In today's video I test the Slovenian Railway's newest train from Graz to Maribor. The journey only takes about an hour. I traveled in 1st class but this is not a big difference to 2nd class. The trains are perfect for such distances because before there were far fewer international connections to Slovenia. In the past it always required a change of locomotive. These trains also run from Villach to Ljubljana or Graz to Ljubljana.

I travelled on this train between Graz and Ljubljana a couple of days ago. It was a very uncomfortable experience because the seats are so bad. I got a sore back and a sore back-side. These trains are designed for short journeys not for the long distances on which SŽ uses them. Compare ÖBB's RailJets: they are designed for long journeys and I was very comfortable travelling between Villach and Vienna on the RailJet.
That's true if you compare the ÖBB Railjets and these trains, but if you look at other Slovenian trains, this train is quite comfortable
How do I buy the ticket of these Slovenian railway operated train? My app only shows ÖBB trains. Thanks

I think this might be just because because of speed limit because I think stadler flirt has max speed of 160 km/h. I might be wrong tho

140 is the top speed of the older class 610 (Flirt 3), the newer class 510 (Flirt 4) has 160km/h top speed.
But if in doubt, just read the labels near the bottom on the side of the train (single number in a rectangular box = max speed).
