People say that they use social media because is free but we don´t realize that they're not free. We are paying a huge price , we are paying with our time and time is an asset that once is gone is gone forever. In other words, we are wasting our lives.
I completely agree with the points you mentioned especially how it’s not real like it’s some fantasy world. I feel like social media is just there to distract you from your goals and visions in life. It is there to prevent you from succeeding because it wants you to focus on everyone else but yourself.
exactly. yes! I feel like IG is the main culprit. since most people use it to show their lives. we are constantly bombarded with pictures of your friends highlights, and we compare ourselves most of the time

It was a huge relief for me to leave social media finally and yes it changed my life! I am truly happy with who I am now and I get to decide what I feed my mind instead of being bombarded with images of naked perfect women who don't even look like themselves online and be insecure about them. I enjoy me now, my beauty, my natural beauty without filters or an app deciding for me how I should look. Wow it's so liberating.

The best thing I ever did was to delete the app off my phone. I get better sleep and I'm not missing out on anything. I only use social media to promote my music and that's it. I rather ask for phone numbers instead of social media cause I value genuine connections

2:00 i actually relate to this i was on facebook last year (that was me going there after 2 years) i started looking for people i went to high school with i saw the people who where not smarter than me have settled down have kids good jobs and seen to have a good life . I broke down so bad bcz nothing in my life was going well i felt worthless and questioned my whole existence and felt worthless. So 2 months ago i realised i have depression and anxiety i deleted instagram and facebook. I miss nothing ang i realised all those 3k friends i had on facebook non of them exist in my life .
I was always comparing myself to other people that seemed to have all the good stuff. They talk about their kids, promotions, going on vacations, yadda yadda yadda. I'm lucky if I can even afford to go anywhere special. The memes, political posts, and bragging/gossiping has grown super old. Next month I'm planning to just give up FB for a month.

There is also sooo much plastic surgery nowadays. I’ve seen girls I knew in high school who look like a copy of Kim K. It’s insane. They also pretend to have her lifestyle as well lol.
The only Social Media I ever had was Facebook but that was a very long time ago of course way back then I only used my account to play some of the games but lost interest in it after they discontinued them nowadays I can barely remember what having a Facebook is like anymore since I got rid of mine almost 11 years ago.😅

I feel people useing social media is seeking some type of attention and validation .2.i feel people also lack confidence .because ur putting ur busy out there 4 the world to see.there are pros/ cons u don't need validation or social media to build ur confidence .if u have confidence in ur self there nothing u can't accomplish .wat does it matter wat u think wat people think or say about uu.
