    I am a mom of 3 that was raised to be perfectionist, was shamed when something I did didnt have the result my mom expected, always told my way of thinking was weird or wrong because I was young and didnt know of life...also was told my feelings were not important..so it made me a very shy, naive and lack of self esteem...I decided at some point in my life to be myself andj take the courage to do things I nevere dared to do before...also living far away from home...looking for an apartmend and a job...and little by little I gained confidence...I made lots of mistakes..never confide in my parents..but in some friends..and I started to enjoy being myself with what I had...my kids are 10, 6 and 3 and I try to be aware not to repeat this pattern...but when Im tired..or with worries...I say or do things that I know I shouldn...but later I hug my kids and I tell them Im sorry...parenting is THE MOST DIFFICULT JOB IN THE WORLD>>> Greetings from Monterrye, MEXICO

    Many blessings to you and your family from mine, I'm a single mom of a 3 years old it's been pretty hard because I am alone and I can feel the pressure every single day. I wake up every day with the fear that I am not good enough, and to often I feel overwhelmed but I found your videos and for the first time in years I woke up happy, relaxed I don't feel alone in this anymore. I used to get the dreaded threat of "if you don't stop crying, I'll give you something to cry about!" followed a few years later by "why do ytou find it so hard to express your feelings?"
    Also - can you imagine if someone was threatening to jump out of a window and someone tried to talk them back in by yelling "Get back in here now, or I'll give you something to jump for!"

    i think we are doing this good so far... (most because of your teaching 😊) but sometimes i don't know if it is a real feeling/crying or if he just want to get something (how you told in your last video). Most of the time it's clear for me, but sometimes i don't know. And i don't want to allow bad behavior but more important i don't wanna ignore his feelings

      Carola Grunenberg, sometimes it is hard to tell. Hopefully you can learn to "read" him.

    • @NivionScribble
      @NivionScribble 4 года назад

      @Carola What helps me to find out what kind of cry it is, is to help phrase the feeling. If my daughter (25 months) just cries to get her way it becomes pretty clear because she is frustrated but not sad. She is angry instead. If I really can't find out I just ask if she cried on purpose. To which she truthfully replies every time. ☺️ It occurs far less since I get to her eye level for communication and repeat her wishes (or orders) and then answer.

    • @sally8657

      Crying is healing. Sometimes children ask for the impossible so they get a chance to cry and heal from past disappointment. Very difficult for a stressed out parents to deal with.

    I would like you to make a video explaining how to help a person who wants to put situations and people in the right place all the time.

    Today I had a "pants" talk with my 6 year old, using the NSPCC pantosaurus book, as I have done before. I reaffirmed to him that if anybody ever tried to do anything that made him uncomfortable or asked him to keep a secret then he must tell someone he trusts, mummy, daddy and even his teacher... to which he looked at me with confusion and said, "But I thought were not allowed to tell? every time I go to tell teacher if something has happened she says go away , don't be a tattle tail !!!"
    Grrrr I'm so cross that teachers do this. I'm cycle breaking over here and putting in a lot of work, to know that I'm them sending him into school where the next biggest influence on him says things like that !!!

    • @LiveOnPurposeTV
      @LiveOnPurposeTV  3 года назад +1

      Stephiroth88, I get both sides. Teachers would listen if a student told them about abuse. The message the teachers are trying to get across is to try to figure out the problem, the way it is being done is not helpful. I can see both sides. Your child has you his parents to talk to and you will be able to help them.

      Grace Kelly, unfortunately you can't change the ex or his behavior. Be sure your daughter know you love her no matter what and even if. Be there for her to talk to and she will understand what is happening as she matures.

    I have a two year old son, I love him with all my heart, but he yells and growls and runs around like no one is listening to him. I don't know what to do any ideas.... Ps. I can't afford your program but I do need help.

      DominusMouse357, check with your local school to see if they have any early childhood educational programs.

      Shady Character, usually there is something behind them. Sometimes it isn't events, but could be chemical reactions. Be careful if you are thinking of other people, it may not be visible why they have certain feelings.

    I believe we're wrong about understanding children. Often people bully their kids quite frequently. We discredit their knowledge and intelligence.

      I just got three diplomas that none of my parents believed I'd ever get. I got certified years ago working nonprofessionally and professionally around children.

    Mistakes are bad that’s me. But learning what work ethic employers are expecting you to get it at 100% or more, the first time, and with good attitude (not frustration about the task). And in my mind mistakes will send you to jail.

      Christina B., most of the mistakes we make in learning won't lead us to jail. It would be nice if we could give one another more grace.

    My son hates mistakes, and were having a hard time teaching him they arent bad, they are just a learning opportunity. He gets frustrated and his little 4yr old brain cranks up, the waterworks start and he says things like "I cant do anything!". Its been hard trying to get him to deal with that frustration.

      Casey Wilson, wait until he is calm and then talk about a specific incident and show him that everything worked out and act out a proper response if he is frustrated.
