I always sing to this song because it reminds me that god’s always with you no matter what happens
I grew up in the Swiss Reformed Church. Surrounded by earnest and fairhfull believers I always believed in God the Father, the Son Bd the Holy Spirit. Our Hymn book had Hymns fir every high feast: Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Ascencion, the Day of Repentance and Prayer and Advent and New Year. It had hanksgiving Hymns and Hymns of praise and worship.
It had Hymns for Baptism and Funeral, Hymns to comfort and strengthen God's anxious and sick children. It had Hymns for the Morning and Hymns for the night!!
This song for the night touches my heart and my soul! I so miss English songs for the beginning of each day to give thanks for a good night and give encouragement for the day ahead..
And songs for the night prayer..thanksgiving for the day
and for God's protection fir the night..

Keep In mind Jesus is speaking to his disciples here. But nevertheless, I believe that those of us who follow Christ can confidently say that we are friends to Jesus, and more importantly, we can say that he calls us his friends. He loved us so much that He would choose to lay down his life for us. I would encourage you to start reading or keep reading the Bible, because the scriptures point to Jesus. If you seek him out, you will find him and feel the love of the greatest friend who you could ever have by far. I pray that you get a better grasp of what the love that Jesus has for you, and the Father, and the Spirit.
Friend, I want to encourage you also to find a Bible believing church. I would love to do a Bible study with you friend.
Talk to God you are not alone!

In our crazy mixed up world we need more songs like this! Centered on Christ, spiritually rich and simple enough for the church to sing. Thank you Cityalight! Something Johnny Robinson said last week's worship conference was really powerful to me. He mentioned they have received flack on being too simple. However he said we want the older grandma and young child to be able to play and remember these songs.

Jesus Strong and kind literally changed my life.... it touched me so deep that I cry every time I listen to it ... and I would have listened to it a 1000 times or more.... Praise God for your music .... please do continue this blessed ministry.... simplistic songs with amazing lyrics... songs that speak to our soul and helps us worship meaningfully without much distractions.... BTW loved the orchestra...
My three year old loves Jesus Strong and Kind. It is the first song he memorized. He's even learning to speak through it. I'm so grateful for CityAlight's music. It is bringing the focus on God back to worship.

Same here! I would have listened to it a 1000 times. While I sing and listen feel God completed everything. Well, a lot of things happened to me the past last two years, also providing me a good time to grief, to cry, to trust in God again while listening to the song.

Being unvaccinated in NB Canada has been rough. Our church doesn’t even sing anymore because of government mandates and no one is allowed to talk to each other after the service as we are instructed to leave immediately and not to congregate. Can’t even sit beside someone who isn’t in your direct household. There is absolutely no fellowship or praising being done at all. I feel the road is only going to get tougher from here with mass injustice and unrighteousness and persecution starting to mount globally for the church. Seeing this and people freely worshipping the Lord as a church is what I’m starving for right now. This is reminded me that the Lord is with me. always no matter how dark it gets. It’s sad my own church has decided to follow the mandates and muzzle everybody instead of offering our praises to the God of our salvation as a body o believers. I’m brought to tears watching this.
Praying for our brothers and sisters in Canada. My pastor is Canadian and he now sees why conservative Americans value and fight for freedom at every corner. Each slice of freedom we lose creeps into our freedom of religion and to practice it.

Praying all congregations of Christ's true body will stand firmly for the higher calling of praising our heavenly Father as we fellowship together in His grace.
@@christinehunt625 I’ve since found a new church and body of believers that put their duty to God before duty of Government. They never stopped praising God throughout the Pandemic and never shut down. God had plans for me even throughout the chaos. That being said, worship in NB is back to normal for now since they lifted the emergency orders. I just wish our elected officials were held accountable for violating our constitutional religious rights. More christians need to stand firm against tyranny and evil.

This night a month ago I stood beside my mother's bedside and watched as she walked through the night - into glory with her Father. Her prayer when she was diagnosed was that she would walk the journey with grace - and she did. God is real and He walked beside her and us through that journey. Her race is run and her journey is done. Now we walk here for a little while longer through the day but He will be with me when I walk that road through the night. See you in glory, Mum.

Texans have discovered your original work. I noticed this and some other songs you have make great children's songs. They are favorites of our older members as well. I hate it that your country as well as Canada has gone so crazy on the covid mandates. I believe most government action is having a overall negative effect on their citizens.
And the lockdowns aren't even working. Cali has had just as high numbers as us (Texas) and Florida, and they've been shut down, we've been opened this whole time.
