I feel like they really underused the Giganotosaurus. I get they wanted more of an animal instead of a monster, the Giganotosaurus didn’t get a kill and the final battle was fairly underwhelming. I feel like they should make a tv show after the events of fallen kingdom showing what the world was like once the dinosaurs were released to the world.
I remember seeing this poster or statue of the Giga in London. I thought to myself how badass and epic would’ve it been if the final fight I guess the Giga and Rexy took place there.
Yeah the giga was just incident bystander, yeah beats up the trex, but let’s them live mostly acting more like a bully, it wasn’t as sadistic as irex who killing for sport or monsterous as the spino who killed and ate everything on the island, both shown to be highly aggressive and hunted down the gang, while giga merely gave up the hunt and was okay living with other larger carnivore
Jurassic Park, to me, is the perfect movie. The characters, the pacing, the sense of fear. The way each action set piece is crafted so carefully, with thought, to heighten tension and make you anticipate what's going to happen next. It will never be beaten and I will never get tired of watching it.
I agree with you on Fallen Kingdom. I was so hyped for that movie in 2018. The trailers looked great, the volcano stuff looked and was awesome! It’s an incredibly directed movie that is let down by a weak script. If they would have had the whole movie set on the island with the ticking clock of the explosion I feel like we would have had a phenomenal movie experience.
My dino villain ranking : 1. The spinosaurus (this dinosaur was terrifying, basically a dinosaur Micheal myers) 2. Rexy in jp1 (now i love the trex, but to me it doesn't feel like a villain more like a confused amd powerful animal) 3.The indominus rex ( i really liked that the whole movies plot was centered around this dinosaur, the abilities it had was so cool!) 4.the indoraptor ( one scene: The ROOFTOP SCENE! that scene was soooo cooool!!!! Wish it had more screen time tho) 5.Giganotaurus (the first natural non-hybrid dinosaur villain since the spinosaurus... And what did they do with it? Idk... But the effects were really REALLY good but man was this thing wasted)
I just saw Dominion. Yes, it has flaws. Big ones. But hey, if you've ever heard of the phrase "suspend your disbelief", then you truly are a fan of this series. That said, Dominion is in the top 3 for me
I mean, I’m a fan of the series and that’s why I expect the studio to treat it right. We aren’t gonna get good movies like the first JP if we just let studios get away with putting in little effort. It’s cool if you enjoy it, good even, I’m glad people enjoy their time and money spent. But to say it’s because you’re a “true fan” feels almost rude to the franchise itself

Movies: 1:Jurassic park- I don’t need to explain 2:Jurassic Park 3-when I was little I used to hate this film but not because I actually hated it because it was popular to hate it. But really I absolutely love it I love the dinosaurs, The action, and although some of the characters are annoying i’d say they’re all pretty solid. But of course the best character is Paul Kirby. 3:Jurassic World- no before people hate on me for putting this above lost world let me explain. This movie is honestly just so fun it has major issues like weaponizing dinosaurs but if you ignore that and put it to the side you got a legit solid film. I like the characters mostly and I think it has objectively the best dinosaur villain. The indominus Rex And the idea of hybrids is so fucking cool and I feel like people don’t give it much credit. also I feel like people overreacted when they introduced hybrids. Your beloved real life dinosaurs are still there they’re not going anyway or being replaced. 4: Lost World-Although I put this below Jurassic World it does not mean I hate it. But I feel like it just has a few issues that fogs it down a bit specifically some characters like Nick Van Owen who I don’t really care for which the movie completely forget about in the final act. Everything with the dinosaurs was awesome. 5: dominion-majorly wasted opportunity to show more of the dinosaurs in the mainland. The tease just so much about dinosaurs ruling the earth or being a part of it but we hardly see that. Don’t get me wrong the dinosaur action we get is awesome but the dinosaur action takes place outside the mainland which this movie was supposed to break the formula but it didn’t. Not to mention how underwhelming the gigg is as a villain. 6: Fallen Kingdom- I don’t hate this film but I think it just has major issues that does not make it above dominion. ------------------------------------------ Dino Villains: 1: Indominus Rex-I don’t care how much I never went hates this placement or how many people tell me “but Rexy’s the OG”. I think the Indominus Rex is just perfect 👌. The excuse for existence makes perfect sense it’s design is incredible it’s roar is iconic. Maybe not as much is a T-Rex but really close. And overall the idea of Hybrids is really cool. 2:Trex-don’t need to explain 3: Spinosaurus- probably my favorite dinosaur but not my favorite villain. I love all its traits it’s aquatic it’s incredibly strong and aggressive. Not to mention it’s roar is amazing 4: indoraptor: I think this one is objectively the worst villain but I prefer him over the giga. I legit think he is almost perfect except the fact that he’s fucking stupid when he’s supposed to be smarter than the Indominus. Also he gets his ass kicked by blue when he is three times bigger than her. Although he has more screen time than the giga he does not use it well. 5: Giganotaurus-although I don’t think it’s the worst villain objectively. I do think it’s the most underwhelming. It’s design is cool, roar is decent, and he performed against the T-Rex with strength. The main thing that is going against him is the screen time. Though he does use it better than the indoraptor. They really should’ve kept the prologue in the movie. Also I’m a bit salty they call him the biggest dinosaur on earth when the spinosaurus is actually the biggest. To add insult to injury to that poor boy.

