I've had hamburger hands, trust me it's not fun. Went over the handlebars of my bike going downhill, and landed right on my palms and slid across the asphalt. Not only is it a painful wound, but there is dirt, rocks, and tar engrained into your hand that you need to clean out. Imagine having to do mouse & keyboard work after that....
That incident is actually why we have a complete first aid kit now (Like, the size of a small storage bin, it has everything). I'd recommend everyone get a real first aid box at home, it's been handy to have around in general!
Your videos helped made me feel more comfortable investing in a Onewheel. Having never been much for sports, it took me a couple good falls, but I’m getting better and put 6 miles on it the other night around a vacant downtown. Thanks, and stay safe. #onewheeltrunksaver

I loke the flatland product, they look good and seem like you don't lose as much dexterity as the gloves with the big slide plates. The lazy rolling hoodie is probably one I'm most curious about though because a lot of people say the loose fit won't help in a fall.

So I can attest that needing something for the trunk is important. I just got my Onewheel and I put it in the trunk and it was flying all over the place. Terrifying! Even though I know it was built tough never a good feeling hearing it thump around. #onewheeltrunksaver The Hoodie seems awesome! I ended up buying a leather vest cause I didn't know about that being a thing but I may get that as well. Thanks!

Thanks Jimmy! Great stuff as always! Love the trunk saver and Hoodie. The hoodie reminds me of some of the more inconspicuous motorcycle gear out there (draggin jeans, etc). Those are high prices for a hoodie, but pretty on par for armored protective wear. As an older rider with non-bendy bones, I'm on the lookout for ways to keep my body intact. Did you mention they are having a sale now? Would love to see a video reviewing different locking options for Onewheel XR. #onewheeltrunksaver

I've got the hoodie and I can tell you it's a quality product. It was worth the spend. I'm now interested in their pants too.
Hey Gavin, we really only use the top of the lime fabrics and materials, there are many great alternatives out there if you can't afford it,
Noteworthy is that for 30$ you can buy our Crash Replacement, this gets you 1/2 price of a NEW hoodie if you crash/trash your old one.
Best bang for your buck would be the Armored Hoodie 2020 ( The one Jimmy has )
It will keep you as warm as a hoodie, but also has the airflow system under the armpits for extra breathability
If it would start rain, there is a waterproof inner pocket, and you can definitely wear another jacket over it if it's hella cold,

Really like the review of new products. I saw the "fangs" on a fellow riders board and had to ask about them. They actually saved me from a wipeout/nosedive ;on the first day I put them on. I rode right through it and kept going. I have a milk rate that has been hacked to fit my XR. A real holder would be great plus look much nicer. #onewheeltrunksaver

Hi Jimmy, great video. I just got the new Flatland 3D fingerless gloves. I also have the Lazyrolling Hoodie. Both are solid products! I noticed in the video that you may have run up against the same problem I did however with these two products put together: I can't get my thumbs through the hoodie's thumbholes while also wearing the gloves! My concern is that during a fall, the elbow pads in the hoodie could be pushed backwards away from my elbow due to the non-use of the thumb holes. What are your thoughts? (I could get the Hillybilly gloves onto my hands with the thumbholes in use- but I prefer the flatlands..) Thanks! #onewheeltrunksaver
Great minds think alike and wear the same safety gear! The hoodie feels pretty snug and I feel while it may slide up in a hard fall, the pad would take the brunt of the initial fall. Full video review coming later. Any other issues you've found? I have one other I'll share in the other video.
@@freshlycharged I've found the hoodie to be pretty solid, and haven't found any other major issues (I've got the new 2020 version). The build quality is there. I've got the black version. Typically, I wear G-Form padding so throwing the hoodie on instead of the G-form is a little faster and more comfortable. I'm considering ordering their pants next. Since we're in SoCal, I wasn't really in need of their warmer performance hoodie or jacket.
Jimmy..question about the 1protect gloves. When using the hard pucks are they comfortable using the brakes/throttle/handles on an e scooter? Also..Can you wear any added wrist support with these? Do you have any other gloves of this type, that are budget friendly that you’d recommend? THANKS!!

Which pads do you recommend for the Armored Hoodie?
Been following you for a while now and I love these equipment reviews you do; they're super helpful. Can you also review some skateboard (i.e. ASTM F1492 certified) or other helmets that would be good for the onewheel? Would something like the Lumos Matrix be good for safety and visibility and worth it in your opinion?
