Thanks so much for watching this episode guys, would be fun to know what you think I’m gonna shoot before the video ends? Leave a comment below with a guess!
@@johnmull59 couldn’t agree more. in her own words, on the great peter alliss, she paints a picture… never says anything in a hurry… allows the picture to breathe… she’s old school magic! 🍻
There is something so relaxing listening to you explaining your way around the course and telling stories about your experiences, love watching your videos, keep them up.
A tough cancer fight left me with some big disabilities and I've been struggling to be able to play golf again, even with a cart. Not exactly the same, but your struggle with your wrist resonates with me. Your passion and enthusiasm are an inspiration!
Who doesn't love a trip down memory lane. Love your little comments to yourself as you are playing like at the halfway house you told yourself "don't get your knickers in a twist!", priceless. Nice round of golf and the stories you are sharing from your past are interesting. Really like his series
Hi Iona, it’s fabulous watching you play, I’m now 66 and disabled, but with the help of a buggy, I can still play 18 holes. I love this game so much, and will be devastated if I have to give it up at some point. I’ve played golf since I was 16, and the enthusiasm never dies. Thanks for your wonderful channel. Would love one of your golf balls if it’s possible. Melissa
You are such a talented golfer with a beautiful kind soul, I can’t imagine you not being friends with anyone! You can really hear/see through the videos how much you love the game and have dedicated so much to it. Thank you for the content I thoroughly enjoy it! All the best, Joe
Excellent, I’m 57 and still carry my bag too as I actually see golf as “exercise “ Borrowed someone’s electric trolley the other week and was stressed I’d damage it. Basically golf is so much better for me when it’s kept simple
Half set on 9 is my “Goldilocks” for carrying. Otherwise it’s trolley and a staff bag. Still walking though! Anything more than 18 in a day and a buggy does come into the reckoning!
Such a joyous watch Iona @ontheroadwithiona Love how you keep it so relaxed with loadsa great golf sayings and funny phrases. Alcatraz, missing your mouth with a fork, out of the screws, knickers in a twist, they all got a mention😂 Emily must have been muting the mic between takes with the giggling.Great episode Iona. The flatstick wasnt your wand for the day, but your personality shone through like a magic wand anyways. Big Up for the next episode. 🥳
Another fantastic video! Love how self-reflective Iona is. Her humility and appreciation to be able to play golf at a special course serve as wonderful models for aspiring young golfers
Iona has a great game despite her wrist injury - real shame -- love watching her approach to game , plus her personality with recollections makes this series a must watch -- two courses so far very familiar with. Another Well known locally choice of two at The Berkshire - could do this but after Walker cup - invite John Gough about to play USA a member of The Berkshire or still local which I presume will be convenient - nice course attached to hotel just north of Henley - Badgemore Park - members plus available to corporate and green fees -- lower cost but decent condition course -- but many watching can play course without breaking the bank Alternative course -- and could be fortunate - invite Tyrrell Hatton to play with her again just outside Henley at Harleyford GC -- Hatton may have time as believe off prior to Ryder cup Whatever looking forward to next episode
You are such an inspiration Iona. Your passion for the game and not giving up playing when faced with the adversity of the injury. We were all routing for you out there 👍🏼 Loving the full course video 👌🏼
Some people just have a voice you can listen to and Iona just has it she is funny she is serious when she needs to be but most of all after listening to her story she just has that perfect way of helping every golfer with what ever they need to sort out just fantastic keep this channel going please.
Was really looking forward to episode 2 , and it didn't disapoint. Your driving and pitching are so consistant, and your course management has been briliant to observe. For someone who plays so little golf,it shows that class does appear to be permanent 🙂.Looking forward to Episode 3 .Delighted you managed to get your clubs back,I hope the people responsible are ashamed of themselves.
What a JOY it is watching you play golf. Always a sunny smile and positive attitude. You speak as if your commentating a tournament and always providing helpful tips!!! Hope your wrist gets better and you'd be a GREAT addition to either the LET or LPGA as you've got the skills to be a WINNER!!!!! I've got neurological damage throughout my entire body stemming from a Brain Tumor but still get out there at leaset twice a month as I truly love the game and having some fun with my friends and 3 Boys... Would love a ball - possibly with an autograph if possible. Subscribed to your channel immediately after seeing you play a round with Rick Shiels as the two of you together looked like a couple of young " goofballs" just having fun and enjoying one another's company. Keep the Vids coming and eagerly anticipating the next Chasing the Red Video!!!! PS - Absolutely LOVE the fact that you played Ice Hockey - one of my favorite sports!!!
Fantastic 2nd episode, I love how authentic you are, which is a rare trait. In the book “Zen Golf”, which I’d recommend for any golfer, the author recommends playing from the front tees so that you get used to scoring - essentially it echoes and doubles down on what you said during the round.
Oh my! You are hitting the Tip Spot today! Gonna suggest to my regular four ball that we play off the forward tees next week! I bet they laugh me off the course; either way I’m doing it!
Also @ontheroadwithiona - I would love one of your "On The Road with Iona" Titleist 15 balls :) Big Iona fan and big Titleist fan over here in Canada. At the very least can I "steal" your "missing your mouth with a fork" comment? :P
Very enjoyable series I am also glad you decided to do this. Seeing your competitive side is fun…great 3 on #11! Would love a #15 Iona ball! If you come to the USA you always have a partner to play with in me. 😎
Fantastic golf series Wentworth looks awesome. Your enthusiasm and course management skills will help me.. would love one of your OTRWI balls if possible .. keep in the red 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻
Iona I really enjoy your spirt and wish their were more people in this world with your enthusiasm. Keep on keeping on and I'll be routing for the RED to come.
Iona, your chat about tees, ie forward/ back tees etc getting used to putting for birdies etc. You talk great sense. As always, good on you. Come to Dunstanburgh Castle GC someday, I think you’d enjoy it 👍👍😀
Brilliant watch Iona, you are welcome to come to Ayrshire and take on Royal Beith. Love your competitive edge and your own golf terminology…..Chipinable 😅
'Missing a green with a wedge is like missing your mouth with a fork'. Taking that to the golf course with me and dining out on it for a long time! Another lovely vlog, Iona. Your commentary is really easy to listen to, like talking to your mate whist playing a round. Looking forward to the next one. If you have any spare balls I'd love to have one.
Absolutely brilliant Iona, my 4 and 6 year old daughters are getting really keen on the game and watching your enthusiasm is a joy, they love the video's 👍
Thanks, you are entertaining to say the least. After the first drive it appeared you might be special. You find the target time after time. Thanks for the story's & great play.
Hi, Iona! Delightful to hear your efforts for "chasing the red." Don't know where you're from in Scotland, but the McKinneys were from Glascow. They were merchants back in the 18th century and my 4 great grandfather came to American right before the Revolution. Since he wanted to fit in and hated the British he dropped the Mcand became Just Jesse Kinney.. He was too busy fighting and complaining about the British and develping his large family in Jersey Territory just outside of New York to play golf. And they kept that going all the way down to me. So, I took up golf late in life, and really admire your quick and easy swing. All the best! --Dev. Kinney