Maybe it’s because I saw some reviews before dominion, talking about it not being the greatest ever. But I really really loved that movie. I thought it was the perfect balance of action and non action. I did think that there wasn’t enough Dino’s in the real world but was still amazing
I watched JP Dominion earlier today and to my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I think I probably went in with super low expectations due to reviews but I was quite entertained. I think my ranking is #1 Jurassic Park #2 The Lost World #3 JP Dominion #4 JP3 #5 Jurassic World (can’t get over how put off I was by the lead characters, that ruined my enjoyment of the movie) #6 JP Fallen Kingdom (sorry, the whole indoraptor/haunted house part didńt work for me at all)
yeah that raptor who is known as "The Big One" as she is the alpha, she is generally considered the main antagonist of Jurassic Park 1, even if she did meet her demise in Rexy's jaws
The first one had the best balance of practical effects and cgi usage, where they'd use a large puppeteer A. Large detailed designed mechanical dinosaurs, only movable through puppeteer for the more UPCLOSE and personal camera shots to really capture the best & most believable encounters between a human and dinosaurs possible, also to better articulate their monstrous height in comparison to human. B. They used stop motion on very detailed dinosaur props to capture their scales perfectly in the perfect lighting for medium camera shots C. For the wider camera angle shots they used cgi as the dinosaur would be drawn in by a computer. All these wonderful ideas played a very effective part in what made Jurassic park look and feel real especially when in comparison to the sequels. The truth of the matter is that I believe most directors underestimate stop motion in favor of cgi 🤷🏾♂️ and it shows in the movies as any cgi artist can give a hack job and demand big bucks. So most film directors don't want to spend their film budget shuffling between stop motion puppeteer's animation and cgi animators but really it's the only way to capture true believability again and intrigue audiences into really going back to their love of a dinosaur movie. Most cgi alone in movies look dated and that's because it is
I was really excited for the giga and thought he looked awesome. He was incredible when he was on screen but he needed more screen time instead of focusing too much on locusts
I loved Dominion but I felt like the movie plot was actually spot on. There are supposed to be more movies. Dominion should have been a two part like Harry Potter. But for me, it never made sense that escaped dinosaurs are going to a global threat to humans and we may go extinct. The locust and food supply was much more spot on realistic. I felt like the prologue opening, as well as battle at big rock, and the short cell phone footage of dinosaurs from around the world are supposed to be extras that should be viewed as part of dominion but their way of making a longer movie shorter and leaking clips of things and not having to have it in a theatrically released film. Dominion was a good way to just bring all the characters together and resolve their stories, and now move forward with additional movies with more in world cohabitation with dinosaurs and the risks they pose.

