“Honestly, I opened it up and it just happened” never laughed so hard in my life 😂😂😂
yeah his eyes got a laser beam and his hand's sweat with soldering tips
Sound to me like they bought a broken PS5 that "Just need the HDMI port replaced, mint otherwise" thinking it would be an easy swap and discovered that mess upon opening it.
@@fullraph nah. chances are, the PS5 only needed a new HDMI port but this guy attempted to replace it himself and caused this abomination by himself; which lead to him sending it off to Northridge Fix
😂🙈😉
Hahahahjaaj
This makes my first HDMI attempt look like a better than factory job
I like how the customer tried the appeal to emotions with the "Christmas present for my son" comment. I am guessing they didn't take the conclusion of this very well lol.
This is.... this is incredible. This needs to be in a museum of modern art. This master piece of a repair has truly moved me. This truly deserves to be alongside the Mona Lisa for future generations to enjoy and marvel.
“Horrific repair attempt” I haven’t started the video yet and I already know it’s going to be good.
Every time I watch a video of yours I feel like a winner. Your humanity pulsates through your videos. Thank you for sharing and thank you for being a decent human being.
How is that being a decent human being?
@@terminationshock1356paid for bot comments
Should also give that "piece of art" picture as a Christmas present.
Did not expect this video to head down the path of self discovery, but by far my favorite set of videos that's come out in awhile!
Great job, Northridge Fix!
I believe he was giving himself a challenge let's see if I can do this with my eyes closed
Yeah it's like LOOK MOM NO HANDS and then it ends up in the local news
Yes and with oxy-acetylene !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure everyone else who watches, notices the satisfaction you get from a successful repair.. It shows. You're doing what you love and we can see it. You feel it. It's great to see. That's living.
Can we have a "Best of prior repair attempts" in the future? This will probably be first place :D
I volunteer to put in my own first personal repair attempt 😂🤣
Agree
Going along with what you said in the video, I'm 13 years old and turning fourteen in two months. I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now and already feel smarter. I've built two computers, replaced my PS3 disc drive and re-thermal pasted the GPU inside of it. My parents didn't get me into this, i got myself into this. With just s little bit if motivation you can learn and do anything.
another 13yrs olds kids try to destroy motherboards like this :)
@@MrDeadrage ahh gotta start somewhere
That's when the term "ABSTRACT ART" was devised....
THIS!
Your such an awesome guy Alex! The small advice you give, the way you run your business, taking Big Master under your wing , I could keep going! I became interested in micro soldering because of watching your channel. I actually fixed a broken joy con with ripped off traces and had to solder jumper wires to the button switch. It came out good and made it as neat as I could. I can see all your experience when you do a job because you make it look easy. I also want to say that ordering from your shop was a great experience. I placed my order and it was shipped out that afternoon, I was really impressed and more places should follow your lead. Thank you for your inspiration and all the hard work you and your family put into this. I’ll see you in the next video!!
People keep finding new ways to destroy their ps5 🤷🏻
That's some "Piece of art" is a beauty and joy for ever it should belong in a museum.
I wanted to have the same career as with you. It is highly in demand in our country. Little by little I am gaining knowledge. Thanks a lot sir! God bless you and your family ♥
Its in hight demend everywere.
You are awesome man :D Talking about life and giving away money. I can tell that you are a really good person at heart and that's what kept me watching your video. I love it when you are happy at the and of a good repair
One thing I would like to add for Big Master, "Study and study well, be a person to whom success will follow". best wishes for your future. Stay blessed.
"Hold on to your chairs" was a nice warning. I nearly fell off mine.
I really wanted to get into electronics engineering back when I was 6 years.... I really love your videos... They remind me of my childhood... I learned alot by tinkering with whatever I could find...
Keep being an inspiration to the world..
My dad had a radio and tv repair in the 1950's. I asked for wire and a diode to build a "crystal radio". He had me sweep up the solder blobs from his floor and said, "Make something from that!" I became an electronics technician in the Navy for10 years in spite of his lack of encouragement. If some little kid shows an interest in what I am doing, I stop and encourage his curiosity.
Thank you so much Alex and all the team
i'll send you my coordinates along with a thank you video in the next 2 days
Thank you so much again
I've really learnt a lot from your channel.God bless you with more wisdom
Amazing speech at the end. I am glad to hear that you are a good father, good worker and you spend your time on things that really matters. Thank you for your encouragement.
I suggest to add the phrase “Hiroshima Bomb” on a t-shirt with that HDMI connecter. Or a new phrase (piece of art). 😂😂😂
Hold on to my chair? I took the chair with me when I stood up in disbelief! Poor console :(
I wanted to see what happens after you wicked up that mess. It would have been amazing if you managed to fix that one.
Your life's philosophy is bang on target in my opinion.
