@@djbubblegum9975 the vast majority of western fans didn’t really get into jojo until the anime came out which by that time JoJolion had already started.
I'm glad Araki took a good break between parts. Too many manga authors/artists neglect their health and even just a few months can be good to revitalize after a monolithic project like Jojolion.
Very true, but also, remember Araki likes to research parts on location. And he wasn't able to visit the Scottish Highlands at all (or wherever the part takes place) during the final year of Jojolion's runtime. That may have slowed down development of the story by quite a bit.
For example, Toyotaro took a break after Dragon Ball Super's 87th chapter back in August. He is coming back with the next chapter in five days but that's irrelevant. Taking a break is a great way to reflect on your ideas and find out how you can edit, revise, and improve them as well as having good health.
With how many artists have gotten sick or even died in recent years we should all encourage our favorites to take a bit of a break once in a while. Eichiro Oda also started taking more breaks after over working himself for years and years and honestly I would want him to take even more breaks just to be safe. We don't need more dead mangaka. I personally prefer to wait a bit longer for a new chapter so they can have a healthy sleep schedule. In Europe a lot of people have at least a month off per year.

It’s probably going to be the last part aswell, if we follow how long Jojolion took to finish, then Araki will be VERY old by the time this one’s done with
Worth noting: (According to my partner who is semi-fluent in Japanese) the plural and singular for descendant are the same in Japanese, kind of like deer in the US. So it might just be a translation issue.
Wonder if there will be paralells between SBRs Jesu-Holy Saint and king Arthur waiting to return. Yeah, one country off for England but not out of the realm of possibility with a travel focused story to branch of a bit south. If we have a Scot Jojo then Arthur might even be the antagonists stand.
Part 7 was a combination of Jonathan and Joseph, and part 8 was of jotaro and josuke. I think it would make sense for 9 to have characters like giorno and jolyne
I do find it funny that one of the biggest theories for the new protag is a bastard descendant of Joseph, like the man's not appeared in manga for almost 30 years and this is a new universe yet still his legend as a cheat proceeds to this day to his alternative counterpart.
I think that we're gonna be in northern Europe instead of Papa New Guinea, almost like how the Pillermen and the stone masks originated in Mexico but Battle Tendency is set in Europe as well.
My predictions for JoJolands: - The main JoJo will either be a Jolyne homage, a Giorno homage, or the twins ideas with both of them sharing the main character title. (I personally want another female JoJo as I'm fond of badass women) - The part will take major beats to part 3 as the Joestar group hops from island to island, discovering their many mysteries and defeating Stand Users. - This will take place after JoJolion, sometime in the 2020s. - Gappy will have a major role in the story, maybe resembling part 4 Jotaro. - The group could have a Rock Human as an ally. (I don't have high hopes for this but it'd be really cool to see) Thanks for reading and have a nice day
I think a new Jolyne is most likely since it feels like Araki waited for the part 6 anime to end to give us news about part 9. I also feel like you can't really have a new Giorno without that Brando connection, but who knows. Both Johnny and Diego were originally from England so it could happen.
something tells me that there will be someone like Pucci, to rewrite a universe or smthing, since if it's about ending a curse I think that someone has been send to a quest to cure it and the only way was to acces that guy who can rewrite the universe or smthing like that
It feels so surreal to see a JoJo part from beginning to end all together. I never existed for parts 1-6 And wasn't conscious yet during part 7 as I was literally born one year BEFORE steel ball run officially started in 2005, and I wasn't aware of part 8's presence during it's initial run in 2011, so this is pretty cool!
I wonder what the power system will be in this one. Maybe spin again, since it was in both 7 and 8? Flow? I doubt it'd be directly the holy corpse again, or even a curse (or blessing, for that matter), but the possibilities really do seem endless
@@slicky3397 I just wanted to know what you meant, not that I didn't see any, I'm just curious as to what you thought about them and if some of them match mine.

personally i like saying the fruit's name with a ro more than a lo because it sounds more like a rock fruit that way especially considering Rok and Rock are so close but Lokakaka can still work i guess
what if, araki goes ahead with the twins theory, and one twin has the positive flow and the other twin has a negative flow? Maybe if it is twins, it'll start off with them both being protags, but ending up one of them being an antag?