I haven't seen Jurassic World Dominion yet, but I wanna give my thoughts on the other movies. This is just my opinion so please don't kill me. Jurassic Park - it's a wonderful classic. The effects still hold up to this day, and the characters are likable. 10/10 The Lost World: Jurassic Park - kinda mixed on this one. I like Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, and I love the action scenes, but the other characters are hard to watch. 6.5/10 Jurassic Park 3 - it's a guilty pleasure for me. Like Chris said, it took risks with having the Spinosaurus kill the T-Rex, and I freaking love Sam Neil. 6/10 Jurassic World - I love it! For me it's the second best because they do new things in it, the Indominous Rex is cool, the characters are fun to watch, it's just a blast. 9/10 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - I couldn't get into it. I like the opening and the design of the Indo-raptor, but that's about it. Everything else was either dumb or completely idiotic. 3/10
Have to agree with Fallen Kingdom there, I thought it was decent on my first watch but after the first watch it loses all its magic and became awful to me and very boring. Indoraptor is cool but they wasted a lot of potential.
I can't tell you how dissapointed I was with Jurrassic World Dominion. I walked out saying "that's it?" There were some clapping moments, but that's all the positives.
I usually don't give a shit about sponsors in RUclips videos but this time, as a Jurassic park fan I love that website and what it offers, all the merch and figures and collections and all of that type of stuff
wasn’t a fan of the 1st half not enough dinos & it was giving fast & furious vibes in some part but I think once the 2nd act kicks in theres so great moments & cool never dinosaurs (particularly a scene with claire in the woods & another in these mines) although movie does feel too long; lastly I think what will make or break for you is what was promised seeing how the world coexist with dinosaurs is not nearly explored

I watched Jurassic world Dominion today and it was pretty awesome although it did have some boring things to it like the main bad guy and the underuse of the Gigantosaurus it was overall a great film in my opinion. Also maybe they should have had more people get eaten. But I'm definitely going to be buying this movie in 4k/blu-ray. Love your ranking videos Chris!!!!
I always love the horror aspect of the dinosaurs,and that's why my favourites are the blind dinosaur from Dominion and the Indoraptor from Fallen Kingdom.

Having seeing Dominion, I really liked it! I’m a big dino nerd so seeing a Quetzalcoatlus, Therizinosaurus, and some others on the big screen was awesome! And everything else looked so good.
they are only 3 things I like about this franchise 3 - The fact that the park is actually open and fully operational in Jurassic World. 2 - The visual and cinematography in Fallen Kingdom. 1 - The Whole Jurassic Park 1 movie.
My ranking: 1. Jurassic World (9.5/10)- Hot take that JP isn’t #1, but this introduced me to the franchise and has a special place in my heart. It’s also the one I go back to rewatch the most. 2. Jurassic Park (9.3/10)- Absolutely phenomenal film, the magic and the horror of these dinosaurs are displayed perfectly, and the story is groundbreaking 3. Jurassic World: Dominion (9/10)- I don’t get the hate towards the film, I loved the world building of dinosaurs running loose in our world and there were some incredibly unique sequences and easily had the most dinosaur action in the franchise! 4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (6.5/10)- Everything on the island is fantastic, and there’s lots of cool Dino action, but there are so many laughably bad story ideas to the point where it doesn’t even feel like Jurassic Park 5. The Lost World: Jurassic Park (6/10)- I know some people may disagree but to me this feels like a generic action movie that doesnt at all live up to the quality of the original, aside from some fun dinosaur sequences. (Haven’t seen JP 3 yet)
Great lists. And I agree the first one is tiers above the rest. The thing I noticed about the sequels is they had great first halves but weak endings. Except Dominion. Stronger second half but weak all around.

