- We bought this 1982 Honda ATC250R a few months ago in non running condition. It had been sitting outside for a long time, and the engine was locked up. This is a classic sport / racing ATC with a 250cc 2 stroke engine. In this video we try to get the motor turning again.
The best part of the new house is how quickly the videos have been rolling out! Thanks for all the great content, you two.
A Honda, two-stroke, 250cc, three wheeler. That is SO rare.
jlucasound And stupid fast.
Not really actually that’s a first gen they are not valuable
The very best carburetor channel out there!
So happy for you two and your new garage/shop. You needed the space. You will make so much great content here.
I know long videos are hard to edit, so I really appreciate the short and frequent uploads rather than 1 or 2 videos a month. Do what works for you. Keep the power-sport hoopties coming! Thanks!
im not a motorcycle guy but i have been subscribed for years now and keep watching your videos not just for the entertainment but to see one of the greatest love stories i ever come across. keep up the good work
Hi. I love the new format for the channel. I cannot get enough of these videos, and I learn a thing or two about engines.
Cheers from Argentina
I really wish y’all’s videos were an hour long, I really enjoy them that much!…
Just be glad he's uploading
Awesome garage! Thankful for all the new videos and the sense of humor you two add makes it so much more enjoyable to watch!
Love the new video schedule. Wish these were longer, but totally understand that time is money.
As always love the channel. New shop looks like a real treat to work in
I love two stroke engines, can take alot of abuse and with some time/work get them running again. Enjoy the videos, keep them coming.
I wish your videos were longer.
AND more frequent. and more camera girl with less skinny bald guy 😊
me too
I'm just glad they're uploading consistently again!
I’m just glad they’re posting videos again!!! Went away from the channel for awhile with the infrequent uploads. Not trying to give y’all a hard time. But glad to be back learning from the wizard and the camera girl. Cheers y’all ! Keep it up ! Buying a Honda rancher tomorrow with carb problems so I’ll be channeling your wizardry 🧙♂️ 🏍️
They use to be
Another winner. Coolness
I can't wait to see what's next. I love your channel.
Pretty awesome machine. Nice job with the revival.
WHAT?! I have to wait for part 2 to watch you clean the carburetor?!
Anyways, love you guys and glad you're uploading more often!
"That's a great story" ---- Blank stare.
LOL
Thanks for uploading again. I enjoy your humor.
This is the one we been waiting for secretly
Absolutely enjoy y’all’s content can’t wait to see more on this 250R.
Yeahhhh! It's a runner!! I Was looking forward to this episode.
I’d love to buy it! The 250R! I had a TriZ250 “a long long time ago” loved that machine!
I wish that one was liquid cooled, I think 85 or 86 is when they switched to liquid cooled engines in the 250R’s
@@quantumbuddhist been riding for 41 years, I’m 44. Started on a little old Honda 90 3 wheeler at 3 & a “hand me down” Honda trail at 5 years old & never looked back. My son races, daughters ride, & just got 2 year old grandson a Stacyc to start practicing on. These machines have been a part of my life almost as long as I’ve been alive.
@@rhouser1280 After my mother passed, we found a picture of me wearing a diaper riding my brother's Honda QA50. I literally can not remember a time when I wasn't able to ride. I am 54 years old, and don't do much riding any more. Too hard on my back.
@@ctvxl buddy I feel ya. I had 2 discs replaced in my neck with artificial ones, the surgery didn’t go 100%, & I spent almost a year recovering. Sold my dirtbike & 4 wheeler because I didn’t think I’d be riding anymore & that just ate at me. I wasn’t ready to give it up yet. Bought a Husqvarna TE300 because of their suspension & am able to ride. Had to buy an expensive light weight helmet to keep the weight off my neck & mostly stand while riding to let my legs absorb as much as possible. Not racing but still riding with my kids every chance I get. Hopefully I can stick with it for another 30 years because other than my kids, it’s been one of the few things in life that can always ease my mind.
81-82 are first gen air cooled and 83-84 is second gen air cooled but better suspension and skinny front tire. 85-86 is the years everyone wants which is third gen liquid cooled making way more power.
Another video?!? Thanks, I always enjoy them. Enjoy your new home!
Love your videos. You are truly The Engine Wisperer. On a serious note, hoping you can answer this for me. I am always logged in to RUclips on my phone but I hate watching vids on the small screen. I end up watching the videos on my tv (which I am always using as “guest”) and then I go back to my phone (logged in) to hit the like button. Does me watching a video in full as a guest and then liking the video while logged in still give you, the content creator, the same credit/recognition/views? Want to make sure I’m helping you out and not being counterproductive to you while enjoying your videos. Thanks!
Glad you like the videos. You are very kind to consider if the way you watch helps us. I don't know how google ranks and promotes videos or weather watching on one device, and liking on another is good or bad for us. I say watch however is most enjoyable to you. We appreciate it.
front tire is on backwards! thanks for the video, loving the frequent uploads.
You could drag a Honda up from the Titanic and it'd run, they just knew how to build an engine... :P
Thank you guys for the consistent uploads!!
Rocky is the name of our pet rooster at work.
He's a bachelor, and head of security.
Great stuff guys! I'd like to see longer videos as well. 👍👍
Of course it will start, it's a Honda!!!!! Happy Riding
always cool to see a video from jennies garage again :)
I love that you're doing more videos, keep it up!
