My Snowshoe cat has all the clasic markings. We got her from rhe local animal shelter as a kitten. We're amazed how she matches the Snowshoe identification markings and personality. She loves water and many of the characteristics of Snowshoes, including being very social and getting along well with our other cat. She's very attached to the two adullts in the house, but quickly adapts to getting along with visitors. 0:120:120:12
We found a Snowshoe in a trash can when she was just days old. After a couple of months in foster care we adopted her and named her Tashca. We took the R out of trash and the N out of can. She is so beautiful.
My male snow shoe also knew how doors worked, he figured out that knobs were to be turned. Devastatingly, we lost him to saddle thrombosis a year ago. However, last week we adopted a female snow shoe kitten, and at 7 weeks, she already figured out door knobs! She is so smart! She sure keeps us on our toes; and that’s literally, as she is always underfoot because she constantly wants to be right next to us. The feeling is mutual. We love her so much!
We found a snowshoe kitten at a donut shop and named him Fritter (like an apple fritter), he's the best cat I have ever had and ever will have, I love him so much and he's so docile and sweet and great with kids and other animals!!!
I had a snowshoe but did not know it was a breed, just thought it was a Hienz 57 cat. Local vet just listed it as tricolor. It was only when it got very ill and I took it to a specilized vet did they list him as snowshoe. He was a good cat and very smart. RIP Andre.
I’m sorry to hear that. What did he fall ill from if you don’t mind me asking? I had a flame point that recently had to be put down bc she had lymphoma. Now I have a snowshoe, and I, trying to gather information of potential health problems with this breed
@@Naltddesha He had renal failure. I'm not 100% convinced it was not caused by his vet perscribed special diet food he was on. There was a lot of pet food at that time that was contaminated with Melamine. That contamination causing renal failure as a possible outcome. Anyway, good luck with your kitty. If I ever get another cat I'll look for another snowshoe.🐱
My Snowshoe Stack will put a Kleenex box on his head and walk around when he wants attention. I have a couple lying around the house. It’s funny b/c we have hard floors, so he’ll push the box against the wall so he can get his head inside. Then he’ll walk around moving his head from side to side. It reminds me of a satellite dish 🤣
I have a snowshoe named Brisket. He looks different than most snowshoes,he has a white tipped tail, and has faint stripes. He doesn't like water, and has a weird personality. He showed our other cat,Ollie, affection then put his butt right in his face. They are a trip for sure.
Omg I also found a snowshoe cat outside. She was a tiny kitten, so small we had to bottle feed her at first. I've had her for 3 years now and I love her to death
@@jckgoldness I found the owner so sadly couldn’t keep him but he was a sweet boy 🥹 was fun while it lasted. I have 2 cats of my own 2 and love them dearly, so glad you found and cherish your kitty!
Our new twins are snowshoes, as their mom is a tuxedo and dad is Siamese but they actually favor Siamese except for their feet. Their names are Winnie and Prudence and are 3 months old as of this comment
We just took in an 11 year girl whose elderly owners passed away. She is lovely and fitting right in to our home. We did not know what this breed was.. Her foster mum identified her for us.
I just got my third Snowshoe. They are THE BEST! This new kitty has opened up within an hour of bringing him home. He’s perfect!

i found mine near a dumpster in Houston
I'm glad you rescued her. Awesome! ❤
My male Snowshoe has a deep meow. He leads me to the sink for fresh water & to his scratching post for treats.
My snowshoe Heathcliff stretches for the door knob and try to turn it when he wants to go outside..very smart and also very greedy..lol
Mine would actually open the door! He let the dog out! 😅

There's one of these gorgeous kitties in my street; his name is Sid but I've nicknamed him Oreo.
I found a snowshoe outside and I hope I can keep her :’) she is so sweet. She has haws syndrome and slight cross eyed too, but she seems healthy!

We got a snowshoe cat. A shelter saved him from a parking lot. We adopted him and named him Milo.
I have 2! Ghost and Casper! 🐱🐱🤘
My cat is a snowshoe but she barely talks and has never hissed
I love my snowshoe so much. His name is Franklin (Frankie, Frank). He plays fetch, he’s HUGE and makes the teeny tiniest little meows
