YES! More focus on these kind of builds please! FYI I think this is the first video of yours i have found so interesting i watched it from start to end. Good work! I would like to see more budget builds, like a series you did with different budgets but with focus on creator computers. Maybe a series with focus on video editing, one with CAD/3D/Rendering computers and i would really like a couple builds on music production computers. Hope my ideas can be of use to you. BTW this is the video that made me subscribe.
I just want to express my gratitude for the informative videos you create. Your focus on building computers for content creators resonates with me, and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying watching your content as I prepare for my first build
I'm happy I found this channel, I know nothing about computers, only that I need an amazing one to run CAD, rendering and BIM software, so I am trying to learn as much as I can to make an informed purchase. At this point I think I need to just pay someone like you to build one for me, instead of going someone here locally
I think you forgot to re-enable the CPU power limit. Many MANY motherboard manufacturers will ship their products with the limit set to 4096 Watt (no limit) when Intel actually designed 12th/13th to work with up to 253 Watt. Much like the RAM frequency, you will want to make sure the CPU runs within Intel's recommended specs. If you apply loadline calibration correctly, you can reduce thermals tremendously. I have done so with my 13700K which is now slightly overclocked for single-thread loads while leaving multi-threaded loads largely alone. I'm getting ~98% sustained performance on a Noctua NH-U12A. Power only ever exceeds 200 Watt when benchmarking. I also reduced the frequency of AVX workloads by 200-300 MHz as they caused me the most headaches when running Prime95.
My issue is that, I can't get a motherboard with a debug display and on-board power and reset buttons without buying an expensive board like that. They just don't put those features on inexpensive boards anymore like they used to, and they're necessary in my opinion. So I buy the $450-$500 board whether I need the overclocking, beefier VRMs, better IO, more PCIE slots, etc. or not.
That case looks like a piece of gym equipment from the 90's. I don't think I've ever seen such an impressively unpractical piece of tech in my life. I bet this build smokes though! Love your vids!
SignalRGB or OpenRGB would sooooo simplify ARGB control over all your ARGB across manufacturers from a single software… I don’t know why anyone, who isn’t all in on a single ecosystem, wouldn’t use one of these rgb softwares rather than the crap the hardware manufacturers throw out there. Also, in my opinion, a creator machine should absolutely care about airflow for cooling even more so than gaming system.
Great information! I didnt even know about the Intel Sync that you mentioned. As a creator I am definitely gonna look into it. Sidenote: I have seen Premiere Pro under severe edits pull upwards of 100GB of RAM.
Wow! That’s a sick build. But it does deserve nothing less than the 13900KS!! Batman says there’s a subtle smell of CPU bottlenecking in the air. He can’t wait for the upgrade and video with new benchmarks. 😊
That PC frame looks like it would be equally at home on a Bat Bike. What was total price of this build? Also I wonder if the radiator might have better where it was but rotated 180 degrees (so the pipes/cables aren't stretched).
Thanks for a cornucopia of very useful advice. I used your budget build guide, and from yours and other GPU tests realized I could build a very effective creator PC for my needs (above all, Lightroom AI Denoise) with a modest MB (ASUS BM76--M Plus), i5-12600k, 32GB RAM, and 1TB and 2TB Samsung 980 Pros. Not much of that counts, really, for my work, but what really gave my workflow a kick in the pants was a $224 used RTX 3060. Where my former Intel NUC processed one Canon R6 20GB CR3 RAW file in 5-6 minutes it now takes 8-12 seconds. What I learned: put your money where it will do good work. (Creator PC builder's motto?) Well, it worked for me. Thanks for all the help.
Ha-ha, yes - lifelong (51 years) editor and writer who still struggles to overcome the urge to use words of French origin instead of their sturdy and earthy Anglo alternatives. Call it a basket. Doubtless a holdover from my life as a scribe in Reading Abbey at the time of Henry I.
