Hi, i recently bought sound bar ht g700 can I know what mode is the best in terms of playing ps5, watching movies Netflix... TV and so currently i put it under (Auto). what is the best recommendation fir for the above and what are the differences in mode.
Ambeo soundbar is the best for big TV, for budget Sonos beam for 32 inch TV which sounds like a big Bluetooth speaker, cheap alternative is JBL bar 2.0 & Yamaha YAS109 for small TV & tablet.
I was looking for a budget soundbar during Black Friday to pair with my parent's new TV they're getting for Christmas and I settled on the recently released Vizio M21D-H8. Normally priced at $150, I found a fantastic Black Friday deal and snagged one for $80. However, just watched your video here and the recommended Samsung HW-T550 was comparable in price to the non-discounted Vizio at approx $175. Since these are Christmas gifts, I haven't had a chance to try the bar and aside from a handful of reviews and a bit of info on reddit, there's just not much out there talking about the Vizio all-in-one M-series bar. I'm curious how the Vizio budget bar compares to the Samsung one shown here. I mean, ultimately at the end of the day, I'm sure that for $80, it's going to be a fantastic soundbar for the price. I'm just wondering if I shouldn't have searched high and low for a Samsung deal during Black Friday instead.
Incredible immersion means great surround and atmos/dtsx sound right? Then why are the surrounds scored low on the samung? Something's off on your best overall pick soundbar.
I bought the Samsung HW-Q70T Sound Bar (3.1.2) at Best Buy with my Q80T (55") TV. We are very happy with it. Got it on sale for $299.00 plus another $100.00 off the bundle with the Q80T TV set. (TV was on sale too) Could I have gotten the model above it? Of course however, the Q70T Sound Bar matched with Q-Symphony sounds pretty darn good. (60w TV Speakers) I was replacing an older Sony 5.1 Theater-in-a-Box I got back in 2005-ish (Left Channel blew out) with my Older Sony KV-34HS10 34" HDTV. The Theater in a Box sounded a LOT better when I swapped out the Dynamic Sub that came with it for a 12" Down Firing Klipsch Sub Woofer. WOW...Rattled the windows in the living room. LOL This new Samsung Sound Bar is clear, decent bass, and does what we want just fine. Granted it does not have 'Rears' however, I do not feel we are missing that much. Plus it does have Dolby Atmos.
I want to ask this question which sound bar recommends me or which one is better. I hope answer yes. the bose the sound bar700 or this JBL 5.1 Soundbar. Which one do you recommend, please ask me which one is better. I wait for an answer.
The Bose Smart Soundbar 700 is a bit better for mixed usage than the JBL Bar 5.1 Surround. The Bose is better-built, with better soundstage and surround performances. Also, it has built-in voice assistant support. That said, the JBL reproduces a more extended low-bass and supports more wireless playback options. It also comes with EQ presets and a Full HDMI In port, unlike the Bose. You can compare them side-by-side here: www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/compare/bose-smart-soundbar-700-vs-jbl-bar-5-1-surround/872/4522?usage=8767&threshold=0.10
Is it pointless to purchase rear surround speakers with a sounbar to get the extra surround/upfiring speakers, if your couch shits against the wall and you can’t put them at the right space/angle behind you? Will you get the same affect just angling them on the back corners of the couch ?
Those of you that are Costco members and really don't care about the voice assistance in the Arc. Costco has the Sonos Arc SL for $50 cheaper. So far it is not online but they do have them in store. It's the same Arc as the original Arc just without voice assistance. I have Alexa and Google Home throughout my home so having the voice assistant inside the Arc is not a deal breaker for me.
