- Rocky the Wanderer is back. He is growing up from a cute little puppy to an energetic and fun loving 3-year-old. Besides making puppy friends around the neighborhood, Rocky is traveling with me across the country, enjoying the beautiful scenic National Parks and Forests, visiting different places, throwing sticks in the open fields and camping under the snow. A road trip adventure that is enjoyable and memorable for life.

I have one just the same. Same coat. Same personality. Plays all day. I get up. Play with the dog and then go to bed. That’s my day! No time for anything else. Fantastic dogs. I’ve had four. My kids have had them.

I am three weeks away from picking up my new GSD puppy. He will be my third. I lost my beautiful 10 yr old in July. This video is a good example, when people ask "why another German Shepherd?" Yes, they are this beautiful and intelligent. Notice, on the trail through the woods, that Rocky kept looking back, and never getting too far away? My guys were the same way. It comes naturally to Shepherds. There is nothing more inspiring than a trained and loved German Shepherd. Thanks for sharing this.

@@TomasUjhelyi Not as handsome or regal in my opinion . But beautiful dogs. I think GS’s look tough as well. Here in New York all special forces dogs are GS’s. Beautiful. I often stare from a distance. Then ask for a pic. Always obliging .

Lost my beautiful Rudy 110lbs about 3 years ago. He was my buddy but always mommy's boy. Saved her life twice by letting me know she was having a stroke. Would not let me the house until I checked her. Best breed in this world. Thanks for the memories relived watching your video.
😔 It's always heart broken when your buddy is gone. I have to face the same some day and time flies when life is good.
My German shepherd just turned 2 years old last December 8th. She can't get along with Rottweiler and pitbull ended up with a huge fight. But she's really sweet and smart and protective ❤
I got my boy when he was 8 weeks old. He is now 6, love him with all heart! He is my companion where ever I go!❤❤
That first year and ahalf they eat everything including the couch. I've had four GSD wonderful dogs.

When I saw Rocky with that rottweiler it brought back so many memories. I had both these dogs at the same time. They were the best of buddies! They both crossed the rainbow bridge a week apart from each other.

Yes, it is OK if the puppy is healthy and you feel comfortable. Not everyone have the option to pick one out of a litter in 2 month old. By 3 month, most were sold. From my experience, sellers tend to reduce the price as puppies get older. @@dachius_

I am having a very difficult day today. Living is a challenge right now, but your video took me back to my tweens when I had GSDs (Chacha & Simone) I needed to see happiness today. Happy owner but more importantly happy dog......playing w/ my GSDs made me happy. Thank you for the break from sadness.

My life is physically challenging now. I contracted a staph infection after a dental cleaning where the hygienist cut me three times! It set up shop in my spine. I know have hardware & rods from my neck to 1/2 way down my back. I'm lucky to be alive and happy that despite having major difficulties with my right leg, I'm still (at this point) able to walk, albeit with a walker.
The Drs all encouraged me to get rid of my 109# GSD for fear he'd knock me over, likely paralyze me and land me back in the hospital. I fought it tooth & nail, and am so glad I did!
He was 2 then and not very well trained. I was an RN and avid outdoors woman. Covid crippled me and I was just getting over the serious issues (I was in a wheel chair for a while) when the staph infection hit me.
I had "ordered" my pup but then had to wait 2 years before the perfect pup was born as I needed a specific temperament for him to become my service dog. Unfortunately, I finally got him right after I got Covid (and subsequent long Covid).
He's 3 now and it kills me not to be able to take him out on runs or walks😢. Even though he didn't work out as my service dog, he's still my fur-baby! He's now my ESA (emotional support animal ), and I couldn't get through my days without him.
If you're unable to get a dog, please consider volunteering at an animal shelter (preferably a no-kill shelter), or a GSD rescue. You might be put on poop patrol or cleaning the kennels first, but usually people can move up the ranks to handling the dogs. Check with local breeders too. Just being around them (dogs) might help! They sure need your help!
If that doesn't work out, if you are close to anyone with a dog or dogs, offer to walk them or play with them! Busy owners would love it!

I grew up with them. I have had many in my lifetime. Each one was different in their own way. Each wonderful!

A 'short' came up in my feed.
Dog is sitting on the back seat of the car, master comes in, he expects 2b petted..nuttin' he then barks twice communicating great displeasure, he's then shown some lovings finally relaxes. All is well in the world again! 😊
GS's command reapect. I dont think I could handle one at my age. They are highly intelligent n energetic. As a puppy you went to get him out of his kennel. He knocked his food out of the bowl. In time, you trained him to wait. Wow! ❤

Well done! I did exactly the same with my GSD puppy. Made him sit, put my hand up and said wait, slowly put the food bowl down, a deadly silence in our house as he drooled waiting for me to say ok. Your video is so beautiful and what a gorgeous colouring your dog has. I love them all as they are proper dogs. Kind, loyal, obedient and so loving 🥰
