you're doing Iona, its great. Here's a thought, is "On course with Iona" worth considering as a subtle change to the channel name before you hit your first million?

Really enjoyed this thank you. You are still hard on yourself. You aren’t just playing golf you are working another job of presenting this series at the same time. It is harder to shoot “in the red” when you are combining the jobs/activities. You are amazing. I first saw you on Rick Shiels’ channel. I enjoy watching a woman golf for a change. We don’t get a lot of coverage. I took up golf in my 50s and still work at getting better. Never did any other sport so it was a challenge, and still is. Can’t wait to see more shows in your series.

Wanted to see you on your own channel. Interesting to hear of your self doubts as you have always come across as so positive and natural. As for potential playing partners it might be good to get in a few of the older pro's such as Monty, Sandy, Padraig, Peter Baker etc... No point going down the same route as Finch, Shiels, Bullard, Golf Mates. Pick the brains of these guys, they've been there and done it. What do they wish they had done differently?? You get the drift...Good luck x

At last! I’ve been hoping for more content from you Iona. Your energy and delivery on screen is superb. So easy to watch, informative and entertaining in equal measure. While I find a few of the newer golf influencers a little irritating and hollow (merely seeking fame/fortune) your approach is so genuine and authentic.
I hope you are able to dedicate some time to this alongside your other commitments.
PS I love the name Iona, possibly owing to the fact the midwife at Dundee hospital who delivered my daughter (way back in 2003!) was called Iona. 😊