Big Master will most definably end up doing something he loves doing, Right now he is interested in your passion for electronics.
I hope he will learn the same passion.
It would have been a super-interesting fix, if at all possible :(
it would cost time and money
Hi, it’s so nice to listening to your talk about respecting other. And learning that too your kids.
3:31 that's one heck of a battle there
I appreciate those who can put themselves in the shoes of others and empathize and so, I appreciate you for this.
Disaster tourists liked this.
Took the name 'PlayStation' to a whole new level!
That is exactly tue way you learn how to do it. I would have chosen something cheaper to practice, but we have to practice a lot. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Cheers from Mexico City...
I’m curious how big boss knows what and where things go. Would love a video on how he tears down electronics.
I rarely remember all the screws and where they go. I use a map to replace all of them. Assembly an iPhone is pain to me. But, seems like Big Boss already have everything in his head
I am a biomedical engineer. I saw every videos of you and learning from that videos. That helps a lot. And now i am setting up my working station like you with some changes. Thank u so much and god bless ❤️❤️
Gonna need a pacemaker after seeing this...
3:42 it looks like he rearranged every element in the periodic table and said “fuck it here’s a new one”
Mohsen Tabouna congrats mate.
"A piece of art" 😂
Thank's for giving something to your viewers. I like the way you treat.
شكرا
"Give it back to my son" 😂. Sure man. You even have a son? Mostly they use "a friend of mine".
I honestly thought you were going to give it a go for a second there! I quickly checked the red bar timeline and saw how much time was left on the video and instantly knew... IT'S GOING BACK!!! LOL
When i see stuff like that, i feel like a beginner😂😂😂
In my country ALGERIA every day I live in the same situation. Repair business need a lot of positive energy. Honestly this is the best RUclips channel. Better than factory.😍😍😍
Holy moly, that was the mother of all bombs.
🤣😂 jeeeesus christ, I literally just fell to the ground paralyzed laughing like crazy very moment when the letter from the customer started, this is top level
"What are screws between friends" LOL touche hahaha
Hahaha 😁
Your sense of humor is just what I love my friend! God bless you! Happy to holidays
Even worser than the older , PS4 nightmare.
To be fair, you have to admire the customer's optimism for attempting a repair in the dark.
It should belong in a book by H.P. Lovecraft.
Your words about people have much wisdom. People should hear your words there is truth and insight Thank you
Are you not a bit overreacting, the board looks fine to me🤣😉
He's got so much work .
he just wants the easy stuff so he charges $50 just to open it up and ship it back ... or he's telling us he's not that good...
. it would be interesting to actually watch somebody repair something that I f***** up ..
so there's probably other RUclipsrs that repair these masses and are very good at it.
I'm just wondering who they are..who can fix this?? Who is that Good?
@@jacenkun2931 i Fixed the same issue so many times, I don't know why he didn't give a shot ... Maybe because of time
@@jacenkun2931 it was your board?
@@goku445 lol no..just wanted to see something in a mess and fixed...easy fixes is Boring...Not interesting...to me now..
@@jacenkun2931 it's because he's got a lot of repairs to do. If everything was this difficult, then he wouldn't get things done. I'm sure if the queue wasn't so big, he would have tried. But because their backlog is massive it makes sense to not attempt it.
I get satisfaction from watching this videos, your words are gold, greeting from morocco
You could at least tried to repair the HDMI port Northridge!!
When you have many years of experience, you make judgement calls of what is worth your time for the money and what is not. I am sure if business was very slow and Alex had nothing else to do, he may have given it a shot. However I don't have a clue how he keeps up working by himself as the only micro solderer there with all the equipment they get in.
@@KindOfHero Did you see the condition of the board? Why would you even try to fix it when the odds of success are probably less that 5%.
I just talked with a colleague, his father was an in electronics repair, he told me how he was amazed seeing him fix radio and CRT television. Now he's an electronics engineer, and very good at his job.
Title for the piece of art: Customer states he tried to fix it but it still doesn’t work and they don’t know why.
great message my friend, best regards from Dominican Republic.
J'aime bien la façon dont vous abordez les difficultés de la vie des gens. I like the way you approach the difficulties in people's lives.
Salute sir! We learn about repair on electronics and we learn how to be a good person thankyou sir! We loveyou here frome Philipines🇵🇭
Hi Northridge fix I am not a subscriber but an ardent follower and daily viewer of your channel,
I really love❤️ your work and the dedication you put in it, congratulations and keep it up!
