Amazing work and cleaning lead free solder made easy with wick and special way of reballing pads prior to wick removal. Circle motion, speed and lots of flux, three key ingredients to avoid bridges and left over lead solder. Thanks Ari
Was about to ask about surface tablets as I bought one for wife she needed something portable for work and it was a great deal I should have looked up the repairability if these as it near impossible to fix or change out parts.

Amazing video. Second, I have a question, more of a curiosity. I paid 15 usd for the battery replacement on an A5(2016) sm-a510f, but I had to provide my own component. Was that ok for the repair guy to ask? Ofc I didn't find oem and after a year it is trashed enough that it needs to stay plugged in. If you were my reppair guy what would you do and how much would you charge? Thanks.

We’re always paying more for our gadgets and they still breaking for no reason very easy. The lifetime on gadgets nowadays are very short comparing like on the old days.
They do it on purpose so you keep buying them :) lifespan on an electronic this days in average is 3 years

Chip had a burn mark on it. Why would i waste time testing if I can change it in 2 minutes. People need to start thinking different when doing repairs.
@@NorthridgeFix it was my fault that,i didnt want to mention about that chip. Sometimes , the wifi chip looks fine,but needs to change.

It’s absolutely possible, but they’re a nightmare to work on at any capacity. They’re all internally glued together.
Surface pro screen removal is hell!

A wise man: Surface Pro 4 = No. Screen will almost always crack. I tell my customers to be prepared for that cost, or bring it to Microsoft. In most cases it is a hard no from them, and they go home and use it as a desk connected to the wire.