The advice about the RAM is more accurate than what some of you might think of it. I am running 5700x (yes, wrong CPU, I know), 32GB DDR4 Ram and when I am mid-way done with my SINGLE photo (although a composition) in Photoshop I can see RAM usage being 30GBs+ (out of 32 total) :) So as mentioned try to go directly to 64GBs because in photoshop you will see massive bottlenecking straightaway. Near the end of my photo editing I am barely doing stuff out of stuttering and massively decreased image quality simply because RAM is filled out completely
This dude really goes in depth. Nobody ever talked about the iGPU being unpowered on some motherboards in reviews Also I have that PSU and it is compatible with Seasonic PX cables
“Oh, and guys… I never said thank you for subscribing.” “And you’ll never have to.” 😂 The greatest RUclips sign off I’ve ever seen. Loving the content, your channel has been so informative to a longterm Mac user who’s trying to piece together a GPU rendering workstation.
The radiator is mounted upside down. Flip it and remove that air pocket that’s blocking coolant flow. There’s your overheating fix. You want your pump to be pulling water at the lowest point of the radiator, not the top. It creates a vacuum and traps air. Never mount your radiator that way if you’re mounting it on the front your case.

I missed this video in my research of building a creator pc, but I still hit 95% of your points. Lucky me. :)

Possibly purposely undervolt the CPU… probably will get faster clocks because it won’t thermal throttle. Motherboard manufacturers are notorious for pumping unhealthy amounts of voltage into the 12th and 13th generation Intel CPUs. On a different note, I have had really good success using the Arctic MX-6 even over the likes of Thermal Grizzly and Kingpin.
great build once again, but i may have a solution for your pump ring issue , just make a 3 pin argb 5 v to a Connector that the L3 connect port JST SM 3 Pin works like a charm for me
Good video. Good thing about building even budget creator PC it will last for years as Gaming PC. For my gaming needs at least ;) I went with Z790 MSI Tomahawk, 13600K, 32GB 6000/CL32 RAM, 4070, Kingston KC 3000 as primary drive, Kioxia Exceria as secondary (well it's PCIe 3.0, but that's budget build) and SATA SSD which was system drive in old build as temp/cache drive. I reused my PSU (Be Quiet Straight Power 11) and Case (fractal Design Define R3). And no RGB at all! If I would build something for gaming and photos only I would went with something much cheaper.
I think Z690 is much better, it will be a little cheaper, and most people won't need everything a Z790 board has on it depending on budget AMD is most likely a much better deal though unless you need some of the things Nvidia offers, with only 2 YT videos I don't consider you to be a creator so reconsider whether you want Nvidia or AMD.
@@leagueaddict8357 No I definetly not a creator. Do I work with my PC? Definitely. The main reason I went with Tomahawk Z790 was that when I was upgradeing my PC there was no Z690 versions on the marek in my country and I decided Tomahawk is best bang for buck. Also I got it quite cheap. I decided for 4070 instead AMD beacuse first I didn't need to change my PSU, and second in long term the energy saving are making it bit cheaper than AMD cards. I may be wrong with this setup, but for now it works and I'm more than satisfied with it. And if I overpayed then I guess that in the past :)
Idk what country you live in, but I think AMD is pretty much better for energy as well, Intel CPU's tend to draw a lot more power than AMD CPU's unless you go like 4090 high end I think Nvidia is a better option only there. PSU just depends on which PSU you are running, I think the Corsair PSU's are the best atm.@@Michal_Bauer
I have 3 SSD cards inside my pc first one is for programs, the third one is for cache… and what is the second one for? Is it for save applications files? Or does it go on the 3rd one as well? Pls help I forgot! Im resetting my pc
Thanks for the video, can someone please make an updated guide on rgb and how to set them, why so many programs for the lighting, and I thought there was a program to control them all
Just a query if you may reply then. using any GPU 12VHP extension cable, will it hamper the performance or cause overheating of any sort?? like i have a ASUS TUF 4090 so don't want to buy any cheap extension cable that may harm the GPU or its performance. Would be glad if you can help me out here.
