  • Completing a drum to disc brake conversion is a relatively simple process and should be accented with control arm upgrades. The process is the same whether it's this 1967 Pontiac Lemans, a 1967 Chevelle, or a 1964 F-85. To complete this job we use the Right Stuff Detailing Kit #AFXDC01C #GTO #Chevelle

Thanks! Its been a topic of debate a few times. Might as well do something different every once in a while. 🤷‍♂️

Never underestimate the holding power of a good roofing nail.

Between that and the bent eye-hooks I think they had it pretty well secure!

by installing the front disc brakes did this require a bigger tire size

They seem to clear the 15” wheels we put on there which is solid for us

@LSxHunter Did y’all install the rear brakes? From the right stuff kit and is the rear end still the 8.2 BOP and not a Chevy 12 bolt. I’m trying to do brake swap on my car but wanna buy the right stuff. Great channel.

I did not - our plan was to reuse the drums in the rear for the specific reason of being able to take all of the tension off the rear tires to get a few extra ponies on the pavement.

the same level of crusty as my 66 tempest, had to grind the rivets off the upper ball joint and beat it with a hammer, eventually using a chisel to wedge the ball joint off. Got 1/4 of the way through the brake conversion just to open the caliper box and find they had sent me rear calipers, the bolt spacing was too narrow to fit the front bracket... 3 weeks later my replacement calipers showed up, ya'll don't buy from speedway motors if you can help it, getting a return is almost impossible, bite the bullet and pay that $100 more at another vendor. I'm replacing ball joints, control arm bushings, and doing a front 11" disc brake conversion on the old gal.