Always a win when you make a video whether the machine runs or not. But it almost always does
Yay for more videos. Nice job, you two.
Woo hoo. Though was looking forward to an engine strip 😢😢😢
Nice one Jake. Jenny what the shizzle. Good way ro get footage 😮😮
that's awsome, lookin forward to the next one !
This would be one of the machine I would keep around!!
I'd love to have that 250r also keep up the great videos hope the new area treats you great
Lots of them out there
pull the spark plug, fill the cyl full of 91% isoproyl alcohol and let it sit for 24 hours. Then, put it in 5th gear and rock it forward and backward in gear for as long as it takes to start breaking loose. Wont take long. This has worked for me every time for over 40 years
Wow Ive never been that lucky with a 2 stroke
Whenever I see this pop up on fb marketplace, there is only one YT channel I think of 😅
Still very interesting! Thank's a lot
Nice
If you are looking for constructive criticism, look into improving audio quality, maybe with external microphone to the camera. It'll bring a whole new feel to the videos.
Loving the more regular videos. You guys are always a hoot to watch. Keep it up team 💪 👍
Thank you. We have plans to improve audio. The echo in the bigger garage is pretty bad. Glad you like the videos!
Love it! Keep them coming.
This Video sounds more Fluid Verbally. Very cool. That is why I subscribed in the first place. Cheers.
Nice shop there. now get to work!
Appreciate the upload!
Hooray, more videos!
Yes!
Awesome, thanks guys!
I’m new to the channel. Really enjoying the content!
Personally I would have taken head off first. (easy on a 2T) Even if only for a good clean to help save the rings & scoring the barrel. Also check the ports for a blockage, But your way worked so hopefully it's not damaged. I had a poster of ATC250 on a sand dune pulling a wheelie & roostin' sand. They were the original legbreaker that probably introduced 4 wheelers with footboards to the world. Worthy of a place in a museum in my view. Yours could be made into a real nice one with some time & money. Hope you do it justice.
Love your videos.
Waiting for the next video.
I could tell it was going to run by the way it says Honda on the side
good one
they name themselves (Rocky & Bieber) and Rocky will make for a nice lil cruiser for any cruiser ready to cruise the lanes
I hope the rest are as easy. You guy's deserve a break. Then go find a beauty basket case.
Oh yeah, classic 3 wheelers
Way to go, guys
It's a great story 😅 camera girls awesome
That thing is gonna rip!
We need to go through that carb!
Thats a nice machine! Loving the regular content!!
I like the 10min vids but wish it was more frequently posted.
Dear Lord don't let this man touch a crank shaft
Really hope you pull the head and cylinder and clean the top end best you can. Can probably do it without even replacing the gaskets, just put a little hondabond on them when you reinstall.
Awsome! I had just like that one a ATC 250 R when i was a teenager. Lots of fun back then. Cant wait to see it run again. Love from sweden:)
Makes us all wonder why it was parked...and taken apart. Guess we'll find out in the next video!
Keep uploading !!!
Best small engine channel.
The ATC's are so dangerous and so cool
Since you talked about the tires, the arrow is going the wrong way on the front tire just for general information.
good eye
The IT flywheel footage- is that new unreleased footage OR did I miss a video??!!
Nice 3 Wheeler, My Sister Has 1 Similar To This 1.
Thanks, I have never ridden a 2 stroke atc before.

He’s not dumb.
Restoration or preservation? It is a worthwhile project.
She'll run!
Was that a nug of the devils lettuce sitting on the case next to the shifter linkage? 😂
Poor Robert forgot to pull the clutch in while he throttle stuck.
I was in the shed with Marcia my wife doing the hanky panky
Oh no, was the spark plug out of it while it sat outside? I’d pull the head & the expansion chamber, maybe even the jug to look at it & make sure the big end bearing isn’t shot. Or lube it & see if she runs lol
“That’s a great story”😂
Yeah I wanna start, i'm a Honda
Yes it’s more work editing a longer video I can completely relate to that but they sure were more better. It was so short I watched it twice.
You should invest in a automotive bore scope to look down them bores
Good jerb
“That’s a great story” 😂😂
Break it down and rebuild it. If you can find parts. That has very low hours on it.
OK. Maybe you don't need to. That still has "killer" Kompression. (Oh, sorry. I was thinking of my "Audi".) 😆🥰
It appears that when you tried to rock the machine to free the engine up you put it in first gear, I could be wrong. If you're trying to use the drivetrain to turn the engine over, the highest gear will apply the most torque to the engine.
Yo that oldschool boost bottle is worth few bucks . I’d keep it till you sell it to the rite guy . That’s like 100 bucks lol
Straighten the exhaust tube on your water heater!
That thumbnail looks like a little model lol
Been super stoked for this one man. Love some jg on a Friday 🤘
Bro. I need this 😂😂😂
3:24 - Camera girl must have been feeling tired and needed a sit down.
i recently bought some off grid land on a gravel road, do dirt bikes do fine on gravel or should i get a four wheeler instead?
Dirt bikes are right at home on gravel roads.
@@jenniesgarage awesome, ill have to get both now!
Second viewer love your videos been watching for years ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Careful with that evil trike. They go like a mongoose on crack.