Is it just me, or did this change your mind on the 14900K? I was thinking of going for it in a future build, but its running way too hot. I understand this is the 12900K, so 14900K would be same if not worse?
Not sure if anyone mentioned this below: To get the correct color on RGB lights try entering the color codes manually. If the software won't let you pick the color from the color wheel and it won't let you enter the codes manually, then try a 12ga breaching charge 😁You can google the orange codes (there are many shades, as you can imagine). Also, I'm no greenie, but the Intel CPUs are major energy hogs. The high-end Nvidia GPUs are also major energy hogs. AMD products are much less heinous offenders in this regard. Enjoyed the commentary on Gamer vs Creator builds.
Why did you put 4 sticks in? You should have put two sticks in at twice the size. More speed, stability (especially as you didn't buy the 4 sticks together as a single set) and cheaper to buy two bigger sticks.
I just loved your torrent build. just loved and have been religiously following since then. i bought the same case after watching the video. Also this build video is also awesome keep them coming..
Great channel. I'd like to ask your opinion. My build is i9 13900k 13th Gen, Asus Strix Z790-A Wifi D4, 128GB Corsair 3600Mhz DDR4 Ram, MSI RTX 4070 12G OC (I was cost prohibited), 360 Asus AIO and I use Resolve Studio 18 and Lightroom mostly, no gaming. Should I invest in a second MSI RTX 4070 12G OC or wait until I'm able to upgrade to a 4090 card? Also, did I do pretty well with my picks for components? Liked & Subscribed, Thanks, Paul.
I love that case. I like Cougar cases in general. I have an older Panzer because I still wanted space for an optical drive, and I just like larger cases. I think I'll find an external for the next build sometime this year, when the next gen cpu's come out. Trust, I still have and use my physical media. DVD/CD rot has to be some bullshit, because I can still use CD's I burned in 1996....no problems.
It's called 'workstation', not 'creator PC' lol ... and you don't build a workstation on gaming platform parts unless you're a 18y/o youtuber. A system with 2 memory channels and 16 pcie lanes is a toy. The rgb unicorn puke doesn't make it any more capable.
I understand the Z790 ProArt MOBO will have some changes as well as the other 3 boards ASUS is refreshing. Can you tell us anything about new features might be on that MOBO? gen 5 M.2?
Really enjoyed. I have spoke to you before on here regarding upgrading RAM and SSD. I have Asus studiobook proart h7604 16. I have bought the Kingston 4800mhz 64gb ram and a 4tb ssd. Do I have to update the BIOS after installing. It currently has 16gb.i also have a youtube channel I broke my back in 2019 and ended up paralyzed so I took up photography and then doing youtube depicting a day in the life, Camera reviews etc. I'm also UK based in the North West. I'm binge watching, trying to learn, I would to build my own one day but due to not being able to work due to my condition getting worse I have to save. So wopill be a few years before I can get a system like this . Love the batman theme and also the white with the blue rgb build . Have a great weekend and thanks in advance.
Toss that oem cpu chip clamp in the bin, and go for one of the 2 aftermarket cpu forms, that does not bend the cpu, and actually give it a lot better heat distribution surface. This is whats causeing your thermal throttling. Along with that you have to tune down the volt. This has been cowered by jayz and gamers nexsus for this cpu to many times. You would think as a tech channel, you follow them aswell? No need to wonder about stuff that has been looked into so much by others, and solved.
I firmly believe you should have inspected and fixed the thermal throttling issue instead of saying "I think its the cpu" and calling it a day :) Shouldn't it perform stable without throttling at stock voltages and power limits without further undervolting or limiting with that kind of AIO?
I paid for the pny quadro rtx 5000 graphics card, which is around £2000, do you think I paid too much for a graphics card or do you think it’s good for my high end workstation pc. My pc is worth around £4500 so it’s just under half the value of the whole pc. Edit, I kept watching and you said that a higher cpu is better than a high Gpu, so should I try and sell my Gpu and try and upgrade my cpu?
