It's not allowing me to make the mockup. Do both files have to be an svg? My mockup image is a jpeg and what I want to put on it is a svg, will that not work?
The vector design does not clip to the shape of the underlying shape. Also it only works on base images which are white. Because when you 'multiply' the top vector, it takes the shade of the underlying image. Again very ram intensive. Hope Adobe can come up with a solution.
hi! thanks for the video. I try every step you said, but when I select both the image and my design, the "create mockup" option is not clickable. why do you think this is happening? what should I do? I tried to add my design as a PNG and AI file.
someone above said it's part of the latest update, there isn't currently and option to correct for a dark background. i've been fighting with it all day :(
How do you make the label to mask according to the mockup? I tried to use the mockup tool, but the label design is also visible outside the mockup (the can) and doesn't mask like in your video.
@@arkwalo Try to update it, and if you still can't find it then Creative Cloud is on corporate or student plan, which means you need to ask who owns the licensing to grant access. This is all I know at this point
This was very helpful. Thank you! Do you know how to add a repeating logo on a mock-up? For example, packaging tape has the logo repeating. I tried adding multiple images to a mock-up box, and it would not let me. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. If you know, do you mind making a video about it?
I sometimes have trouble with the mockup not showing up on the image even though all the tools are there and i can see the outlines when i hover. Have you ran into this any fixes if so?
@@PANTERvision it says it’s normal and not multiplied so I’m not sure what setting is wrong. I’ve done the mock-up exactly how you have but it automatically makes it look like it’s multiplied so it super fades it out on darker grounds.
@@Roxy_de Yea I see it now, seems like the dropped a new update so it makes it transparent automatically. You can change the blend but never to non-transparent
@@Roxy_de Right now it seems like it's unusable on dark backgrounds but this is a Beta tool and it's an unfinished tool on it's early stage. The gonna fix it
It seems pretty nice for a quick mockup to see how it'll look before continuing with a design.
Yes indeed
Do the files have to be in a specific format, I tried selecting two images, click mockup and make is greyed out so I cannot select it.
same 😔
@invisionbranding-fn3ht the branding needs to be in vector and the image either jpg or png?
Branding sticker or label should be vector.
You have to make the mock up a cliping max
I did the exact same steps but then it says "An unknown error occured." why?
It's not allowing me to make the mockup. Do both files have to be an svg? My mockup image is a jpeg and what I want to put on it is a svg, will that not work?
Quick, to the point. Thanks man. Subscribed
Thank you!
I did exactly as you did and the "make" option is still greyed out after selecting both images. What am I missing?
It happens the same to me!!!
so is mine help?
I have the same problem,. Anyone any suggestions?
I figured it out, the upper image (the label design) must be a vector image (can't be raster).
@@lorantbencz1956 Thank you, this worked for me!
Why is the mookup grayed out ?
Upper image needs to be a vector

That's the problem with Illustrator and bitmap images, they just don't work together
@@PANTERvision is it possible to use the mockup tool if both images are bitmap, will that reduce the ram requirements?
Is there a way to add a image and not a vector?
hi! thanks for the video. I try every step you said, but when I select both the image and my design, the "create mockup" option is not clickable. why do you think this is happening? what should I do? I tried to add my design as a PNG and AI file.
The branding design has to be vector. The mock up is image
how do u get the white vector on the black shirt without AI blend multiply itself.. It doesnt work on mine
I have this same problem automatically blends everything white

Has anyone figure out this white situation?

I have the same experience.
Hmm, not working at all for me. Tried to place a logo on a shirt with wrinkles and shadows but the logo stay the same and doesn't shape accordingly
My illustrator doesn't have Object > Mockup. What am I doing wrong? It's updated to the latest version 27.7
Same here!
This is in Illustrator Beta
@@PANTERvision Yes, even in beta the option isn't there for some, apparently :(

HI, con you help me add mockup (Beat) in the adobe illustrator. illustrator version 2022
So cool! But how come my design goes behind my mockup? ..my layers are good...
😮😮😮😮 cool ... But why not in photoshop 😥

Multiple images hmm, maybe if you could group them and then make a mockup?
when i try it, mock up tab looks gray... why is that? ( yes i am selecting both images)
it simply doesn't work. He's not mentioning the part where there needs to be particular images for the mockup to be made.
I sometimes have trouble with the mockup not showing up on the image even though all the tools are there and i can see the outlines when i hover. Have you ran into this any fixes if so?
Right now they updated the tool and it's not working properly
@@PANTERvision Thanks it does seem hit or miss for me and the mockup dissappears on me often when making changes.
@@jarrettbyrom2747 Yes this is a beta version and they keep making changes because it's unfinished
this gonna save a lot of time
Maybe
the mouck up it not work what can I do?
How do you keep yours from multiplying? When I mock it up the artwork multiplies. I need to use a dark top but the artwork is bright.
You can change the blend mode anytime

Does it work with type, or does the type have to be expanded first?
I know this is a late reply, but yes, you can use type. Type and vector work. No rasterized art though.
I cant find the mockup tool on my Illustrator :(
Hello! It's currently only available in Illustrator 2023 Beta.
Why does my Photoshop Beta not have that option? I don't even have Object there.
this would be in illustrator, not photoshop.
I love the font!! What font is that?
Thank you! I made it

Thanks! I made it
that's cool man @@PANTERvision

@P A N T E R Font name? Love it and it works really well as a coffee.... future business selling coffee to supporters? I think i would try it!
Haha thanks! Let's make a Panter Coffee brand😄. The PANTER script is custom made from a sketch I did and stylized with pen tool.
Thaaaaaaank you❤
there is not mokeup in my beta illustrator
Are there any alternatives to Adobe that can do this?
Of course, Photoshop and Dimensions
@@PANTERvision Those are both Adobe products.
Ah alternatives. You might want to search for online mockups that can be edited online on website@@cjgroove2
Literally exactly what I was looking for. Thank you 🫡
muito obrigadooooooooooooooooooo
It doesn't let me sleect the option
Do you need a transparent backround for the product? Thanks ✌
It's better with a blank background, studio images isolated on white/grey. Otherwise it puts the image on unwanted areas as well.
makes sense thanks for quick response

Thank you!
FINALLY... but I can't download AI beta for free to check this new features.
Illustrator Beta is free, but only if you bought the normal Illustrator 😅
Oh....
Hate that you have to have a vector to do this
Crack
When I go to the mock up it doesn’t give me the option to click ‘’MAKE’’ what am I doing wrong 😩 haha
Select the image and the design as well so the program can enable the option
The design/label must be vector, it doesn't work with raster images. Only the mockup image can be raster.
