    Great video Aaron!!! I used to do my own jigs and got lazy I guess. Helps Paul with a sale. Lol but making your own is the most rewarding I can tell you that and thanks again for the great video!!!

      Paul appreciates you! But yeah, it's very rewarding to catch fish on something that you made. I love it.

    Great video hair jigs are really the best way to catch early season walleye. Great tips on how you use them hope to see you out on the water.

    Hey Aaron, enjoyed the video. You've got me wanting to try tieing my own hair jigs. I wish you would of showed how to tie that final knot a little more slowly and how to use that tool. But nice job. Maybe, I'll see ya Green Bay soon. I can't wait to get the boat out of storage.

      Sorry about that part. It can be a little tricky with that whip finish for sure.

    • @Bullbluegill
      @Bullbluegill 10 месяцев назад

      You don't need the tool, search youtube on whip finish. You can do it by hand.

    Awesome video, I fished with Doug March 2023 on the fox since the Bay was still locked up with ice. The 3/8 tg jig and swimbait was the ticket that day! 🤘👌

    Awesome video! Do you prefer 3/8 or 1/2 oz. Jig?

    • @Aaron_mik_fishing
      @Aaron_mik_fishing  10 месяцев назад +1

      For the last 4 years I've been using mainly 3/8oz. Clam does not make a 1/2oz. Version. But, I'm getting some jigs from a different manufacturer to try out that are 1/2oz., so I'll be trying those soon.

    Do you put anything on the jig, like a minnow, or are you just using the hair jig with no additional bait? Have been curious how these are used for a while now

    • @Aaron_mik_fishing
      @Aaron_mik_fishing  10 месяцев назад

      Nope. I never put any live bait or plastics on the hair jigs.

  • @davidsummerville398

    • @Aaron_mik_fishing
      @Aaron_mik_fishing  10 месяцев назад

      Nope. We always use hair jigs just as is, not live bait or plastics required!