I think Jojolands will actually take place in many different countries, much like parts 2 and 3, Scotland will probably be the main country, like Italy in part 2 and Egypt in part 3, but other countries like Norway, Papua New Guinea and Japan will also appear

Part of me hopes that if JOJOLands is the last part of Jojo (Overall), that Araki does use it to somehow simulatinously act as a epilogue to Part 6 and the SBR-Verse. Maybe the Locacaca and all the supernatural elements in the SBR-Verse are somehow tied to the OG-Verse or something, just spitballing. OFC, it would be introduced in a way that isn't explicitly "This is from X Part in the OG universe" but it would be easy enough to make the association to help construct the relationship between the OG Universe and SBR-Verse as there is a major question that is unknown about the SBR-Verse...how does Gravity/Fate really work? Under the terms of Part 5 and Part 6, Gravity/Fate seemed pretty singular, and that in even subsequent universal reboots of the OG Universe that Fate would play out similarly. So what factors led to the major changes in the structure of the SBR Universe which produced such a massive upending of Fate? (Although Fate as it was still is heavily tied to the Joestars in this universe as could be seen with the Jostar family tree resulting in people going through abberations of conflicts seen in the OG Universe, Jonathan/Jhonny fighting Dio, Jouske solving mysteries in Morrioh, Joseph maybe cheating Suzzie-Q, not to mention that hookup occurring outright, also also the Joestar family bloodline transitioning from America to Japan) Makes me wonder if the theme of Exploration would be going into the WHY the SBR Universe is how it is, and maybe bring back the concept of Fate/Gravity as the "Final Boss to Overcome" from Part 5/6, as a way to roundabout the franchise (If it is the end of it here)
It's funny how jojolion was in publication during phantom's blood, battle tendency, stardust crusaders, diamonds are unbreakable and vento aureo anime adaptations. And partiatly during stone ocean's production. So i wonder if araki would be able to continue drawing in the same way, how long jojoland will last, it's evident the seires will be in publication during the steel ball anime but not sure during jojolion?
I imagine that this part will include Gappy in some way shape or form (either as the main jojo yet again, which would be an interesting twist, or as a support to whoever the next jojo is meant to be, similar to Jotaro in part 4) When it refers to “Descendants of Joseph Joestar” it could also be referencing an off-shoot of the Joestar bloodline from the incomplete family tree that at one point migrated to the Scottish Highlands (which would be a funny twist on the Joestars originating from the UK in part 1), if so, we could see multiple JoJo’s in one part. Another possibility is that with the focus on Holly as Joseph’s only child, and part 9 apparently focusing on Joseph’s descendants, I feel like Jolyene is the biggest candidate for the role as main character yet again, thanks to her more direct connection to the Kujo’s, and by proxy Holly in the original universe. Either way I can’t wait for this part to drop, since it’ll be my first time experiencing a part as it releases.
Just 2 or 1 days before it was announced, i was just thinking if i ended the part 7 and 8 (i started part 7 this week) i would be able to get to part 9 and check it monthly from the start
@AIDS naw underrated; People like Jotaro Kujo (obviously) suck up all the attention alongside all the newer Jojos (Jolyne to Johnny). Also, the lore is pretty much completed in a family connected timeline for the JoJos while Giornio is kinda isolated from the Joestar Dynasty, and we hear almost nothing as his life as a Mafia Boss
Quick google search brought up this: In Pythagorean numerology the number 9 symbolizes the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. Which is pretty interesting all things considered. Does it actually mean anything possibly, whether you take ending cycles from it (meaning the cycle of miracles and calamity), or a new beginning (which could mean any number of things). Also this (As the final numeral, the number nine holds special rank. It is associated with forgiveness, compassion and success on the positive side as well as arrogance and self-righteousness on the negative)
Jojo final villain stand abilities in a nutshell: Dio- pause the TV Kira- ever get the feeling of deja Vu Diavolo- you walk in a room but forgot what your doing Pucci- "insert sonic x theme song" Valentine- I got a twin😯 Tooru- Just don't, please just don't
This December is a jojo month, not only we got amazing anime conclusion for part 6 anime, but part 9 has been announced. Now imagine if part 7 anime gets announced this month!