For me, the rankings would be: 12. Jurassic World: Dominion - Wasn't a big fan of the Locusts plotline which took a majority of the film. Overall still liked it though. The OG cast and new cast interacting was definitely the highlight. 11. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 4) - Similar to the locusts, the robots took too much attention away from the dinos in this season for me. 10. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 1) - Better than season four, but definitely felt like the most kid-oriented season (not necessarily a bad thing, it's intended as a family show) 9. The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Don't get me wrong I love this one, but I find it has a lot of moments that drag for me. 8. Jurassic Park III - Not great plot-wise but just a fun movie to have on to see dinos chase and eat people. 7. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 2) - Less kiddish than season one. Enjoyed seeing them completely on their own without Roxy/Dave plus Mitch and Tiff were good villains. 6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Controversial, but I actually am in the minority that doesn't mind the hybrids. I love the astatic and horror elements in this one, and the indoraptor was great imo. 5. Jurassic World Dominion Prologue - Seeing the mosquito scene was a fun idea and the entire prologue was beautifully made. This scene should've been left in the movie. 4. Battle at Big Rock - Considering it was just bonus promotional material this short was beautifully filmed, balanced the human characters/dino screen time well, and managed to build good suspense. 3, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 3) - E-750. Enough said. By far my favorite hybrid storyline, by far my favorite hybrid dino, and definitely the best season of the show. 2. Jurassic Park - The original film had the perfect blend of dinos, likeable humans, just an overall amazing movie and experience. 1. Jurassic World - Might be biased since it was the first I saw in theaters. Growing up with the franchise and seeing the dinos on the big screen was a totalllllyyy different experience so this is first mainly for nostalgia I can admit that lol
As for the big-bads of each installment (skipping short films since we didn't really get much time to see those dinos): 10. B.R.A.D. / B.R.A.D.-X. - Did we need robots? 9. Prehistoric Locusts - I know technically they said Giganotosaurus is the main dino, but realistically the Locusts are the main prehistoric threat, and they just aren't entertaining to me. The only good scene was when they were burning everything to the ground. 8. Spinosaurus - Good dino and good villain but had cartoonish moments that took away the threat sometimes (such as the phone ringing in it's stomach) 7. Baryonyx siblings - I like the idea of having a pair of dinos as the main antagonists. Eatting Tiff at the end got them some points too lol. 6. Toro - Honestly really loved seeing the Carnotaurus as the main dino for a bit. Not even sure why, but just thought that Toro was an amazing antagonist to the kids. 5. The T-Rex parents - Similar to the Baryonyx I liked seeing a duo of main dinosaurs. It was nice to see them motivated by parental instinct rather than just eat to survive instinct. 4. Indominous Rex - Geat villain, loved the idea of killing for sport rather than necessity. I also like your "Frankenstein's monster" comparison, as I feel it's accurate. I-Rex was a great villain and dino, and would've been higher if it had been more focused on taking out the main cast. I like when the dinos stalk the main characters, but with the I-Rex it felt more he was running around randomly and only attacking when he happened to be around the other characters (however this is definitely personal preference) 3. The Big One - I really don't consider Rexy the "big bad" of the first movie. The Big One, however, stalked the main characters with her pack and took them out one at a time. She was smart (but not to the point shown in JW) while also feeling like a genuine animal 2. Indoraptor - As a huge horror fan I liked the Indoraptor. It felt like sometimes straight out of a horror movie. I just wish it had more screen time. 1. Scorpios rex (E-750) - My favorite dino and hybrid from the whole franchise TBH. From the design, the the animation/the way it movies, everything about this dino was unsettling and did an amazing job at setting the tone of the season.
I honestly like the Jurassic World movies way more than the originals but I do love the first movie obviously because I grew up with it but I just get more enjoyment with the World trilogy
As a huge lover of dinosaurs and a fan of the Jurassic franchise, here's how I rank them with a few honorable mentions as a bonus 6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom While it was the darkest and gave me so many awesome things and cool stuff, it was still a let down as it gave us something that was both a broken promise with the dinosaurs on the mainland, and something that felt like a Diet Lost World: Jurassic Park. 5. Jurassic Park 3 This was definitely an okay movie and arguably a guilty pleasure. It was cool that this movie introduced me to the Spinosaurus, had a cool aviary scene with Pteranodons, and Grant returning for the ride. Sure there a few snags like the unlikable characters and the story being weak for a Jurassic Park film, but it was still a fun time. 4. Jurassic World: Dominion I get that there were some people that hated this movie, and I'll agree with the points they make with it, but I also enjoyed this one as a Jurassic fan. Sure there some bumps here and there like the locusts being the main threat, Dodgson as a let down of a villain, and Maisie being a pain at first. But if you look past those problems and enjoy it for the references and dinosaurs, it'll be a fun watch! The only catch is to watch the Extended version, which adds a bit more alongside bringing back the Prologue as the film's true opening, whereas the standard edition felt incomplete. 3. Jurassic World This was back when Jurassic made it's triumphant return, and I loved every single second if it!!! Sure, some things were not as great as others, but it is definitely a lot of fun for what it is! 2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park Honestly, I don’t get the hate for this one. Sure, I'll admit this isn't perfect, and that the novel was a better told story......but come on. More dinosaurs, a new island, two Tyrannosaurs instead of just one, and even a whole third act dedicated to dinosaurs on the mainland with the T-Rex in San Diego. Something Fallen Kingdom and Dominion for the most part lacked. Easily, this is the best Jurassic sequel of them all. Honorable Mentions: Battle at Big Rock, Camp Cretaceous, The Dominion Prologue, and Chaos Theory These four are definitely good Jurassic appetizers before the main course. Both Battle at Big Rock and the Prologue were fun sneak peeks into what a dinosaur filled present day world would be like, while Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are awesome Netflix shows that tie into the Jurassic World trilogy, thus expanding upon the universe a bit. 1. Jurassic Park How can it not be? Just..........how can it not be? This is a classic through and through, with a great score on every category!! Wu said that Benjamin Lockwood told Mills and the nanny (her name escapes me) that HE was the one that created Maisie to protect Charlotte. Unfortunately Mills killed Lockwood before Maisie could learn the actual truth from him so she was left with the lie. Also, I believe it’s pronounced Gig-o-not-o-saurus, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong
(Spoiler alert do not read message if you have not watched the movie) I think Dominion is the best one due to it being the most modern but also includes old actors from the original movies but also it ends with Rexy living but rexy was paralyzed but some might of thought she was dead so I was shocked to see Rexy alive.