I am a Kenyan but currently working in Qatar and honestly since the day I stumbled upon your video it's is now like my daily dose coz of your phrases and humorous comments I love them 👍,
Lastly this issue of right to repair I would like to hear your thoughts on it please
Thanks for the tutorial videos
man you're the best !!! northridge fix is the icon of electronic repair
The title is an understatement omg what does he expect you to do with this omg lol
I also work on computer repairs in ethiopia im an electrical engineering graduate but i learned a lot from you for my business than from school. Thank you very much and much respect for you🙏✌️
I love when you talk about important things about life. You are the greatest!
Oh yes you are right. Big master will have a big future if he is allready interested in fixing electronic stuff. Better he start to learn now, than in 5 or more years.
It is a very good feeling to have a young familymember who is interested in electronics.
I also did as a kid, since i was 7 years. I always had to disassembly electronic stuff, carefully looked at it and assembled it again.
Now i am interested in all electronic stuff, doesnt matter if its a smartphone, tv, radio, networkstuff or a computer. Also i am interested in software too. I will always know how things work, whats inside and why. I think this is also very important.
Greets from austria and thanks for the video
This was really emotional. Good learning points right there. Thank you!
Why would someone think for one second this can be fixed? WOW!
I also took a screenshot of that jangle 😄 So i am also fixing some devices as a hobbie for friends but i would never ever do that mess .. if i don't have the proper equipment or the skills to do it i don't do it ... And of course we can always sharp our skills on dead boards ! Not on a 1000$ console !
I am watching all your videos and you have helped me a lot to learn new techniques ! Thanks 👍🏻
Greetings from Greece !
Your comment regarding kids an education received 10 stars from me.Greetings from Romania
With $45 he purchased a message: "do not try this again" (assuming it was customer's fault). Amazing! :D Anfd such a nice message at the end, thank you!
You are a dying breed and I know this mite sound corny but you are doing gods work my friend!! Most people cannot do what you do, and it’s a blessing that you are here showing us and educating us.
man, this is a wreck. i'm glad you didn't even waste your time attempting to repair it. that manipulative customer doesn't deserve your time of day. he obviously attempted to replace a broken HDMI port and absolutely failed at it and now he's acting like he opened the console in that condition
I have the screenshot of the desktop background hdmi connector that says "ps5, don't mistreat her, she never would."
My face was quite literally just 😮 for a solid 10 seconds pausing at the mess of a soldering job that was done
Goood day sir , I hope wall is well yea it’s about our kids future and I know this can be very hard on us tech we might not work as hard as you do but must always find time for your kids I’ve been following you for about 4 years now and I’ve seen your kids grow ! I also have three yea they’re big but two out of the three have autism my gay starts at 5am and I get home at 6pm have dinner and then I spend about 2 hours with both and then by 10pm they go to bed ! Thank you 🙏 for all you hard work
There’s shit soldering and then there’s this majestic work of Vincent Van Gohg. Such artistic vision
Big Master will have a bright future! Wish you and your family all the best, thanks for the videos and your patience to teach us!
Thanks to make this vedio, so people will not try to be over smart and take help of proper service experts...
Thank you for your concern!!
😱😱😱😫 That is a real problem and it has no name, excellent channel and greetings from Mexico
Surely he damaged this board on purpose, as a joke. No way he went this far and though he was doing a good job. There is multiple damage on multiple areas of the board. It would have stopped working due to any one of minimum 4 areas. No way he turned it on and it “was fine for 30 seconds.” Maybe the first time. Then he proceeded to damage the board in 3 additional areas.
I got gosebumps after seeing the HDMI port
I like how you create video. I always enjoy watching and learning something new
Real piece of art, I can't believe what I see.
"Prior repair attempt" on a whole nother level 😳😳
100% spot on brother about kids !!
Brother you have such a big heart from the way tou think and talk to the teach you give us. I always watch your videos no matter where i am. Thank you brother and keep going we are here. Anytime 🙂
Love the new shirt keep up the great work man!
Love your way to see life... i see it the same way! :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Best wishes.
Hahaha,
1- “What’s a few screws between friends?” Brilliant, walla bidda7ek
2- The port looks like the beard of that captain in pirates of the Caribbean
3- Bravo Big Master! I hope you have fun all your life and learn a lot.
God bless & thx for the vid
My OCD really wants to see you clean that mess up and have a go at putting it right!! I couldn't just send it back to the customer!!
'What are screws between friends'
That had me in stitches 🤣
My PS5 is also at RMA. They called me and confirmed the problem and I was notified my console will be replaced alltogether.
There’s some time and effort gone into that repair attempt. Clearly the creator has patience and some soldering skills. Best of luck to them. 👍 from me! 🇬🇧
Great channel with lots of great points, thanks !
That customer ended up paying more instead of bringing console to you at first place.
So, this one is more of Tsar Bomba. OH! And once it was under the microscope, I felt that in my soul.
Assalamualaikum That PS5 HDMI port jumpers shows that person skills in soldering before working on good board just practice on old/non functional boards it's really helps