One piece? More like Jojo piece. I’m betting there’s gonna be 9 main Jojos, jolak, jolu, joker, jorno, Joel, Jolene, Jonas, Josie and of course the pet, jojojojojoland
My wild theory is that the descendant or one of the descendants of Joseph will be the Part 9 universe's equivalent of the Invisible Baby Shizuka Joestar.
A lonely feel? Probably a Joestar with a weakening connection from the bloodline due to being brought by through the bloodline of a bastard child Discovery? Exploration? Probably the Joestar discovering their true heritage and bloodline and what it stands for building up themselves along the way in the Joestar path Maybe an even more flawed character than Johnny Joestar Basically a Joestar that is so far from being a Joestar but discovery finds them pursuing the Joestar way and finally becoming a true Joestar The MAIN JoJo Just a thought though
I think the setting will be in Papa New-Guinea because it refers more to JoJoLANDS as in isLANDS. Also it was mentioned in the manga about southern islands so yeah just my thoughts
I was really hoping this part will be taking place in Mexico since it seemed so important in part 2. 😭 But honestly, I know I’ll enjoy it no matter where it will take place. I know Araki will do an awesome job representing the country with lots of fun stuff. Excited!

My theory would be that this part is about them finding new locations that are similar to Wall Eyes and Devil Palms. Locations that are ""Cursed"" and are named after body parts, possibly from the holy corpse. As well as how the corpse parts connects to rokakaka in Papa New Guinea. And there's possibly another location in Scottish Highlands. And I'm guessing there's more, and until all 9 locations have been discovered, it will somehow all connect.

I'm so lucky that I get to be here to see the new jojo with everyone, looking foreward to your reviews again xForts!!! I got into jojolion like a few chapters before it ended so I felt like I missed out big time once it ended haha!! Here's to the JojoLands!!!!
What if JojoLands were the friends we made along the way?
Excited to see both your Jojolands and Chainsaw Man reviews!
"...around the same location it began, in a real **roundabout** way."
I felt that wink at the anime crowd burn through my skull
Part 7 was a combination of Jonathan and Joseph, and part 8 was of jotaro and josuke. I think it would make sense for 9 to have characters like giorno and jolyne
I also saw a version with the "OLands" in "Jojolands" highlighted, Oland beeing an island in nothern europe
I believe the press release also said the title is still tentative. Its also crazy that we havent been to the UK since part 1 iirc.
UK is kinda a boring setting for a series like jojo, dont mean to offend anyone
@@cheems3625 Cuz Morioh twice was thrilllingggg, bro come on now.
I do find it funny that one of the biggest theories for the new protag is a bastard descendant of Joseph, like the man's not appeared in manga for almost 30 years and this is a new universe yet still his legend as a cheat proceeds to this day to his alternative counterpart.
Jojolands aboutta be the Elden Ring of Jojo. Let's goooo
I think that we're gonna be in northern Europe instead of Papa New Guinea, almost like how the Pillermen and the stone masks originated in Mexico but Battle Tendency is set in Europe as well.
My predictions for JoJolands:
- The main JoJo will either be a Jolyne homage, a Giorno homage, or the twins ideas with both of them sharing the main character title. (I personally want another female JoJo as I'm fond of badass women)
- The part will take major beats to part 3 as the Joestar group hops from island to island, discovering their many mysteries and defeating Stand Users.
- This will take place after JoJolion, sometime in the 2020s.
- Gappy will have a major role in the story, maybe resembling part 4 Jotaro.
- The group could have a Rock Human as an ally. (I don't have high hopes for this but it'd be really cool to see)
Thanks for reading and have a nice day
i have no clue wdf itll be about, i just know itll be good
@@cheems3625 fr
i hope for the twins idea and scottish highlands
rock human as an ally would be so dope!
I never existed for parts 1-6
And wasn't conscious yet during part 7 as I was literally born one year BEFORE steel ball run officially started in 2005, and I wasn't aware of part 8's presence during it's initial run in 2011, so this is pretty cool!
2003 gang!!
