I have a 90 lb male, my favorite dog ever. He and my husky had puppies 6 weeks ago and now I have 5 of the most unbelievably cute, smart and funny puppies.
If you plan to get another shepherd make sure to get the next one before the one you currently have is too old. One of the best things to help raise these breeds is to keep an older shepherd preferably 6 years old when you get the new puppy to help you train it and build its temperament. They learn quickly and aquire traits and attitude from the older role model, and the older one will help keep it busy and out of trouble.

Callie's ears stood up at about three months. She was 90 lb female at age 2. Our vet said she is the biggest German shepherd female he has every treated and hes been a vet over 30 years. She loves her tennis balls, and she has a friend: Big Gopher Turtle lives in her back yard. Callie is now 4 and about 96 lbs. Shes the best! love her.
never ever let anyone touch the Gsd pup ears! I know that most people go for that years but in order to keep them strong and healthy they should not be touched. I have had German shepherds for 45 years and I know what I’m speaking about.

That Enzo and Lotus also used Off Leash K9 and really liked it. We're due to get our GSD puppy on October 10th and we can't wait. Still deciding if we want to pay the money for Off Leash, but pretty much everyone I've read about or watched videos with really liked it.
Really?? I've watched their videos before so it's cool to know that they used OffLeash K9 too. I really really loved it and I worked with Brian who owns GSDs so it was perfect. I was initially hesitant on spending the money, but in the end it was so worth it. Congratulations on your future puppy and keep me updated 😊 they grow up too quickly so I love hearing about other's puppies.

@@ajitbjoseph I got one from Kappel Kennels too. I saw them on this channel when I was looking for puppies and found out they were close to me. My puppy is doing great 😁😁😁 shes got so big and growing so fast. Shes lots of spunk and love. She was similar to Uran were she was small when I got her at 2 months and now shes already getting so so big. I love her and they were so helpful in helping me pick out a puppy and gave me good advice. I still message them when I need help and its great. Good luck on ur puppy

My German Shepard puppy (Moxi) is 2 months old, I thought her sit, let go and paw. Looking forward for the training at the trainers to start next month and working with her. 🙂
@@LeGoatjamesssssss for us with Moxi it was about 2 days. I find dogs make the connection quickly. Simply give a treat each time they sit. Used it about three times since then in real life around the farm. When opening a gate for instance and I want her to wait and not simply run off. :-) Working on the wait currently.
Natasha you’re awesome thanks for responding to my concerning questions regarding my pups back legs. He’s a beautiful dog and I love him wholeheartedly so any help or advice is welcomed. My experience with Kappel kennels was an excellent one just really concerned with his back legs and how he will turn out once fully matured. I would never be willing to switch for another puppy because I’m truly attached, so I guess we’ll just wait and see. I’ve read all your comments and you have a bunch of great people following, wish you all good luck with your pups. Peace!!!

Uran’s back legs were also weaker and faced inward at a younger age, but with time they straightened out. I too was worried about it, saw the vet and the breeder, but they fixed themselves over time so don’t worry too much. Wish you all the luck with your beautiful puppy and I hope I get to see a picture of him one day!
I didn't get my puppy until he was 5 months already which I think made a little difference in training him, he's a good boy but I just think if the owners had released him when he was a little bit younger the training process wouldn't be as difficult as it is. Right now I think I need to put him in school for basic training . On top of that he comes from a family of 14 pups and a large open land where they ran free but he's very playful.
I have 2 Long haired German Shepherds, they are 8 weeks of age, they grow up so fast, noticeable growth every week. Then pups eat more than my Adult Akitas XD

Your video is the perfect indicator for me to know how my gsd will look like. He was light weight at 8 weeks and picky eater too. The breeder told me his parents were big, and he should be big as well. I was very concerned about him being under weight, But he seems to start getting better. How did you get him to eat better?
