I’m watching this episode and sobbing intermittently because this hits me so hard. I relate so strongly to the struggle of reading my Bible but I want so badly to have a stronger relationship with Christ
I understand that too I've grown up a Christian and going to church and I'm an adult now and i still struggle reading the bible don't feel discouraged and tear yourself down because you think your the only one who struggles reading the bible because your not alone i definitely understand me too.

I too want a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ, but struggle with reading/studying the Bible. This is the first time I've heard of the Bible Recap........I'll be ordering her book and following her podcast from here on out though!!!

Yes the bible is active and alive, i was sobbing and this hit me home. I love the bible recap! This conversation gave me the reason and confidence to share who God is and that knowing Him through reading the bible is the key. My pastor asked me to do a testimony on our church anniversary and God just let me to this video. Praise God!!!

I ask for prayers please, Me and my babies dad just barely both turned 18 we have a 1 and half year old baby boy and a 6 month baby girl. We’ve both been going to church every Sunday now for a couple weeks so we’re both making an effort with God. His name is Alex I pray that God will help heal his mind of all negative thinking I just don’t understand sometimes we’re ok and then moments after he’ll be reminded of something that he thought wrong of in the past and just get so upset and not wanna be with me anymore and I just feel like that’s the devil in his head because he knows that God is gonna do something amazing through us and so that’s why I believe he’s been fighting our relationship ever since we first got together. I’ve always believed in God and I am a lot further on my journey than him but I have faith that we will both be walking the best with God and truly be happy together with our babies one day. We both come from our parents not being together and it hurts me so much to think that our babies will have that as well which is why I fight so hard to help us continually praying for him and us. I ask God to help him think correctly about me and soften his heart towards me and to be able to be more patient with me and our babies and just the best dad to them. I ask God to protect him at all times and to help heal him of his past and to just let his past go completely to be able to just be happy with our babies. I ask God for guidance on my future, I really enjoy so much taking care of babies I was actually thinking of maybe starting a RUclips channel just to share being a mommy and growing closer to Christ. I just love God so much and I have so much faith in him please pray for me and my babies dad and our relationship. Thank you
Praying for you and your family. John 10:10 tells us “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” If we give the enemy a foothold, he will run with it. My unsolicited advice would be to keep encouraging him and yourself to give those negative thoughts and hurts and hardships over to the Lord, and let Him take over. I have found that when I surrender any anxiety or negativity over, God grants me a peace to keep pressing on. Psalm 18:30 says “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” Our God loves us so much, that He sent His Son to die in our place. And when He pushed up on His nail-pierced feet and said “It is finished” it counted for you and for me. All of our past, present, and future sins were crucified with Him! How amazing is our God that He would love us so much to do something like that for us?! Keep encouraging one another to remain faithful to the Lord because His plans are always bigger than anything we could ever imagine. Tara Leigh, you are such a wonderful inspiration! I first saw you on the Candace Cameron podcast and when you started talkimg the Bible Recap and i saw your passion for it. It made me stop in my tracks. I was never encouraged to read my bible... it was always something i thought only pastors or scholars or really smart people, not everyday people like me. But hearing your story and how youre so relateable and it just changed my whole worldview. I was like oh wow, lil old me can [and should] read the bible?? And hubby and i started the bible recap the next week... and its been so awesome and freeing ever since!

I started reading Bible 2 weeks ago. Slowly getting through the Old Testament. Recently I bought a book to help me read the Bible through the year with some comments on some chapters. I have that Bible since my first communion in 2002 [ catholic] and I opened it maybe twice. Since late March this year I reopned my heart to faith and Him and I want to commit and make through whole bible while reading other gospels in between and do Bible Journaling. My main Bible is in Polish [native language] but I recently got one in English Since I listen to podcasts like this one or other people gospel so its easy to navigate in that unless the translation is very similar to Polish one that I know when translating in my head ;) thank you for this episode!😊

6:21 WHOA! I always thought it was because I was just being curious about the word. But hearing you say that the underlying reason for trying to dig deeper is because you didn’t want to revisit it later. And now that I think about it, it can be the same reason for me too.
Love this video. Personally I never struggled with reading the Bible. I read the whole Bible by the time I was 12-13.
That’s impressive. Maybe you should start a podcast to teach all of us who do struggle to understand some parts of the Bible.

As a professional interviewer, it is generally considered best practice to prioritize the guest's perspective and experiences during interviews, allowing them to be the primary focus of the discussion.

Im on my second trip through the Bible recap, and so far it has only made me hate God, who He is, how He operates, etc. If you are one God favors then I can see how it would be different, or if you had any desire for eternal life and could look forward to an eternity with your creator. But for someone who God had nothing good in store for them, how could you ever look forward to being forced to spend eternity with your horrible Father who has only hurt and disappointed by not being who He says He will be or doing what He says He will in the Bible. It’s not freeing to know all the horrible things God has in store for me and just how much He doesn’t care about how much He hurts me as long as He can get me to do what He wants
Hey!! I recommend seeing her testimony how she said that when she first read the whole Bible she didnt like God and was really struggling inside. Its on the Allie podcast. Just write Allie Becky and Tara leigh podcast. Also, I can see you are going through dossapoitments in your life - especially with God. I know the feeling, because Ive been through it. What helped me though, is finding a trust-worthy christian councelor or christian therapist to walk you through this. Read also C.S. Lewis book on grief observed - when his wife died to cancer and he was writing journal where he expressed anger and dissapoitment towards God. Anyways, I dont know what is the problem you are facing and what kind of hurt, but you are not hopeless.

I lost a lot of respect for this family when they started exploiting God to make money. If there's a religious influencer out there being followed, and their life purpose is to "serve the lord", and they're making millions of dollars off of that, you know it's bullshit right?
I am currently going through The Bible Recap One-Year Guide book and it’s been a game changer for me! I would try to read the Bible and be so confused with what I just read. Her book has been so helpful to me to have alongside my Bible for daily reading. Loved this podcast episode! So happy you finally had her on!

Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you, He will help you! Also start with the book of Ruth. Great story! Then read 1 John. It’s even shorter than Ruth. Find the shortest chapters of the Bible and start there. As you read, ask God to guide you. He is faithful friend!!! ❤

I had my son in February and that’s also around the time I discovered the Bible recap. I’ve been following along while listening to the audiobook Bible while I nurse my baby. So now I kinda look forward to the 3am feedings cuz that means I get to check off another days worth of readings.

this rlly encouraged me, i have tried to read the bible cover to cover so many times but give up in like Deuteronomy or chronicles, i think i rlly needed someone to hold me accountable, bc i challenged all my friends to read it with me and i think i can do it this time! having friends do it with u makes it a lot easier