I'm so excited to learn about the characters and abilities at the same pace as others, including theories to look back on in the future
I wonder what the power system will be in this one. Maybe spin again, since it was in both 7 and 8? Flow? I doubt it'd be directly the holy corpse again, or even a curse (or blessing, for that matter), but the possibilities really do seem endless
i think its really funny you mentioned the scottish high*LANDS* but not the fact it'll TAKE PLACE IN SCOT**LAND** lmao
I’m excited af but I do genuinely hope he answers a lot of questions/plot holes that 8 had
Flashback man!!!!
Plotholes and questions such as what??
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki bruh you can’t be serious💀
@@slicky3397 I just wanted to know what you meant, not that I didn't see any, I'm just curious as to what you thought about them and if some of them match mine.
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki how would they not match lmao. The wall eyes for example weren’t fully explained. He also built up that baseball field or whatever it was and never came back to it. Same with that whole thing with the kid who had the curse among other things. Still my fav part but my god💀
personally i like saying the fruit's name with a ro more than a lo because it sounds more like a rock fruit that way especially considering Rok and Rock are so close but Lokakaka can still work i guess
JoJoLands is going to be da bomb
The 'lands' part of the title could be referring to the highlands of Paupa New Guinea, not just Scotland.
So excited to read Jojo from the moment it starts. See you in 2036 when part 9 ends
what if, araki goes ahead with the twins theory, and one twin has the positive flow and the other twin has a negative flow? Maybe if it is twins, it'll start off with them both being protags, but ending up one of them being an antag?
Would be cool if these Lands had every alternate version of each JoJo.
Joseph Joestar technically does have another child, the invisible baby from part 4
Im so hyped for this.
I think Jojolands will actually take place in many different countries, much like parts 2 and 3, Scotland will probably be the main country, like Italy in part 2 and Egypt in part 3, but other countries like Norway, Papua New Guinea and Japan will also appear
Some thinks jojo animation is weird compare to other anime's with godlike fps animation, but for me, it's like reading the manga with just voice and sounds like when u imagine while reading the manga i say it's a masterpiece been a fan of jojo for a long time and y'all know ur a jojo fan when ur more hype than another manga part coming rather than the animations is going to release thank you for this masterpiece araki, im looking forward for the part 9's release y'all know there's gonna be a whole lot of new drips and poses
(Although Fate as it was still is heavily tied to the Joestars in this universe as could be seen with the Jostar family tree resulting in people going through abberations of conflicts seen in the OG Universe, Jonathan/Jhonny fighting Dio, Jouske solving mysteries in Morrioh, Joseph maybe cheating Suzzie-Q, not to mention that hookup occurring outright, also also the Joestar family bloodline transitioning from America to Japan)
Makes me wonder if the theme of Exploration would be going into the WHY the SBR Universe is how it is, and maybe bring back the concept of Fate/Gravity as the "Final Boss to Overcome" from Part 5/6, as a way to roundabout the franchise (If it is the end of it here)
I finished part 8 2 months ago and I’m hyped for part 9
It's funny how jojolion was in publication during phantom's blood, battle tendency, stardust crusaders, diamonds are unbreakable and vento aureo anime adaptations. And partiatly during stone ocean's production.
So i wonder if araki would be able to continue drawing in the same way, how long jojoland will last, it's evident the seires will be in publication during the steel ball anime but not sure during jojolion?
I imagine that this part will include Gappy in some way shape or form (either as the main jojo yet again, which would be an interesting twist, or as a support to whoever the next jojo is meant to be, similar to Jotaro in part 4)
When it refers to “Descendants of Joseph Joestar” it could also be referencing an off-shoot of the Joestar bloodline from the incomplete family tree that at one point migrated to the Scottish Highlands (which would be a funny twist on the Joestars originating from the UK in part 1), if so, we could see multiple JoJo’s in one part.