What's your thoughts on stroke index? When you played that course when younger, would you change them around? Better at fade holes etc
68
Love your videos and your swing, you are great storyteller as well.
Can i get one of “on the road with Iona” balls?
I think you will shoot 67. Would love one of those awesome golf balls too. 🙂
I guessed 2 under....
I could listen and watch Iona all day, what a series 😮
Iona's ridiculously talented. My new favourite golf youtuber.
Literally the best on the platform. It’s not close.
From 4 handicap to +4 in 12 months. Insane
A brilliant commentator too.

Definitely my favourite you tube golfer to watch now😊
Having been a Rick follower for some time, it is so refreshing to see someone hit the fairways regularly :) You are such a talent. Love your content.
🤣🤣🤣

Hope you can keep playing and still enjoy a day out on the course
What an ambassador for the sport, keep it up Iona, its a joy to tune in.

Really enjoyable video Iona. You’re a great player. Doing Scotland proud. 🏴
Great to see you out in Wentworth and challenging the course. Your Iona ball would be great. As well, would be great to play a round in Gleneagles.
You're just such a pro and so natural in front of the camera. Absolute love your work - and your golf game! Cheers from Vancouver Island 😊✌
Great video. Some very unlucky breaks on the greens but that’s golf. I’d love one of your On The Road With Iona balls 😉

Great course. Great video.
Great YT content as ever. Loving the Chasing The Red series, Iona. If one of your OTRWI golf balls can find it’s way to Devon, that would be awesome!
You're driving has been spot on so far.
Love that Iona's competitive streak is still a mile wide and burns like the sun.
No wonder she got so good, so fast.
