Explained: City of Pueblo shut down The Val U Stay Inn and Suites

It has been four days since the Val U Stay Inn in Pueblo was shut down, leaving about 60 families without a place to live. Some of those families have been calling us with questions about why they had to leave so quickly.

I can understand kicking people out, but not allowing them to take personal belongings, clothes, etc, from their effective home is disgraceful. The city should be forced to replace stuff that gets destroyed. It's bad enough these people were basically homeless, they had a roof over their head they could afford and you took that and everything they own. Shameful.
