Not a lot of people know this, but the dlc was written by someone from the original team. Andrew Auseon, responsible for the House of Ballads and other Fae quests in the original.
Hope he and the other three returns if THQ Nordic decides to get a sequel

Just recently bought this game after I finished it back in the day on my 360 I had no real reason to go back to it but now I felt was the time to replay this great game
Always loved it even when everyone was saying I was crazy for liking it as much as I did back then 🤷♂️😅

If a sequel were to happen. We need to be able to play ad Gnomes, Fae, Kollosae etc more races would be awesome!
I hope if there are sequels we expand to see the other continents they hinted to. I can see this being a franchise that has major legs of they give it more polish and add more stuff like Elder Scrolls did. It could he the fusion of Elder Scrolls Fabel and Dragon Age of done right.
They were going to make an MMO codenamed "Project Copernicus". In it you were able to play Kollosae, Gnomes and even Jottun.

This is very exciting... just found out the dlc dropped.. played the original and bought re-reckoning... I am hoping for a next gen KOA 2. Thanks for the info, great exit music you got there.
I liked KOA, but I felt like it had very wild difficulty swings. On the hardest difficulty at least, I could thrash most enemies, but them get obliterated by one mage, go around the corner and wipe out a horde of enemies no problem, then get destroyed by another single enemy.
Sounds more realistic
Mages are a really pain in the ass

@ SoUtH meMphiS, as most people know (atleast my friends IRL) this DLC is a "test" to see if there is enough interest from the public to warrant a amalur sequal game. I FUCKING HOPE THIS DLC SELLS SO GOOD THAT THEY INDEED GREENLIGHT AMALUR 2! its 1 of THE MOST underrated games EVER!!
it may be sacrilige but i think this is a way better game then Skyrim. skyrim's story is better sure BUT the gameplay and combat especially is 1000 times better then skyrim where u just swing a melee weapon without anything more. no tactics or strategy but just swinging around a weapon like a noob smashes buttons when playing a game. i let my girlfriend play ratchet&clank ps5 and she was just mashing buttons when combat started, even in the intro level :p :D LOL and thats how i feel the combat of skyrim is like 4 me. while amalur has a kinda exiting combat with dodging/combo's/magic ect ect...
@@japman17 🤯❗And I do agree with you. There are many older games that I'd gladly buy its new dlc. Not every game but the one that made me want more after the credits rolled. But I'm not interested if its an attempt at a cheap cash grab. Back in the day when you beat a game you probably traded it in. Now we download games and can delete them and replay at anytime. That's why I believe we'll see more devs take a chance on making dlc for specific older games. Either that, or a ton of Reboots, Remasters, and Nextgen(this gen) Remakes.🤔
But what about the new level cap? How does that change builds? I remember having a pretty nice build in my last playthrough (about a year ago) but I would kill for a few more points... plus, is this game still screwed with early level capping if you have any slight +xp gear? I also remember always avoiding that so I'd have a slower time leveling and not end up at cap by midgame.
I remember picking this up originally when KoA came out. I felt this game was kinda slept on and generally harshly reviewed at the time.
Never finished this game but now am going too! New weapons look sick

I stopped playing my first play through a few months ago I think I made it halfway through the game and now im considering returning but I mostly forgotten the story so I’ll have to start a new character lol
@ darth revan, or just watch a youtube playtrough or cutscnes video even better ;) i tend do do that to with games i stopped playing because a new game came out and i put al my time in that 1 for exampl. BTW your username is cool AS FUCK :D revan is in my top 3 favorite SW charactes ever along with darth maul ;) im so hyped for the kotor remake even though its probably gonna be 2024 before its even released. probably this E3 we get some alpha game footage if w'ere lucky!