I feel like they really underused the Giganotosaurus. I get they wanted more of an animal instead of a monster, the Giganotosaurus didn’t get a kill and the final battle was fairly underwhelming. I feel like they should make a tv show after the events of fallen kingdom showing what the world was like once the dinosaurs were released to the world.
I remember seeing this poster or statue of the Giga in London. I thought to myself how badass and epic would’ve it been if the final fight I guess the Giga and Rexy took place there.
So accurate. The Giganotosaurus was highly underused.

Yeah the giga was just incident bystander, yeah beats up the trex, but let’s them live mostly acting more like a bully, it wasn’t as sadistic as irex who killing for sport or monsterous as the spino who killed and ate everything on the island, both shown to be highly aggressive and hunted down the gang, while giga merely gave up the hunt and was okay living with other larger carnivore
Jurassic Park, to me, is the perfect movie. The characters, the pacing, the sense of fear. The way each action set piece is crafted so carefully, with thought, to heighten tension and make you anticipate what's going to happen next. It will never be beaten and I will never get tired of watching it.

I agree with you on Fallen Kingdom. I was so hyped for that movie in 2018. The trailers looked great, the volcano stuff looked and was awesome! It’s an incredibly directed movie that is let down by a weak script. If they would have had the whole movie set on the island with the ticking clock of the explosion I feel like we would have had a phenomenal movie experience.

1. The spinosaurus (this dinosaur was terrifying, basically a dinosaur Micheal myers)
2. Rexy in jp1 (now i love the trex, but to me it doesn't feel like a villain more like a confused amd powerful animal)

I mean, I’m a fan of the series and that’s why I expect the studio to treat it right. We aren’t gonna get good movies like the first JP if we just let studios get away with putting in little effort. It’s cool if you enjoy it, good even, I’m glad people enjoy their time and money spent. But to say it’s because you’re a “true fan” feels almost rude to the franchise itself

Movies:
1:Jurassic park- I don’t need to explain
2:Jurassic Park 3-when I was little I used to hate this film but not because I actually hated it because it was popular to hate it. But really I absolutely love it I love the dinosaurs, The action, and although some of the characters are annoying i’d say they’re all pretty solid. But of course the best character is Paul Kirby.
3:Jurassic World- no before people hate on me for putting this above lost world let me explain. This movie is honestly just so fun it has major issues like weaponizing dinosaurs but if you ignore that and put it to the side you got a legit solid film. I like the characters mostly and I think it has objectively the best dinosaur villain. The indominus Rex And the idea of hybrids is so fucking cool and I feel like people don’t give it much credit. also I feel like people overreacted when they introduced hybrids. Your beloved real life dinosaurs are still there they’re not going anyway or being replaced.
4: Lost World-Although I put this below Jurassic World it does not mean I hate it. But I feel like it just has a few issues that fogs it down a bit specifically some characters like Nick Van Owen who I don’t really care for which the movie completely forget about in the final act. Everything with the dinosaurs was awesome.
5: dominion-majorly wasted opportunity to show more of the dinosaurs in the mainland. The tease just so much about dinosaurs ruling the earth or being a part of it but we hardly see that. Don’t get me wrong the dinosaur action we get is awesome but the dinosaur action takes place outside the mainland which this movie was supposed to break the formula but it didn’t. Not to mention how underwhelming the gigg is as a villain.
6: Fallen Kingdom- I don’t hate this film but I think it just has major issues that does not make it above dominion.