Q950T was buggy as hell. Audio cutting in and out. Requiring unplugging and plugging back in the HDMI or power cycling. When it’s working, it’s great, but the headaches made it unusable to me. Nothing worse than the audio fluctuations or cutting out mid movie and having to get up and spend 5-10minutes trouble shooting. The Arc, sub and surrounds has been flawless and a much more enjoyable experience.
How would the sn11rg be placed in this? One issue I had with it was it interfering with my mesh wifi network no matter where I moved my router (yes, I attempted to fix with possible channel changes but neither the bar nor router supported this feature). So was a deal breaker for me. Ended up going for a klipsch 5.1 reference pack with a 5.1 Denon receiver just to get into proper home theatres. Absolutely amazed by the system and have no regrets.
Hmmm- no mention of the Sennheiser Ambeo? Guess you haven't tested that one as it is a bit on the expensive side but there appears to be no better available..
@Fencek how does it compare to the JBL bar 9.1? Cuz I really like the option of the detachable sides and I could sacrifice a bit of quality to have that feature, would you say this one you mentioned is much better that it’s worth giving up the detachable feature for a much better quality?
@Fencek Thank you! I’ve never used a sound bar before and it’s my first time considering one. I probably won’t buy one any time soon but I wanna have a good idea of what’s good in the market haha. I’ll check out the Klispch 1200 and I’ll take your suggestion of the AMBEO into consideration. Thanks dude.
I was glad to see the Vizio SB36512-F6 as an honorable mention on this list. Best soundbar for the buck IMO, especially at $300 or less this season (normally around $500) for a well-reviewed 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar (no DTS:X, but does have DTS-HD MA & DTS Virtual:X). Great choice for me.
Sorry I never checked back in this comment. Had it for 3+ months now for the first half of time I had a few problems with the bar cutting out after a few hours of use I think it’s just the crappy JBL software but just kept playing with the settings on my TV and now it sounds perfect and I barely get any problems I truly thinks it’s worth it.
alright, i'm still not sure....if i had a budget of about 600, which one would you guys say to buy if i want something that has great sound speech is clear and base as well??
We went ahead and made you a Custom Table Tool to explore some of the options! The Vizio SB36512-F6 performed very well and is cheaper than the Samsung HW-Q700A right now which is the next best overall! www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/table/53713
I have heard several reviews of the JBL say they had issues with the surround speakers dropping connection multiple times in a single play session so that is a concern. Also how do you "review" an item without reviewing its battery life??? Its 10hours... you can't put 10 hours into a product? To top it off you gave the best 5.1 to a 9.1 maybe change the category name to fit better. I am also a bit puzzled by the "best overall" is price going into this is it just best sound what is it? If it is just best sound and not sound for the money I am not sure how you would come to the Samsung winning but perhaps you are limited on what you have reviewed.
What's the difference between the old JBL 5.1 with 2 removable speakers vs the new 5.1-9.1 that has the same set-up? Difference apart from the Atmos and DTS-X compatibility.
Audio receiver and WIRED speakers FTW. I don't care for eArc. I still use my Pioneer 6.1 THX certified receiver from eons ago with just an optical cable with a JBL Sub and speakers.
I love my Samsung q850t soundbar but it has major issues I can’t seem to get around. With Dolby atmos enabled the sound will skip every 10-20 minutes leaving it essentially useless. I also can’t enable dts:x at all. Only the 5.1 surround works as it should.
Thanks for clarifying! We give the edge to Vizio in this case, especially if you're using it for watching movies. You can check out the side-by-side comparison if you want more details: www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/compare/samsung-hw-t550-vs-vizio-sb36512-f6/13267/863?usage=12412&threshold=0.1

