Incredible playing! Hearing influences like Tristano, McCoy, Bill Evans, Mulgrew Miller, Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, Barry Harris, and so many others. Truly an underrated pianist. Master level.

Excelente pianista. Ejecuta las bellas melodías con gran maestría. Mucha sensibilidad en sus improvisaciones. Felicito igualmente al extraordinario bajista. Saludos desde México.

I agree totally with all that JazzPianoObsessed has said. It is a shame that masters such as these do not get the same or better regognition than the so called talentless pop stars that we are inundated with these days. Excellent playing and thank you MALCOLM for posting. Cheers.

true but they do it for themselves and for the art, not necessarily for success and money. i wish they got the recognition they deserve for the unbelievable amount of time they put into the craft but the world doesn't work this way unfortunately.

Killing. Really great. I think he won (or was a finalist) in the Monk competition a while ago.

Have been watching videos from these parties for a few years now and through it have discovered some pianists that have totally blown me away, love Rob Van Bavel's playing, and other players showcased such as David Newton, Rossano Sportiello, these guys are idols to me, and I get goosebumps hearing their playing, I have so much to learn on this long journey. Thanks for this great music via your channel.