Dino Villains:
1: Indominus Rex-I don’t care how much I never went hates this placement or how many people tell me “but Rexy’s the OG”. I think the Indominus Rex is just perfect 👌. The excuse for existence makes perfect sense it’s design is incredible it’s roar is iconic. Maybe not as much is a T-Rex but really close. And overall the idea of Hybrids is really cool.
2:Trex-don’t need to explain
3: Spinosaurus- probably my favorite dinosaur but not my favorite villain. I love all its traits it’s aquatic it’s incredibly strong and aggressive. Not to mention it’s roar is amazing
4: indoraptor: I think this one is objectively the worst villain but I prefer him over the giga. I legit think he is almost perfect except the fact that he’s fucking stupid when he’s supposed to be smarter than the Indominus. Also he gets his ass kicked by blue when he is three times bigger than her. Although he has more screen time than the giga he does not use it well.
5: Giganotaurus-although I don’t think it’s the worst villain objectively. I do think it’s the most underwhelming. It’s design is cool, roar is decent, and he performed against the T-Rex with strength. The main thing that is going against him is the screen time. Though he does use it better than the indoraptor. They really should’ve kept the prologue in the movie. Also I’m a bit salty they call him the biggest dinosaur on earth when the spinosaurus is actually the biggest. To add insult to injury to that poor boy.

Jurassic has had a long run and I am happy with what this led up to. But the first one has a special place in my heart!

The opening scene to Fallen Kingdom is still SOOO GOOD, even if the rest of the movie falls short.
Jurassic Park/World is the literal example of “a fall from grace”
The first one had the best balance of practical effects and cgi usage, where they'd use a large puppeteer
A. Large detailed designed mechanical dinosaurs, only movable through puppeteer for the more UPCLOSE and personal camera shots to really capture the best & most believable encounters between a human and dinosaurs possible, also to better articulate their monstrous height in comparison to human.
B. They used stop motion on very detailed dinosaur props to capture their scales perfectly in the perfect lighting for medium camera shots
C. For the wider camera angle shots they used cgi as the dinosaur would be drawn in by a computer.
All these wonderful ideas played a very effective part in what made Jurassic park look and feel real especially when in comparison to the sequels. The truth of the matter is that I believe most directors underestimate stop motion in favor of cgi 🤷🏾♂️ and it shows in the movies as any cgi artist can give a hack job and demand big bucks. So most film directors don't want to spend their film budget shuffling between stop motion puppeteer's animation and cgi animators but really it's the only way to capture true believability again and intrigue audiences into really going back to their love of a dinosaur movie. Most cgi alone in movies look dated and that's because it is

I was really excited for the giga and thought he looked awesome. He was incredible when he was on screen but he needed more screen time instead of focusing too much on locusts
I loved Dominion but I felt like the movie plot was actually spot on. There are supposed to be more movies. Dominion should have been a two part like Harry Potter. But for me, it never made sense that escaped dinosaurs are going to a global threat to humans and we may go extinct. The locust and food supply was much more spot on realistic. I felt like the prologue opening, as well as battle at big rock, and the short cell phone footage of dinosaurs from around the world are supposed to be extras that should be viewed as part of dominion but their way of making a longer movie shorter and leaking clips of things and not having to have it in a theatrically released film. Dominion was a good way to just bring all the characters together and resolve their stories, and now move forward with additional movies with more in world cohabitation with dinosaurs and the risks they pose.

