  • Platinum Blonde was a popular Canadian New Wave glam rock band from the mid 1980s to the early 1990s. In November 1985 Mark Holmes (vocals), Kenny MacLean (bass), Sergio Galli (guitar) and Chris Steffler (drums) taped a one hour special for the CBC TV series GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE while on a tour of British Columbia, Canada. The theme was a day in the life of a touring band. Music videos have been deleted. For more ST40TV music 7 interviews, check / st40tv

Thanks for the inside look of PB in the 80's. These gems are worth sharing to those that were too young to appreciate their music.

Can anyone give me a link to a full episode of this ET Canada biggest bands of the 80s, or any documentaries about the 80s chart toppers on Canadian radio. I grew up and live in the States. I have always had an interest in rock bands that were big in their own countries, but we rarely heard in the states. I'm slightly familiar with some of the bigger bands like Platinum Blonde, Honeymoon Suite, the song Mona with the Children, but I'm hungry for more. Whether it's my "region" or what, my searches basically come up empty no matter what site or browser I use. Any help would be appreciated.

And then there's the Rebel Yell Tour with Billy Idol. In which Billy treated treated them roughly and ended up being jealous of them because they got more screams than he did. :)

So the African guy was their bodyguard? Cool that he was in the Crying Over You video and not just an extra.