Since you already owned the parts, I reckon it would be easier to monitor the resource usage and see where the bottleneck is. e.g if the GPU was well utilized while CPU hit its performance ceiling, it might be best to upgrade the CPU without downgrading GPU since doing that would just move the bottleneck to other parts.
i love my i9 13900 non K with Deepcool AK620 on B760 Gaming X with 128 GB Kingston Fury ram sitting in Phanteks Enthoo Pro case (classical model with dual plex window) powered by Fortron Hydro 1200W platinum psu.... Now i just wait to change oldie rtx 3060 Aorus (Better than rtx 4060 as Tech Notice showed for creators in video - great video!) for rtx 4090 aorus or PNY model. Thanks for awesome as always video.
I’m glad you did this video, I always knew there was a difference between a workstation pc and gaming pc other than workstation pcs just having higher specs such as more ram for the more demanding softwares, but i didn’t fully know why parts where names gaming and others named workstation for example motherboards but now I do so thanks
I push MSI motherboards away with a barge pole because of mystic light: Never again!! Also this case seems to really compromise on cooling just for the looks. Not for me
Ive been a fan if yout builds for a while and still your builds are some if the best PC builds from performance astetics every thing you put into your builds is art. Your One of best creators that has leveled up the PCMR to make beautiful works if art Not just snow whites with ARGBs stuck in every corner. Still the All ProArt is my fav cause Black N Gold my color. Anyway I built my first PC Last December which i use mostly for my music production so stability was key and i haven't ran into crazy problems and i love my machine cause i created what i pictured what I wanted and even bought these fans that looks nice but wiring the fans and argb connectors was really the tedious thing a ran into a being my first build. But it all came together and with 4 new fans i didnt use cause i just liked and ordered them i didn't understand a difference of 5v 12v MB connections until after i built my PC and was afraid to power it up for a week.
hey man what do you think about the proart b650 motherboard as a creator if I cannot afford the x670e. Thank you for these vids though, everything i know about creator pcs i learnt from you
Hi! Holy GPU, Batman! Another great build! I love your channel and have learnt so much from watching all your videos! I am looking for some advice with my PC. My motherboard is the MSI MPG B550 Carbon Wifi. I am looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 5900x (Currently Ryzen 5 3500x) and I'm looking at upgrading to 4 sticks of 16GB DDR4 RAM (most likely 3600Mhz). Should I get CL16 RAM or should I save my money and just go with CL18? I mostly use my PC for video editing in Da Vinci Resolve (Mostly 4K 8-bit, sometimes 10-bit 4.2.0 but possibly 6K 10-bit 4.2.2 when I get a new camera) Edit: MY GPU is a 3060Ti, if that is important.
Been a fan of the og Cougar Conquer since it came out but sadly it was 2.5x the price in India, was also way too small and a cable management nightmare. Nowadays I'm more of a Lian Li O11 Dynamic/Vision kinda guy. Also I never knew screwdrivers come in that shape and thanks for the multi zone uni fans recommendation, didn't know about them either. And seems like Zotac screwed up their software big time since the 20 series, I've got the 2070 Super Amp Extreme but the software and rgb runs flawlessly.
Dear friend! I am your subscriber and fan. Please help me, I want to create an extremely quiet PC for music production. What kind of cooler and fans can you recommend? my processor is 13600k
Hi, Is there any way you could build me a pc? DO you have a website or offer to build pcs? If not can you possibly reccomend somewhere that I could go to get a build done for me? Many thanks David
This video for video editor "creator" obviously. While my peers got one 4090, I build four cheap rtx 3060 systems. I gain significant competitive edge with this, that I feel no need to buy the 4090 anymore. This tip not for video editor btw.
