Hi Tomasz, great review again and the bosch professional 35mm forstner bit works as well in this jig from Veiko. Have the jig myself and the Bosch bit fits perfectly. Keep up the great content and looking forward to your next upload.
Hi Tomasz, thank you very much for showing the jig. I got the same last week. (Funny: your manufacturer is "Veiko" - mine is "Enjoywood") I'm excited to see if I can handle it. I'll have a project next time. What's not quite clear to me is how to determine the distances between the hinges and the edges - I mean the distance to the front... I hope that the description from the manufacturer of the hinges will help me Take care
All of the Veiko tools I have purchased from Banggood have been very high quality and accurate. It is good to see the hinge jig is no exception. Knowing first hand what a pain it is to adjust poorly fitted cabinet doors, this jig is a ‘must have’ in my opinion. Thank you for the overview and demo Tomasz. It will be good to hear your impressions after your project is completed. Cheers 😎🇦🇺
Good review, thanks for sharing. I've just bought this jig with the same intention as yourself: big bag of concealed hinges to fit. Now, I've fitted loads of hinges with my little plastic 50 pence saddle jig, and it has always gone really well. I looked at this jig last year, but was put off with the 70 quid price tag. It is now on offer at £36, so I decided to go for it. Oddly enough, and just to get the free postage, I purchased a second drill bit to go along with it, bringing the price up to £46. I'm glad to have seen your review, as another RUclipsr - in an equally excellent review - stated that you could not use it to fit the hinge bracket to the cabinet.
Looks like a nice piece of kit, and a good demonstration of how to use it .... I've seen quite a few Veiko items I'd like to get, just need the money now 👍
FAMAG has the bit in the same shank diameter as this bit. You can send the dimensions to your local hardware store that carries their catalog, and you'll get A+ German stuff with the jig, and then we're golden. I have a feeling I have bought the same stuff as you without discovering your channel until today. I'm loving the tools and how you carry with the video, I've paid around 39€ for this Veiko/Enjoywood jig and at that price is the best thing i could get. Btw your bit holder can rotate so it locks into the black plate, the previous version from Veiko could not do that seems this updated design with Enjoywood co-branding has the holder locking all figured out. Cheers!
@@aonghusofaolain8686 yes, but one of my viewers just dropped a comment with a detail of a company that makes them in that size so it shouldn't be s major issue
Nice jig, useful if you have a lot of hinges to do as you say. I have a few Veiko tools from banggood and am waiting for a T square to arrive, they’re nicely made.
Great video as I was looking at buying this same jig…. On the subject of forstner bit shank size.! Could you not swap out the bearing in the drill guide to a more standard internal.diameter, ( bearings are pretty cheap )..??
Are the Enjoywood & Veiko jigs the same? I just ordered the latest version of the Enjoywood hinge jig with the dust extraction attachment. Ah I just noticed when you held the jog up close to th camera it's got Enjoywood engraved on it, so yeah they are the same 😉
In the same way. If you use the edge pin then the setup will be exactly the same. That is if the cabinet is not assembled. If the cabinet is assembled then you can't use the edge pin just the middle indicators as I showed in my video. Which means you need to set up the jig so that it will not go beyond the edge of your doors. In that way you will be able to use the jig for the clip. Obviously you need to offer the door to the cabinet and make accurate marks on both so the jig will be in the same exact place on both parts. I will have a video on this once my cabinet project starts.
Fantastic review, Tomasz! Thanks! 😃 I believe it's a pretty common shank... But yeah, it depends on where you are in the world. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Yes I found that as well. Nice quality tools but could be a bit cheaper. However they are on offer quite often so just need to wait for those.

Now that is a good deal. Well worth that kind of money for this jig.

Veiko seems to be quite good quality but not cheap for sure

Can you provide this German bit part number? Thank You!
I bought the plastic one made by kreg last year. Should've bought this one
Well this one is very sturdy and well made. I wasn't keen on the plastic versions.
@@CasualDIYtrue. The forstner bit having a 12mm shank is a major negative though

Not sure, but I think you could. However few viewers mentioned in the comments its possible to buy those forstner bits fairly easily.
Does the stopper also support inset type hinges?
Not sure what you mean by insert hinges, can you drop me a link to one please?

great video. looks like they dont offer the plate with 32mm drill points, just 52mm and 45mm. When did you get yours out of curiosity.
About 3 weeks before the video went live. So couple of months ago
you can buy this aluminum jigs online here in Asia for only 8USD without the private label, its very common here in asia. its made in china aswell
Well that is cheap
Looks good but what about lining up the jig for the hinge clip on a ready made cabinet.

I got two 35mm bits and they all got different shank diameter 🤣
Excelente!
I've used this for several cabinet doors. Can't fault it and it will probably outlast me.
Its solid quality for sure 👍
Good video. Thank you
Thank you for watching 👍