0:16 Damn. Didn’t he say it would be a short break? I guess short doesn’t mean anything anymore
LETS hecking GO JOJOLANDS CONFIRMED
Just 2 or 1 days before it was announced, i was just thinking if i ended the part 7 and 8 (i started part 7 this week) i would be able to get to part 9 and check it monthly from the start
I JUST WANT TO SEE GIORNO AGAIN 😭
@AIDS naw underrated; People like Jotaro Kujo (obviously) suck up all the attention alongside all the newer Jojos (Jolyne to Johnny). Also, the lore is pretty much completed in a family connected timeline for the JoJos while Giornio is kinda isolated from the Joestar Dynasty, and we hear almost nothing as his life as a Mafia Boss
Only if you re watch part 5 ;-;
@AIDS yeah his status is… *Bizarre*
(He still has the joestar star tho)
Quick google search brought up this:
In Pythagorean numerology the number 9 symbolizes the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
Hope I don't die before it finishes 🙏
1:54 No one mentions the pristine resemblance of this scenery vs when Jonathan and Zeppeli set out to find Dio in a town?
"In a real, roundabout way"
Nice.
Jojo final villain stand abilities in a nutshell:
Dio- pause the TV
Kira- ever get the feeling of deja Vu
Diavolo- you walk in a room but forgot what your doing
Pucci- "insert sonic x theme song"
Valentine- I got a twin😯
Tooru- Just don't, please just don't
Maybe we will see this world's version of Shizuka
PLEASE
This December is a jojo month, not only we got amazing anime conclusion for part 6 anime, but part 9 has been announced. Now imagine if part 7 anime gets announced this month!
One piece? More like Jojo piece. I’m betting there’s gonna be 9 main Jojos, jolak, jolu, joker, jorno, Joel, Jolene, Jonas, Josie and of course the pet, jojojojojoland
There might be a hurricane since the a in Lands is suspiciously similar to the hurricane symbol on most weather stations
Since Part 6 has ended, it's going to be weird seeing both anime and manga fans talk about the SBR universe
I think this is probably going to be the steel ball run universe version of part 3. If Araki if still doing that sort of thing
Why is Araki avoiding the tropical islands?😅
My wild theory is that the descendant or one of the descendants of Joseph will be the Part 9 universe's equivalent of the Invisible Baby Shizuka Joestar.
A lonely feel?
Probably a Joestar with a weakening connection from the bloodline due to being brought by through the bloodline of a bastard child
Discovery? Exploration?
Probably the Joestar discovering their true heritage and bloodline and what it stands for building up themselves along the way in the Joestar path
Maybe an even more flawed character than Johnny Joestar
Basically a Joestar that is so far from being a Joestar but discovery finds them pursuing the Joestar way and finally becoming a true Joestar
The MAIN JoJo
Just a thought though
I think the setting will be in Papa New-Guinea because it refers more to JoJoLANDS as in isLANDS. Also it was mentioned in the manga about southern islands so yeah just my thoughts
I was really hoping this part will be taking place in Mexico since it seemed so important in part 2. 😭 But honestly, I know I’ll enjoy it no matter where it will take place. I know Araki will do an awesome job representing the country with lots of fun stuff. Excited!
latin America is neglected asf
mexican drug cartel boss would be cool but may kinda be a diavolo ripoff
@@phaij4623 Tooru is Already somewhat a Diavolo rip off
@@SamuelSouza-di6nq theres a manga called eden: its a endless world, which is a cyberpunk manga set mostly in colombia, and other south american countrys. Later on it goes worldwide but maybe it would be of interest.
I'm approaching my 50s and I'm hyped as I was in 1993 when I was 19 and started reading it (yeah, western Jojo fandom is older and broader than most people imagine). This is the fourth part I'm following from the very beginning... maybe the fifth.
I’m so excited man😭😭
Can’t wait to see the radio gaga gaga rail as the new main villain for part 9
what if it ends the same way it started with sibling rivalry.
As an anime only watcher I can't wait for the anime for part 9 to come out in 2040.
Im sure the next main JoJo will be the counter part to jolyne.
That's an interesting one. I was thinking more along the lines of searching for new plant species similar to the locacaca rather than new locations that are like the wall eyes or devil palms. Definitely possible though.
I would like to think it’ll be like Shizuka in the alt verse with the attitude of Jolyne and her twin, someone like Gio.
If/Whenever the final part comes out, The final JoJos stand should be name Round-A-Bout.
It would be funny if the main Jojo is actually Holly
From Jojolions to Jojorabbit
We’ve come full circle
