  • Abhi rides the soon to be released Aprilia RS660. It's a "RS" bike, but it's designed to provide a balance between street and track. Find out what's good, what's bad, and what's Iconic about Aprilia's newest middleweight!

    Love the look of the yellow one. That bike with 130 horse power would be spot on.

    I'm happy to see Aprilia finally getting some new machines that aren't Piaggio parts-bin specials, which has been the case for much of the last decade. Yes, the engine is based on the V-4, but Aprilia designed that engine themselves. I have no doubt the electronics package will make it to the big bikes very soon. I like this bike a lot but I think I'm more excited by the Touareg.

      It'll be really fun to see how the Tuareg compares to the Tenere 700. Insella had a rendering which looked interesting:

    if I could buy any bike new, I'd be this one. Like you said it seems like the perfect balance between fun performance on street and practicality, with the looks of an italian superbike costing 20k+. Seems like a perfect next bike from my Ninja 400. I also agree that the bike could use an extra 10hp if you look at what its competition has and what the target audience wants.

    One of the best vids I have seen covering the RS660, i'm torn between the Gold and Red.
    I do agree on the wheels, maybe take the back wheel from the gold, and put it on the Red. Lol

    Nice review! What's the major difference between this and the incoming Tuono 660?

    • @IconicMotorbikes
      @IconicMotorbikes  3 года назад +1

      We won't know for sure until we get one in our hands, but on paper it looks like the differences will be a 4 hp drop (94 hp), less bodywork, and more comfortable ergonomics (taller handlebars).
      These are quite similar to the differences between the RSV4 and the current Tuono as well.

    Aprilia having issues... seems normal. They also have the worst warranty work and maint.

  • @braverabbit
    @braverabbit 3 года назад

    Check engine light, quickshifter, fuel gauge.....this is what turns me off regarding Aprilia and their bikes. These problems should be sorted out before they are handed over for first ride reviews. These are just excuses and most likely will follow this bike through its production of its first year and beyond.