Why did you buy a modular PSU and then connect all the cables you are not using? That's a ton of unnecessary clutter. Defeats the entire purpose of a modular PSU.
Wouldnt wast 3500 bucks on something that will most catch on fire i had a 4090 caught on fire got a 7900xtx and im happy it work no smoke if your not using ray tracing 7900xtx is more then plenty
I do a lot of work with Cartography mixed with Data Science, Computer Science and Programming, with a bit of 3D modelling (mostly from LiDAR) mixed in. I'm doing research to create my first PC build with this as the primary role in mind. Based on what I understand, this role would fall under a creators PC, so I was wondering if you had any recommendations for parts? I'm trying to keep the cost between $2,000-$3,000 Canadian, lower is better without sacrificing performance. I'm currently considering a Intel i7-14700K processor, with a MSI Pro Z790-A Max WIFI or a Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite series motherboard. Still haven't decided on the GPU, or much else yet for that matter. Though for RAM, would you say that 2x32GB or 4x16GB RAM would be preferable?
Closing those 3 fans in with that steel door, behind the glass, is painful to watch 🤐. Those fans will not work rly. And therefor you wont get positiv pressure in the case.
While I agree on the first part, have you actually looked at the case? You will never build any sort of pressure in there or have heat trapped, since it's not sealed like a regular case. It has massive gaps between glass panels and the rest of the case.
If I could build the ultimate gaming computer; it would cost me a fortune; because, I would have the best quality merchandise. What I really need, is a way to make more money.
@TRC_WA yea I don’t want to have to deal with thermal throttling 24/7. Dealt with intel on my Mac and it was borderline unusable. Imma check out ryzen more tho
This and I didn't notice if he used a contact frame or not. If not it could help with temps. But yeah Signal RGB is almost as good as the iCue software but of course you aren't limited to one manufacturer.
I'm glad you showed the difference between Gamer vs Creator... I Gotham mixed up.

Thanks for the video, can someone please make an updated guide on rgb and how to set them, why so many programs for the lighting, and I thought there was a program to control them all
Signal RGB would be a good option to try for this.
As long as you are buying the cable from a reputable manufacturer (eg. Cablemod) you should be ok.
@@petrolhead0387 what about the one used in the video some ezdiy named brand? As I don’t think cable mod is available in India
@@rahulkamath6984 not sure why RUclips removed my previous comment, but if you didn't see it, PCMR is best place to ask for suggestions.
@@petrolhead0387 you mean pc master race?
@@rahulkamath6984 that's the one. You will always find someone in your location on there that can point you in the right direction.
Is it just me, or did this change your mind on the 14900K? I was thinking of going for it in a future build, but its running way too hot.
I understand this is the 12900K, so 14900K would be same if not worse?
disable MCE on BIOS and you'll be fine! :)
Curious if was a reason dont use the same ssd sticks? Thanks
Great video. For video editing with large files, you would create proxy files witch you can do very efficient in Premier.
I search alot for this finaly you did it i love it thanks ❤❤❤
I want it... I'm a photographer and videographer, I need to build a proper creator PC.
waiting for 4K 60 uploads. this 4K 30 is so blurry
8k 25fps* :)
@@theTechNotice do 8K 60 :)
Bro this was insane!
Great content. Thank you
Could you recommend a decent mini pc for music production
Geekom IT13 Mini with i7 or i9

Very kind of you to reply
Glass Panel screws, I used "small" rubber O-Rings for a spacer.
Go for a single gpu that’s more powerful considering the 4080/4090 are worth in terms of performance
AIO Pump should be 180° around. with the in/out at the bottom. my best guess is the it was Air in the pump.
That's funny! Every time Amazon Prime sell going on every other company have the same! BTW, GREAT PC BUILT! 🙌
PLEASE review the MagniumGear (MG-NE523A_BK06W) Neo Air 2 ATX Mid-Tower. This would be pretty nice if pushpull is capable on the front of it!
i think you need to reconsider when we talk about architecture. architects are creators and we need a PC for gamers.