I'm curious about difficulty. I'm level 40 with insane crafted gear 1 shotting things on the hardest difficulty now. Am I just gonna steamroll through the dlc or will I have to find some lower tier armor to enjoy it?
Did any1 find it weird that literally the last thing said to you during base game main quest, is not to tell any1 about the last boss, and then the first dude you talk to in the expansion mentions it by name? How did he hear about it?
Another way to beat the chaos health bar is to cast a spell against the foe, a little pink chaos ring forms on the ground, keep the foe in the ring and it will diminish that chaos bar
kingdom of amalur was my second fantasy rpg after dragon age, and even now i really like it and is one of my favorite games
I loved this game. Now all games have flaws. But this game was just fun really good fun. Please make another one. Take all of the first one and just expand on it. Give it better ways to farm and grind, new enemies bigger places, more spells really wished we had a classic fireball spell. Love this game

Nothing on the expansion of the skilltree, if there where any? You mentioned leveling beyond previous cap but nothing on any skill changing?
There are no skill changes. Aside from the new Chaos Sight skill, it's all the same stuff. You just get more levels to give your character more of the original spells and abilities.

I purchased KoA Re-Reckoning a couple of months ago after Fatesworn was released. Why I cannot collect more experience to progress beyond the level 40? I played the original KoA on Xbox 360 I remember progress to the additional levels once the DLCs installed without any extra requirements.
You'll pass Level 40 only when you complete the main story....once you'll defeat Tirnoch, you'll be able to visit the new area and your level will progress beyond level 40
DO NOT put any points in abilities untill you'll get the item that teaches you the new ability, the one that can let you see the Chaos Portals...you only have 10 points from level 40 to 50 and you should spend them in this new ability
@@sydney_losstarot Thank you I already realize days after this comment. I must mention the Sword of the Bolgan King the highest level greatsword of the vanilla game you get It randomly after killing enough bolgan.

In the DLC you'll get tons of Weapons much more powerfull than the Weapons you get in the Vanilla
I got a one handed sword with 335 AR.... not even the strongest greatsword reaches that AR...
@@sydney_losstarot The bloodstar sword also has a bonus of extra damage against enemies under bleeding effect and also Fatesworn add unique faeblades with extra damage against enemies under freezing damage but it doesn't have any ice damage bonus.

my biggest issue with the DLC is they made you have to finish the main story first. They should have just had a level for it. Im a person that takes my time and I cant skip past shit lmao. SO ive got like 10 - 15 hours into my current playthrough which is literally the same character that always play in this game - Might / Sorcery build. So i havent gotten to touch the DLC yet.
I would have purchased the remaster bundle if they increased the graphics
I wish I genuinely didn't hate the way the character controls (and the overall feel of it) and the UX/UI.

i slay goblins, no plans are announced for that. this dlc is AINLY a test to see if there is enough interest to greenlit a sequel game. so i hope millions of people download the dlc!!!!
@@japman17 I can tell you at least one will download the DLC if it comes to Switch.
Good to know my char gets forcibly shipped off before I agreed to marry that one character who asks about it in the priate dlc. I just agreed on the first run because my char didn't have anything better to do, but the ending of this dlc sort of makes that feel like a bad move.
so we got so powerful that the entire continent just said 'Nope! piss off to a stronger continent please! Stop bullying noobs!"
........you know when you put it like that it almost makes me not want to play the dlc now lol like our character doesn't even get a major send off from all the allies we met along the way just Agarth and Alyn (who's like "last time I left to protect you this time you must leave to protect us).

This game is amazing...I love rpgs and my fiance told me to play this and I just never did...then he buys it for me while I'm in the middle of my first playthrough of Spiderman PS4 ( another AMAZING game) I put it in and all's I have to say is that Spiderman can wait!!! In 4 hours in and this game is soooooo good...its like fable and dragon age had a baby and what a beautiful kid it is!!!! 10 out of 10 so far!

I didn't even know the DLC dropped until 2023. I replayed Re-Reckoning when it came out but gave up waiting for the DLC. There was so little advertisement for Fatesworn, I gave up waiting for it.
DLC was alright, but the Chaos dungeons were a slog. They're way too long and I ended up just running to the end of each one. Cutscenes were terrible and felt incomplete, but that's okay since they weren't done by the original team. Props for them getting the OG voice actors almost a decade after the original release.

Nope. Just extra levels, some new equipment and a story that's not that great either. Plus, many retcons. These were the things he didn't mention. Doesn't take much brain power to pay attention to the base game story and dialogue, then comparing how Fatesworn just decides to completely throw that away like flipping over a table.
Was thinking of going back and playing this again since this dlc landed. Not sure it's worth it.