I haven't seen Jurassic World Dominion yet, but I wanna give my thoughts on the other movies. This is just my opinion so please don't kill me.
Jurassic Park - it's a wonderful classic. The effects still hold up to this day, and the characters are likable. 10/10
The Lost World: Jurassic Park - kinda mixed on this one. I like Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, and I love the action scenes, but the other characters are hard to watch. 6.5/10
Jurassic Park 3 - it's a guilty pleasure for me. Like Chris said, it took risks with having the Spinosaurus kill the T-Rex, and I freaking love Sam Neil. 6/10
Jurassic World - I love it! For me it's the second best because they do new things in it, the Indominous Rex is cool, the characters are fun to watch, it's just a blast. 9/10
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - I couldn't get into it. I like the opening and the design of the Indo-raptor, but that's about it. Everything else was either dumb or completely idiotic. 3/10

2. Jurassic Park (9.3/10)- Absolutely phenomenal film, the magic and the horror of these dinosaurs are displayed perfectly, and the story is groundbreaking
3. Jurassic World: Dominion (9/10)- I don’t get the hate towards the film, I loved the world building of dinosaurs running loose in our world and there were some incredibly unique sequences and easily had the most dinosaur action in the franchise!
4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (6.5/10)- Everything on the island is fantastic, and there’s lots of cool Dino action, but there are so many laughably bad story ideas to the point where it doesn’t even feel like Jurassic Park
5. The Lost World: Jurassic Park (6/10)- I know some people may disagree but to me this feels like a generic action movie that doesnt at all live up to the quality of the original, aside from some fun dinosaur sequences.

Great lists. And I agree the first one is tiers above the rest. The thing I noticed about the sequels is they had great first halves but weak endings. Except Dominion. Stronger second half but weak all around.

For me, the rankings would be:
12. Jurassic World: Dominion - Wasn't a big fan of the Locusts plotline which took a majority of the film. Overall still liked it though. The OG cast and new cast interacting was definitely the highlight.
11. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 4) - Similar to the locusts, the robots took too much attention away from the dinos in this season for me.
10. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 1) - Better than season four, but definitely felt like the most kid-oriented season (not necessarily a bad thing, it's intended as a family show)
9. The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Don't get me wrong I love this one, but I find it has a lot of moments that drag for me.
8. Jurassic Park III - Not great plot-wise but just a fun movie to have on to see dinos chase and eat people.
7. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 2) - Less kiddish than season one. Enjoyed seeing them completely on their own without Roxy/Dave plus Mitch and Tiff were good villains.
6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Controversial, but I actually am in the minority that doesn't mind the hybrids. I love the astatic and horror elements in this one, and the indoraptor was great imo.
5. Jurassic World Dominion Prologue - Seeing the mosquito scene was a fun idea and the entire prologue was beautifully made. This scene should've been left in the movie.
4. Battle at Big Rock - Considering it was just bonus promotional material this short was beautifully filmed, balanced the human characters/dino screen time well, and managed to build good suspense.
3, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (Season 3) - E-750. Enough said. By far my favorite hybrid storyline, by far my favorite hybrid dino, and definitely the best season of the show.
2. Jurassic Park - The original film had the perfect blend of dinos, likeable humans, just an overall amazing movie and experience.
1. Jurassic World - Might be biased since it was the first I saw in theaters. Growing up with the franchise and seeing the dinos on the big screen was a totalllllyyy different experience so this is first mainly for nostalgia I can admit that lol
As for the big-bads of each installment (skipping short films since we didn't really get much time to see those dinos):
10. B.R.A.D. / B.R.A.D.-X. - Did we need robots?
9. Prehistoric Locusts - I know technically they said Giganotosaurus
is the main dino, but realistically the Locusts are the main prehistoric threat, and they just aren't entertaining to me. The only good scene was when they were burning everything to the ground.
8. Spinosaurus - Good dino and good villain but had cartoonish moments that took away the threat sometimes (such as the phone ringing in it's stomach)
7. Baryonyx siblings - I like the idea of having a pair of dinos as the main antagonists. Eatting Tiff at the end got them some points too lol.
6. Toro - Honestly really loved seeing the Carnotaurus as the main dino for a bit. Not even sure why, but just thought that Toro was an amazing antagonist to the kids.
5. The T-Rex parents - Similar to the Baryonyx I liked seeing a duo of main dinosaurs. It was nice to see them motivated by parental instinct rather than just eat to survive instinct.
4. Indominous Rex - Geat villain, loved the idea of killing for sport rather than necessity. I also like your "Frankenstein's monster" comparison, as I feel it's accurate. I-Rex was a great villain and dino, and would've been higher if it had been more focused on taking out the main cast. I like when the dinos stalk the main characters, but with the I-Rex it felt more he was running around randomly and only attacking when he happened to be around the other characters (however this is definitely personal preference)
3. The Big One - I really don't consider Rexy the "big bad" of the first movie. The Big One, however, stalked the main characters with her pack and took them out one at a time. She was smart (but not to the point shown in JW) while also feeling like a genuine animal
2. Indoraptor - As a huge horror fan I liked the Indoraptor. It felt like sometimes straight out of a horror movie. I just wish it had more screen time.
1. Scorpios rex (E-750) - My favorite dino and hybrid from the whole franchise TBH. From the design, the the animation/the way it movies, everything about this dino was unsettling and did an amazing job at setting the tone of the season.

