I don't think Wardlow is anywhere close to a world title run. AEW has had 5 world champions and they have all been guys who can work a "5 star" style main event. Not monster heavyweights who squash opponents. I don't think he's the type of worker they're looking for as champ. Maybe someday, maybe a short run, but not soon.

Wardlow is a gimmick right now. He's Goldberg. He needs to develop a more interesting match style eventually. Right now the only two matches he can do are squash and get screwed by a cheating heel.