I need help, my TV is Sony 49x8000h, It has Dolby Atmos and I would like to find a soundbar that will work as well the Dolby Atmos, is the Q800T or Q800A will work even though the TV only has HDMI ARC?
I have Lg c9 and massive PS4 collection , many of which have PCM 5.1 audio , I have zeroed in to Samsung HW q950 t soundbar . As you say it lacks PCM support for it's HDMI in ports , if i connect my devices directly to LG C9 insetad of HDMI in ports of soundbar and use earc for passthrough as LG c9 supports earc , will that solve the issue of PCM support or is there any other way around as well. Just need the best audio with max format support. Could you please suggest on it.
They're pretty similar overall, but the Q800T is better. The HW-Q800T's bass extends a bit lower than the HW-Q70T, so it may appeal more to fans of bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop. The HW-Q800T has a slightly larger wireless subwoofer. Both bars support Atmos and surround content, but neither does an impressive job creating an immersive experience.
Well, considering a good audio receiver alone is 4 times that and a good subwoofer is 2.5 times that, I'd say keep your $300 and don't waste it on crap.

I have an old Samsung surround sound system in a box. Would it be worth the upgrade? The old system still sounds great but has wires all over
I bought the Samsung HW-Q70T Sound Bar (3.1.2) at Best Buy with my Q80T (55") TV.
We are very happy with it. Got it on sale for $299.00 plus another $100.00 off the bundle with the Q80T TV set. (TV was on sale too)
Could I have gotten the model above it? Of course however, the Q70T Sound Bar matched with Q-Symphony sounds pretty darn good. (60w TV Speakers)
I was replacing an older Sony 5.1 Theater-in-a-Box I got back in 2005-ish (Left Channel blew out) with my Older Sony KV-34HS10 34" HDTV.
The Theater in a Box sounded a LOT better when I swapped out the Dynamic Sub that came with it for a 12" Down Firing Klipsch Sub Woofer.
WOW...Rattled the windows in the living room. LOL
This new Samsung Sound Bar is clear, decent bass, and does what we want just fine.
I order Samsung HW Q60T whats your opinion about sound?
When are you going to review Samsung HW-Q950a? Just curious since the 950t is at a pretty good price
Testing has started! Stay tuned to our social media accounts, as we will post the review there once it's ready!
What should i pick Samsung 900t or Jbl 9.1 @

Is it pointless to purchase rear surround speakers with a sounbar to get the extra surround/upfiring speakers, if your couch shits against the wall and you can’t put them at the right space/angle behind you? Will you get the same affect just angling them on the back corners of the couch ?
Which one is better SAMSUNG HW-Q76T/XE or Samsung HW-Q66T?
9.1 JBL. Is great indoors, and even better for outdoor movies with wireless surround. Simple clean 5.1.4 setup
Is the Vizio Elevate worth purchasing?? It’s going for $1,000 , I’m not sure what system to buy , what I do kno is I’d like a wireless system
Love my Sonos system with my LG CX.
Got the Arc and sub...not cheap but very pleased with the performance
Whatabout LG SL10YG or SN11RG? Your thoughts plz
SN11RG ,YES !
How does the Q950T compare with Nakamichi 9.2.4? On the fence of which one to buy?
Samsung HW-Q90R
Yep sennheiser ambeo is the best
@@CenkoDeMayo I just bought the jbl 9.1 then I read these comments 😂
I was glad to see the Vizio SB36512-F6 as an honorable mention on this list. Best soundbar for the buck IMO, especially at $300 or less this season (normally around $500) for a well-reviewed 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar (no DTS:X, but does have DTS-HD MA & DTS Virtual:X). Great choice for me.
Q80T + Q950T is a good choice?
Just got the JBL Bar 9.1 in today and can’t wait to clock in some hours ok it and see how I feel! Thanks rtings
1 month later: how do you feel about it? Do you think it’s worth it? Is it nice being able to detach the sides to get surround sound? Thanks
After a month of use what are your thoughts?
Talk son let us know
Sorry I never checked back in this comment. Had it for 3+ months now for the first half of time I had a few problems with the bar cutting out after a few hours of use I think it’s just the crappy JBL software but just kept playing with the settings on my TV and now it sounds perfect and I barely get any problems I truly thinks it’s worth it.
@@zackaryk6842 how do the rears sound? Glad to hear you got those issues ironed out.
When watching a 5.1 show/movie, should there always be audio coming out of the rear speakers?
alright, i'm still not sure....if i had a budget of about 600, which one would you guys say to buy if i want something that has great sound speech is clear and base as well??
I have the Sonos arc, 2 SL one, the sub with my LG OLED and reclining seat with a cup holder.
😂
Same set up here, what’s not to love.

