No way!!! This may be the problem with my 200 trx! I’ll have to check it out. Had to put new springs in mine and never thought that would make a sound issue. Thanks man!!
Gonna pop in here as I'm watching you take the engine off and say I'm guessing you've just got to much lash in your valves. Those two caps on top of the head are there for easy-ish adjustment of those dudes. Pretty bike man, I've had a couple 200s and to many other 80s Hondas to count. Cool stuff 👍🏻

Lol first took the engine part then the clutch? still didnt find it, finally the problem was so simple. Glad you got it sorted out man. Does not matter what u post bro. I'm always here and watching. You take care now. PS: my go pro did same trick, told me sd is corrupted and i need to format, i said f that, bought a sd card reader (cheat one like 4 bucks) and i got all my files back with that reader.

you mentioned the timing chain adjustment several times but never the valve clearance adjustment

It's your cdi spark advancer. I had the same sound I took the cdi cover off while it was running and pinpointed the sound

My stator coil went out on my 82 200s so I am putting my 83 xr500 engine in. Hope it hauls ass cuz the 200 only did bout 50

I’m hoping to find a rear rack to fit my 84 and not sure of the installation. Are there holes in the rear fender where it mounts to frame?

84 200S was my first 3 wheeler growing up! Shortly thereafter, my parents got me a 70! I loved the 200 but they thought the 70 was a better fit!!! I love 3 wheelers!!!

It's normal my 185 and 200s with fresh engines make that noise.

The atc 200s it’s mint the only think is it has the wrong gas tank it is a 1984 gas tank and not a 1985
it says it’s a early 85 on the frame and the gas tank was never changed out as far as I know 🤷
@@TheHomePros6221 it was change out at some point but all the gas tanks are the same but the graphics are different but it’s definitely a 84 tank doesn’t matter if the trike was made early if it’s a 85 it will have a 85 tank which it doesn’t but still the trike is super clean

You may need a hotter fuel.
The most dangerous feeling vehicle I have ever ridden. One of these big balloon tired 3 wheelers with the two wheels on the wrong end. If the two wheels were up by the handlebars this would have been a good design. I rode one of these at 35 and knew if anything happened I would splatter.
