That plug is the shipping plug for keeping the battery charged when the car was shipped from England to wherever you are.
Thanks for sharing that :-)
I've recently bought a 2005 Jaguar X-Type and I'm very satisfied so far... Only problem that the car have is that high beams wouldn't stay on... When you pull the leaver high beams are working but it does not stay in that position.
Had anyone had the same problem, are those Ford leavers known to be faulty after some time? First time that I had seen something like that, never had that issue with any of my cars...
Spray the lever at the base with contact cleaner whilst moving it through all motions - see if that works to improve things, if not a new stalk lever will be needed.
I can confirm those headlight lamps are brighter. I changed my Fabia H7's 3 years ago and thet are still going strong. I'm not sure about that battery case wire, could it be a heat sensor?
Thanks for sharing that. It's just a connector on mine, nothing attached, but I think you maybe on the right lines with some sort of battery sensor :-)
blinding light, now i know why, 150 per cent brighter with bad headlight adjustment
Headlights are adjusted correctly. They are very good and give a definitive cut-off line and higher on the left which is how it should be.
I noticed you don’t need to disconnect both wires the earth is fixed
Not on the high beam lamp :-)
hi ime john you seem to be the world expert on Skoda Fabia mk1 s i have a problem with all the wipers front and rear have stopped working as well as the washers re is no power at the fuse i am thinking it may be the relay any advice would be appreciated as it is raining and mot day is looming ps yes ime at my whit's end i know this is possible the wrong place to ask a question but ime stumped
The fuse is the first place the supply goes to so if it isn't there the fault will be up-stream of that :-)
