    Hello Tomasz, As usual, another enjoyable and informative video. I have just bought the Trend T7e router and I wished I had seen your video first because I would have waited and saved for a T8! You filled in the gaps that the manual left out regarding the parallel guide, thanks very much.😄

    Tomasz I must thank you for this rather informative video. As far as I have seen, yours is the first one with the Trend T8. "I am sold"
    My next thing is to convince my wife to let me purchase it, plus the Trend CRT/MK3 Benchtop router table, so here is hoping.
    Many thanks, good luck, plus keep on going with your great and informative videos.

    Hello Tomasz my friend. I was looking at this machine on Amazon last week. It's a great deal tbf. I'm super impressed with the DUST COLLECTION. It's a shame u didn't get te Trend Router Table to go with it since u are buying/using so many of the TREND tools.
    Ur a walking advertisement for TREND my friend.. LOL I'm joking but they should give u the full size table with it. I think this router is about 400 euros or just over. It's a great deal when u look at the price of other Routers from Bosch or Dewalt or even Makita 1/2" ones. They charge an arm and a leg for thir ones so this is a great deal.

      Its an absolute beast I have to say. I only want the router table plate as I will be integrating this router to my future workbench 👍

    Thank you for the video Tomasz.
    That thing is a beast! The trigger lock and router table mounting features are superb. Question: When using the edge guide did you have the overhead dust port connected too? Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

      @CasualDIY  11 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't, just the side fence dust port was connected. But you could have both at the same time

    1/4” collect? Trend doesn’t work on Australia. So I am fighting to find a good router.

      You can get a reducing collet to 1/4

    Thanks for nice review.
    1. Triton is known for it’s spindle lock and really easy bit change on router table mode. How is it resolved in trend? Does spindle goes above the table?
    2. Maybe it’s just me but this router looks very similar to routers manufactured by positec: ERBAUER ER2100 or CAT DX89. I hope Trend has better quality control.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  10 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn't go above the table unfortunately. But it does have wide 75mm opening so it may be possible to change the bit from the top. But I will have to test that.

    Ive been looking at this. It looks like a nice router. A great review as always Tomasz. Ive spoken to Trend and they gave me a bit of info about the machine. Apart from the noise level how does it feel in the hands when you are making cuts? It sounds very smooth and if im honest, it sounds better than the T12 that Peter Millard had in his workshop and that machine is made by Black and Decker (Dewalt).

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  11 месяцев назад +1

      It feels good, the handles are well made and comfortable to use. One thing I will say is that you should not try to use this router with one hand. It really has got a ton of power and it's on a bit heavier side. One thing I found, with other corded plunge routers (got two of them one is Bosch and the other one is Guild) sometimes when doing deeper cuts or using larger bits then tend to slow down, the rpms drop a bit. Whereas with this one nothing like this happens. Just storms through on set rpms.

    • @Richie_D1982
      @Richie_D1982 11 месяцев назад +1

      @CasualDIY thank you so much again, Tomasz. I would never use a router of this size and power one-handed for obvious reasons. Weight is a good thing for keeping it down on your work piece, and I don't mind a heavy router. I already have the T10, and that is an excellent machine that has constant speed electronics. With deep cuts, I always do them in shallow passes anyway. Looking forward to the full review once you have had a chance to put some miles on it. 👍👍

    Headline 2200 Watts has to be taken with a pinch of salt. A low grade 2200 Watt motor will only generate the power of a high-quality 1600-watt motor, perhaps less. The loudness is illustrative of it being mere brute power consumption. Unlike, eg Bosch. I have a Trend T4 - the current one replaced a faulty one under guarantee. Definitely not the level of Trend I knew in 1990. Mind you, corded DeWalt today is not up to Elu of back then or DeWalt of 7 years ago. But this might be good enough for what I plan in retirement

    I've had this router for a couple of weeks, its good, however the height adjuster only works one way. I use it in my trend router table and it cant lift the router upwards, only downwards. After a few turns in clockwise direction it completely seizes up. Disappointing for £350

    • @CasualDIY

      Hmm interesting I think mine works both ways, I need to check that.

    sorry, the side fence looks the same of the t7 and in my experience it's garbage, i bought 2 T7 router on amazon an none of the two were good.
    The bend on the steel sheet were so imprecise and unparallel that the plastic shoes were not coplanar
    love your videos

      @CasualDIY  11 месяцев назад

      Hmm not notices those issues with this fence tho. Just check it all over with my precision square and mine seems perfect. I could be lucky with mine🤔
      I'll add that test to my review video, as it's a good point to cover.

    I can't qualify 350 quid for a router

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  10 месяцев назад

      I couldn't so the router that I have in my router table is a plunge router from Guild - not made anymore, it was own brand of tools sold by Homebase. And its ok, still works after all those years and it only costed me 45 quid I think. However this router from Trend is just so much better with all the blows and whistles and so much nicer to use. But yes so much more expensive. If woodworking is not you job or a daily hobby, something that you use almost daily then spending a lot of money on tools makes no sense.

      Not had the opportunity to work with Triton tools but I heard good stories about them. For sure the Trend offers great quality on this model.