I honestly like the Jurassic World movies way more than the originals but I do love the first movie obviously because I grew up with it but I just get more enjoyment with the World trilogy
As a huge lover of dinosaurs and a fan of the Jurassic franchise, here's how I rank them with a few honorable mentions as a bonus
6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
While it was the darkest and gave me so many awesome things and cool stuff, it was still a let down as it gave us something that was both a broken promise with the dinosaurs on the mainland, and something that felt like a Diet Lost World: Jurassic Park.
5. Jurassic Park 3
This was definitely an okay movie and arguably a guilty pleasure. It was cool that this movie introduced me to the Spinosaurus, had a cool aviary scene with Pteranodons, and Grant returning for the ride. Sure there a few snags like the unlikable characters and the story being weak for a Jurassic Park film, but it was still a fun time.
4. Jurassic World: Dominion
I get that there were some people that hated this movie, and I'll agree with the points they make with it, but I also enjoyed this one as a Jurassic fan. Sure there some bumps here and there like the locusts being the main threat, Dodgson as a let down of a villain, and Maisie being a pain at first. But if you look past those problems and enjoy it for the references and dinosaurs, it'll be a fun watch! The only catch is to watch the Extended version, which adds a bit more alongside bringing back the Prologue as the film's true opening, whereas the standard edition felt incomplete.
3. Jurassic World
This was back when Jurassic made it's triumphant return, and I loved every single second if it!!! Sure, some things were not as great as others, but it is definitely a lot of fun for what it is!
2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Honestly, I don’t get the hate for this one. Sure, I'll admit this isn't perfect, and that the novel was a better told story......but come on. More dinosaurs, a new island, two Tyrannosaurs instead of just one, and even a whole third act dedicated to dinosaurs on the mainland with the T-Rex in San Diego. Something Fallen Kingdom and Dominion for the most part lacked. Easily, this is the best Jurassic sequel of them all.
Honorable Mentions: Battle at Big Rock, Camp Cretaceous, The Dominion Prologue, and Chaos Theory
These four are definitely good Jurassic appetizers before the main course. Both Battle at Big Rock and the Prologue were fun sneak peeks into what a dinosaur filled present day world would be like, while Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are awesome Netflix shows that tie into the Jurassic World trilogy, thus expanding upon the universe a bit.

How can it not be? Just..........how can it not be? This is a classic through and through, with a great score on every category!! It's not just the best Jurassic movie, it's not only my favorite Spielberg movie, it's not only the best dinosaur movie ever, but it in my opinion, is one of my all time favorite movies, period!

5:53 I wouldn’t say that they retconned Maisie’s background. Wu said that Benjamin Lockwood told Mills and the nanny (her name escapes me) that HE was the one that created Maisie to protect Charlotte. Unfortunately Mills killed Lockwood before Maisie could learn the actual truth from him so she was left with the lie.
Also, I believe it’s pronounced Gig-o-not-o-saurus, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong
(Spoiler alert do not read message if you have not watched the movie) I think Dominion is the best one due to it being the most modern but also includes old actors from the original movies but also it ends with Rexy living but rexy was paralyzed but some might of thought she was dead so I was shocked to see Rexy alive.
