- The Potomac River was good to me again and I found some BIG blue catfish fishing along a ledge with riprap structure. I spent most of the day working this ledge and found a bunch of good blue catfish. Thanks for watching!
Great action. Just started watching, I will definitely be back.
Hey thanks a lot! I'll be keeping the videos coming with lots of fish and big ones too!
Awesome.Gotta love it when they pull drag
Hey thanks for checking out my videos, looks like you've been watching a bunch of em lately and I appreciate it! Yeah nothing like it when they take off and don't stop, then hunker down at the boat and start ripping drag.
Nice day fishing
Looks like a fun day Cory
Thanks and it definitely was! I'm really fortunate to have a river like that within driving distance and enough money to pay for the gas to go there. That river makes me look like I know what I'm doing
As always, nice job. Thanks for sharing.
As always, thanks a lot for always watching and the comments! It really does mean a lot that there's people like you that keep coming back to my channel. I don't try to promote my stuff much or ask for subs cause I like having a core group of people that like my stuff. It's just about the fishing and sharing it with people that really enjoy it
Another great video man. Your killin em
Thanks man! Yeah I've been pretty lucky so far this late fall/early winter. Hopefully the luck keeps coming and I can keep chasing them
Awesome video. Great job.
Thanks man! Good to see your name in the comments!
You're killing me man. I'm just now pulling out of the office after a good solid 12 hour day. I'm due for a good trip, bit ill take a video of you for now lol!!
It's rough working so much I know the feeling! Hopefully you can get down there soon, they should still be biting pretty good. There's a tournament Saturday too, unfortunately I won't be able to make that but maybe you can. Good luck and I hope you get out soon!
Nice to see you back out on the water. Great day of fishing and congratulations on the Hawg.
Thanks, it feels great to be back on the water too! Glad you liked the video!

Thanks a lot and thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome man I just found you channel and I think I would love it
Hey thanks man that means a lot! I hope you do end up liking the channel, it's pretty much all catfishing with a few other fishing videos thrown in. It's just simple fishing videos nothing fancy but I'm glad you stopped by!

Great video bro ,nice catch on the tank!! 🎣💪🏽💯
Thank you! I'm glad you liked my video I'll be keeping them coming
Great video. Any chance you could do a bait challenge video? I am further up by DC and have no access to gizzard shad. I’ve been using chicken with strawberry jello powder on it based on some other videos I’ve seen. Catching a ton of smaller ones but not sure if I need to put more time in or the big ones don’t like that. Do you have any recommendations beside gizzard shad? I guess I could try and catch some bluegill maybe.
Fish both areas, and have the same issue. Down further you can use a gill net in MD for fresh bait. Have been recently going out to ponds to catch bluegill for bait the day before a catfish trip. Works better than non fresh bait, but gizzard shad is the best by far.
Thanks a lot! I've had a couple of people ask about doing a bait challenge video, I may end up doing it. But every time I use chicken I always catch a lot of small fish. I don't think I've ever caught anything large on chicken. But it does get the numbers. If you can, try catching some carp and using them for bait. There's tons of carp in that river and are pretty easy to catch. I've had some good luck with them as bait, plus you get a lot out of one fish. Might want to check the DC regs though I've never tried them in those waters. Bluegill will work- really any fresh fish will. We used a white perch one of the recent trips and they were crazy over it. The fish market there in DC probably sells those for a decent price since they're so plentiful.
Hey thanks for watching. Fresh shad is definitely my favorite bait but other fish will work too. Carp are great oily baits as well as white perch. Also I know a lot of guys on that river buy eels and use them but dang they're expensive. Just a heads up, I think you can't use gill nets in MD waters, just cast nets. Ya gotta go to VA waters and have a permit. I could be wrong but worth a look- I know how much it sucks getting fines for doing something you thought was legal. Hope you get into some big blues soon!
👍👍👍😁
Thanks a lot!!
Awesome man love the video! That was a stud! One question though I guess for the catfish industry as a whole. How come everyone is so relaxed when leaving catfish in the boat, weighing them, etc? Why is no one in a rush to get them back in the water? I know they aren’t as delicate as trout or musky or bass but anytime I get one in the boat the timer starts to get it back in the water as soon as possible. I jus feel that even though they can make it longer out of the water, the more time it is out the more chance of adverse affects? Love your content man as always
Hey man thanks for still watching my videos! I do try to get them back in the water as fast as possible unless I get into doubles or more. Those catfish, blue cats especially, are tough as nails as long as the air and water temps aren't real hot. I usually keep 2 or 3 smaller blues on those trips and usually throw them in a dry livewell. 6 hours later they are still alive and wiggling around when I get them out. I know the trophy sized ones aren't always as tough as the smaller ones but are still pretty resilient. But catfish are able to breath air as long as their gills are wet so I don't get too concerned about a few minutes out of the water in the winter. Summer cats are in the water a lot quicker. I always watch them when I release them to make sure they swim away and will chase them down if they don't. Thanks again for watching!
That was a great trip. What lb mono are you using. I love hi viz . Great video
Hey man good to hear from you again! I use 30lb mono big game. I can fit enough on my reels with that diameter and can actually break it if I get hung up without pulling myself off anchor. Hi viz helps a lot, especially at night.
Great catches great equipment you have what kind of real's are you using and will they cast far from the bank because most of my fishing will be from the bank?
Hey thanks for watching! I use BnM silver cat elite rods and piscifun chaos 60/ Abu Garcia c3 6500 reels. They’re great for the boat but you might want different setups for bank fishing. The levelwind cuts the distance they can cast
@@TheFlattyDaddies thank you this is very helpful to me
Female has the small mouths and male mouths r bigger
Thanks! For some reason I can never remember that catfish fact