The case I'm currently using is very big too. It's the much older Rosewill B2 Spirit.
Not for me
Should I pair my Intel Core i7 13700K with DDR5 6000 MHz RAM (total RAM: 64 GB)?
Thank you for these vids though, everything i know about creator pcs i learnt from you
So creator pc is for people who essentially do video and photo editing, what about the people in the 3D animation, gaming and VFX industry?
Yeap. I want to know too lol.

I mostly use my PC for video editing in Da Vinci Resolve (Mostly 4K 8-bit, sometimes 10-bit 4.2.0 but possibly 6K 10-bit 4.2.2 when I get a new camera)
Edit: MY GPU is a 3060Ti, if that is important.
not much difference between cl16 & 18, I'd save money :)
@@theTechNotice Thank you so much!
And seems like Zotac screwed up their software big time since the 20 series, I've got the 2070 Super Amp Extreme but the software and rgb runs flawlessly.
should turn the AIO around then u would have enough length available 😅
Instead of the 12900 should have maybe gone with the 13700K same core count and I think the frequency is a little higher as well.
The design of that firestorm software makes you go:
Dear friend! I am your subscriber and fan. Please help me, I want to create an extremely quiet PC for music production. What kind of cooler and fans can you recommend? my processor is 13600k
Hi, Is there any way you could build me a pc? DO you have a website or offer to build pcs? If not can you possibly reccomend somewhere that I could go to get a build done for me?
Many thanks

Why does everyone else say running 4 sticks of RAM is bad.
Good PSU will last you a long time => yep can only agree, bought in 2012 my Corsair AX760. still working these days.
This video for video editor "creator" obviously. While my peers got one 4090, I build four cheap rtx 3060 systems. I gain significant competitive edge with this, that I feel no need to buy the 4090 anymore. This tip not for video editor btw.
sorry but no, when ur 12900ks insta throttles, somethings not right. either voltage or the cooler... test it with another maybe?😅
i want to see him get into the box
Ek sells solid black fan AIOs and they are cheaper too
The three fans will just suck air away from the GPU. Turn them around. It really will show a performance difference.
Why did you buy a modular PSU and then connect all the cables you are not using? That's a ton of unnecessary clutter. Defeats the entire purpose of a modular PSU.
you can get 96GB in 1 kit (2x48) and 2x32GB has been a standard since almost forever - why would you ever do 4x16GB
Though for RAM, would you say that 2x32GB or 4x16GB RAM would be preferable?
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHH BATMAN !!! PC!!! Worldwide Giveaway NOW !!!!
I got a badass creator pc i use for mostly gaming lol 4090 13900k 64gb ram 😂
That thing looks like some kind of exercise equipment from Planet Fitness.
Mystic Light R: 255 G:20 B:0 Brightness 100% gets a nice deep Orange
No R24 link????? you said you would? or I'm blind.

you really should've used an i9 13900k and a lian li galahad ii trinity performance to get better and cooler cpu performance

@TRC_WA I’m seriously debating on the 7950x. Gonna use for music prod, vid prod, also streaming sometimes.
@TRC_WA yea I don’t want to have to deal with thermal throttling 24/7. Dealt with intel on my Mac and it was borderline unusable. Imma check out ryzen more tho
@TRC_WA thank you I’ll keep you updated on the final decision
Music too loud. But thanks for the video.
Three different pieces of RGB software - yikes! You may want to give Signal RGB a go - this can control lots of different RGB hardware.
This and I didn't notice if he used a contact frame or not. If not it could help with temps. But yeah Signal RGB is almost as good as the iCue software but of course you aren't limited to one manufacturer.
2:18 How many beers?
Signal RGB...problem solved.
If you have a Bad-Cave, then, and just than, is this case is acceptable xD.
I love AMD, BUILT 2 SO FAR SPECIFICALLY FOR VIDEO EDITING, am never going intel no matter what.
