Hey everyone! In platinum I forgot that you actually won’t need strength to catch Gible. There are no boulders in the way in platinum so you can actually get Gible and Garchomp much earlier than I say in the video!
Changes i wil make on this team staraptor need queeck attack for priority evry other mive is ok i can use fly with driflblim Infernape give him grass knott for the groond type coverage over heat or flamethrower mach punch shadow claw coverage Using gastrodon ore quagsire is better than gyarados where so many enemies having electric type moves gastos moves ice beam surf earthquake sludge bomb Whoopers same Jolteon thunder bolt shadow ball hyper beam and hiden power or bite
I only need one question, why you use Gyarados instead of gastrodon, gastrodon is good for tank, and since all of the team is hitters, you need defensive
Great video. I’ve been mostly building this team. Instead of Staraptor though, I’m currently using a Crobat just from personal preference. I do have my staraptor trained up though. I’m also debating on adding togekiss to my team, but I’m having a hard time choosing.
Agree with the whole list except for gyarados and jolteon. Whenever I play I try to use only pokemon introduced in that region. So i'd use luxray/electivire and try to use one of the sinnoh watertypes (I know they suck but ah what the hell)
Another Great video!! I would give staraptor return for a normal type move STAB since you're going to be using him quite a lot in a playthrough and replace u-turn with return as well in this case. I'm not overly fond of using moves that force you to change out your current Pokemon. Also, I would replace Gyarados with either vaporeon or floatzel due to heavy bulkiness on vaporeon or use floatzel as a mixed attacker despite poor defenses. I don't like having two flyers on my teams at all. Especially if they both have intimidate. Just saying.
Great Team! My team is Infernape / Gyarados / Roserade / Garchomp / Togekiss / Luxray howeverrrr 1. Both Roserade & Togekiss need moonstone. 2. Leveling from egg-three stages is not for everyone. I like your Jolteon pick, it being around your lv25 journey (Gym3 city & connected city -> Ruins) Regarding a more "True to Gen 4" team, I did swap out Floatzel (sorry!) and I generally don't pick regional birds but I would pick those if I wanted a more casual approach that just lacks a bit lategame. At the moment I'm on my way to Distortion World and I'm around lv 40-45, I might still swap to weavile. Sneasel is so late in the game.. (around lv35 journey) but I did plan on getting him however I forgot ha! Roserade is the sp attacker in this setup, where you have Jolteon insead of Luxray. The Poison/Grass type.. well Poison is more defensive but deals with the almost non existing fairy pokemons mhh
Thanks! Hey that makes sense! I somehow thought fairy was already there but just lacking (such as Dragon type before).. Someone has to fly my ass around (in diamond, Honchkrow could also be an avg pick)
Im playing a game without a starter in Platinum and Emerald, only games I've never done it cus i like the starters so much Emerald: Breloom, Aggron, Manectric, Torkoal, Claydol, Walrein Platinum: Floatzel, Togekiss, Dusknoir, Rhyperior, Houndoom, Magnezone
Great team! I also too would honestly pick Luxray over Jolteon because of his great def & sp def. And would go with Gallade over gyarados because of his speed and Attack being slightly better & his moves as well 😅
I have Buizel instead of Magikarp. Is he a solid choice or should i change to Magikarp as im still early in the game. The moveset I planned for Floatzel is: Crunch Surf Waterfall Ice beam or Ice Punch. What do you say man?
What Gen IV Pokémon could be a proper substitute for Gyarados, and Weaville? I feel like Floatziel could tag out Gyarados, Drapion for Weaville. And is Luxray really terrible in Gen IV?
Floatzel and Drapion would work well as substitutes. Luxray isn’t horrible, there’s just other electric types that do its job better. The biggest reason I wouldn’t use Luxray is that there aren’t many physical electric moves in gen 4. Your strongest option is thunder fang
I'm going to play with a similar line up on renegade platinum with some of these Pokemon mentioned in this video. Also, as the old saying goes: spices are the variety of life. This means it's interesting to try different things. I believe this saying can be applied to the Pokemon games as well. At least the main games anyways. Anyways, how have you been doing as a youtuber here recently. I don't make videos. But I do follow my favorite youtubers such as you as frequently as I can when I am not busy.
@@johnscott5226 hello! Yes, I agree that a large variety makes things much more interesting. I’ve been doing well but haven’t been able to upload as much as I used to. I’m still trying to finish up my “best team” series with all the starters

@@OaksLab848 yeah i was thinking about adding some substitutes like Floatzel, Garchomp, Roserade . Floatzel learning ice type moves would be handy right? Btw thanks for that quick reply. I didnt expect to get a reply that quick for a 4 month old video❤️
I think you could make it work but it’s probably not optimal. It’d make the most sense to do one physical and one special. Maybe the physical ape set in the video then Lucario with Aura Sphere, Flash Cannon, and some filler moves (maybe vacuum wave). Infernape has good special sets though too if you want to go physical on Lucario instead

I think you could make it work if you really want to use Gliscor! The downsides are that Garchomp and Gliscor both don’t learn Earthquake by level up so you’d need to make a choice who to give the tm to. Also you’d have to be very careful of ice types.
I am lucky with my Luxray, he has a relatively equal special attack and physical attack. I do not know why, my research shows that he usually has at least a 20 point difference favoriting physical attacks over special. Hes level 42 and has a 101 sp attack and 96 physical. Does anyone know how i got lucky? His moveset is Thunder, Crunch, Thunder Fang and spark (yes i know spark is superior to thunder fang and i shouldnt have both)
