    Glad this didnt take too long from initial start up last week to dyno tuning now with just under 100km on the odometer. Engine responded well on tuning and showed excellent results check it out!
    The factory spec OEM rings and pistons did well and as noticed in the series all oem style daido/taiho bearings and Viton valve seals are used.

    Fun fact Skunk2 Tuner 1’s are equivalent to CTR cams just have more lift at .050 also are drop in no springs required, For half the cost of new CTR cams ($USD) expect 2-5whp peak & 5-8whp mid range gains over ctr cams depending on fuel, elevation and tuning. Just my .02

    Good power of the engine! But the Tuner should fix the AFR Curve. Its not straight horizontal like a line.

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  8 месяцев назад +3

      4.5k-5k is harmonics by the intake length no matter what u do… run a regular intake it becomes “fine”
      the rest… straight line doesn’t always carry power longer (won’t get into details as this isn’t a tuning lesson)
      But I hear what u saying

    • @EJ2BSeries
      @EJ2BSeries 8 месяцев назад +1

      From 5.3k- 6.3k its terrible. Im Tuner and all my friends have no waves in the afr curve. It doesnt matter if all motor b18,k20 or b18,k20 turbo all cars doesnt have waves on the diagramm. And im using all time knock ears if the engine is knocking. That is very important at high CR.

    Imagine, back in the day, they didn't believe that a B16A would be able to produce 180+ whp, especially with 96-spec ITR cams. It goes to show that factory engineers knew what they were doing.
    Also, goes to show that with the right combination of factory parts and proper tuning, like you did, a potent power unit can be built.

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  8 месяцев назад +3

      Now that you mention it ? that’s one of the reasons I’m still stoked with the numbers cuz since then til now we all knew 96spec ITR is just a shade bigger than a b16a2 EG cam or near identical to stock GSR cams…
      I think one thing that indirectly or unintentionally helped is the improved ported intake made the (bigger) header for the displacement work… hence the extended peak rpm range

    • @findtherightbeat
      @findtherightbeat 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@SRDmotorsports Back then some would also doubt the B16A builds on Jun3s that produced 190 whp, but this is proof that on very mild cams a figure close to that is achievable. 😉

Because we can always run a bigger cam from skunk2 crower toda TBmotorwerx and Webcam with the right valvetrain to give us the good “fill” on the valve.