The budget one is $200 with their link. Isn't there cheaper options from Vizio or Walmarts Onn?
I love my Samsung q850t soundbar but it has major issues I can’t seem to get around. With Dolby atmos enabled the sound will skip every 10-20 minutes leaving it essentially useless. I also can’t enable dts:x at all. Only the 5.1 surround works as it should.
Maybe your unit is faulty. No such a issues for me.

My most favorite is Bose life style 650 it’s amazing sounds
No Bose or Sennheiser? I was curious about the JBL, but that sub is massive and not easily hidden.
just got the SONOS set up and all i gotta say is WOW awesome sound....love it...i prefer it to the samsung 950T....just saying
The Sonos Arc system is incredible, especially in my smaller apartment living room. Paired with a 77 inch C9, it blows me away every time.
@@SeanZherdev awesome....
Couldn’t be happier with my Sonos Arc
Really? I got one and it really disappointed me. Ir sounds so thin and metallic when playing alone. Before i bought it I had a beam + sub + play 1s. And I can really tell the arc didn’t do a great difference.
@@davidc.7838 LOL, it has been rated by reputable places saying it is better than the original Sonos Playbar. Comparing it to the beam is laughable. The Sonos Arc was a great improvement over the Playbar. This is coming from someone who has all 3.
@@chadsandlin5923 i was expecting more for all the hype, but to me the arc by itself doesn’t worth what ir costs.

Sonos beam, trust 😌

Sony make incredibly rich sound headphones. I'd be very surprised if their soundbars weren't great as well.
Last week I bought the JBL bar 2.1 deep bass. Also impressive. Nice review though.
And you wasted your money
@@KyleRattay That is not true. I enjoy it a lot. The bass is awesome. Have a nice day.
How do you find the Samsung when it comes to gaming and streaming movies particularly those media sources that use LPCM? All the forums talk about how this system has poorly configured software that outputs LPCM and Dolby MAT poorly.

I have a 2016 samsung ks8000. Should I still buy a sonos arc even though my tv isn't compatible with Dolby atmos and no e arc?
Overall, the Sonos Arc is a good soundbar. Even if you don't have Dolby Atmos now, you might in the future so having something capable of that could be a way to futureproof your purchase!

How Samsung hwt550 compares with the q60t soundbar? Does q symphony add any points?
I have Lg c9 and massive PS4 collection , many of which have PCM 5.1 audio , I have zeroed in to Samsung HW q950 t soundbar . As you say it lacks PCM support for it's HDMI in ports ,
if i connect my devices directly to LG C9 insetad of HDMI in ports of soundbar and use earc for passthrough as LG c9 supports earc , will that solve the issue of PCM support or is there any other way around as well. Just need the best audio with max format support. Could you please suggest on it.
Q70T soundbar or q800t which is better
They're pretty similar overall, but the Q800T is better. The HW-Q800T's bass extends a bit lower than the HW-Q70T, so it may appeal more to fans of bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop. The HW-Q800T has a slightly larger wireless subwoofer. Both bars support Atmos and surround content, but neither does an impressive job creating an immersive experience.
Why is JBL 9.1 classified as 5.1 sound when it has +4 height speakers within? I own one and love it!
It’s a 5.1.4
I think what makes it either a 9.1 or a 5.1.4 is whether or not you have the 2 attachable surrounds behind you, or attached to the bar while using it
Thanks for this!
Can you review the Onn. 5.1.2 Roku Dolby Atmos Sound bar from Walmart? it’s $299 and I want to know how good it is
Well, considering a good audio receiver alone is 4 times that and a good subwoofer is 2.5 times that, I'd say keep your $300 and don't waste it on crap.
@@justdev8965 good is subjective. just because it’s expensive means it worth it or is a big difference. and the Onn sound bar comes with a 10” subwoofer. i don’t think it’ll be bad i’ll bite the bullet and buy it and if it trash i could always take it back because it’s walmart
I bought a Samsung hw-q800t and it sounds great but what i don't like is for music since the center channel reproduce most of the sound not vocals only
