Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. I just bound off a small section on a stranded color work sleeve for the underarm and feel I might have messed up the very last stitch. For some reason, my brain wouldn't "read" how to tink that last stitch properly and I was thinking I would have to knit a swatch to practice on. Your video is so clear, I know PRECISELY what to do. I immediately saved this video to my "knitting rescue" playlist.
You have a gift for teaching and sharing your knowledge - thank you so much! I always have been reluctant to remove the bind off, but now, will do when necessary. Love your tips. Radha x
Thank you so much! I received some knitting needles on my 14th birthday and have just started a scarf and binded off while it was too short! The normal method is as you say SCARY! Definitely trying out the first option you showed! So clever!
You are very welcome, Shaira! I have lots of helpful videos for beginners, so I hope you subscribe. I also have a Facebook page (same name) that is filled with supportive knitters at every level and we love helping. 😊
Thank you, Suzanne! You've come to my rescue once again! I had inadvertently put buttonholes on the wrong side of my sweater and was tempted to just leave it. But I knew it would bug me even though I probably will never button it. I was dreading taking apart the bind off, but your video showed it was easy peasy! Thank you, thank you!!
Perfect timing! I ran out of yarn while binding off a shawl and need to remove the bind off and buy more yarn to complete the work! Thank you - an excellent tutorial as always!
Great video Suzanne! It’s nice to have options! I’m at the point where live stitches don’t bother me. Somehow I can get them back on the needles. But sometimes I’d prefer the safer method if there aren’t too many stitches. Thanks for sharing and showing us exactly where to pick up!
Hi Suzanne, you're a life saver. I was asked by a friend if the cast on edge could be undone. The first thing I said was if it could be undone Suzanne will have a tutorial. Thank you so much for all your video tutorials, I enjoy them so much. You are a natural teacher. 🤗
When you remove the cast on, you have to pick out one stitch at a time. Do not worry about losing stitches as they will not come undone by themselves. Then you will need to pick out each stitch individually until you are back to where you want to be. If there were increases and such along the way, it will just take a little extra persistence, but you can get them out. This is a great idea for a video, thank you, adding to my video todo list now. Happy New Year.
Thank you for your helpful videos. I wonder if you have a video showing how to undo a Too-tight BO edge but for ribbing? I know I saw a video years ago, and I thought there would be tons of videos of this by now, but I cannot find one. If you don't have one, do you know of one? Perhaps I'm not searching correctly. If I recall, it involves running a lifeline or a smaller circ through a row above the BO and then knitting down (or up?) and B'gO again...I think! Or maybe you will consider a video on it ??! I'd love to see it done. I have a hat that came out great, knitted top down, but I cannot wear it because of the BO! I'm usually not afraid to mess something up -- It's only knitting! But, I'm procrastinating on this hat I love big time, lol. Thanks!

@@SuzanneBryan A real fool-proof method. Great! Thank you

Thank you. I was doing this but hadn’t analyzed what it was.

Thank you - I've got a question - How do I remove a few rows from a cast on because the neck is a bit high have you done a video on that please.
Jennifer Elliott insert a horizontal lifeline then rip back and pick up stitches from the lifeline.
