Barkbusters here in plain Jane black. No instructions of any sort with them. Install was like Rubik's cube - juggling handlebar brace, handguard mounts, fuel x pro control, Hitchcock's USB mount, Ram phone mount, and control cables routing but puzzle pieces finally fit after figuring out mounting and tightening order! Those red guards look fantastic with Rock Red!
Haha! Nice. I thought the box was a little too minimalistic. All perspective I reckon. And…you have more on the dashboard than I do! I think they work as well. Now I just gotta get out there and ride. Thanks Christopher!
Hi Ron! Are your Renthal bars exact same bend as the OEM? Where did you get them? I just got my bark buster brand guards but haven’t installed yet. My understanding is they can attach on outside of vibration dampeners. I also have a set of the Bridgestone AX41 Adventures to mount for later this spring. Still have less than 200 miles so trying to get her broke in. I’ll be interested to see how you like the Pirellis since I’ve had my eye on that tire too. Cheers!
Hey Dalen! The Renthals are slightly lower profile than stock. Here they are amzn.to/3fqFj1b. I needed the 30 mm risers anyway and the set up is perfect now. There is a bit more vibration now without the dampers in these, but I like the bars. They are super sturdy. It’s the brace that I was most concerned about preventing the install. I did have to drill holes for the controls. There’s a peg on the underside of the controls on each side to keep them on position. All worked out though. I’m super pumped about the tires. Heck I figure if I made it through some of the muck already, it’s gonna be a whole new world. Can’t wait. 2’ of snow last week, so put a little cold water on my excitement. But, it’ll thaw. And, I’ll definitely let you know and you do the same. Great place to help each other out with accessorizing. Thanks again!
Hey Nicholas! I did put the 30 mm risers on prior to installing these hand guards. I have heard there was an issue with that with the 22 wider windscreen. I originally had the oem hand guards and the first time I laid it down the bars hit the tank and dented it. Luckily the tank pads covered that as well as giving a little grip. Hope that helps. Thanks!
Ordered these for my blue Himalayan . I have the upgraded Royal Enfield handle bar with the brace. I didn't think to remove the bar before installing (da). I couldn't get them mounted, sent them back. The blue color has way off, didn't come close to matching the blue on the bike; so I wasn't too disappointed that I couldn't get them to fit. Next time I'll try removing the brace. Thanks for the videlo.
Hey there. Sure thing! Thanks for watching. If you got the lake blue that was my first choice but it sold the day before I showed up. Darn work getting in the way! I was surprised the bar fit back on for sure. After bending the heck out of the oem I’m glad to have it though. Good luck!
Great video! I picked a RE branded handlebar and swapped it out out with OEM handlebar. The original owner had bent up the original bars. My replacement bars had the cross brace as well. Anyhow, I like the Acerbis guards and will get a set myself. What tankbag is that?
Thanks, Billy! The oem bent pretty badly when I took out the hand guards. The tank bag is a super cheap tank bag I picked up after vibrating my phone to death. Literally. We’ll see how it does but it’s a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Thanks!
@@swcoloradoadventures recently heard on a Revzilla podcast that the newest IPhone has issues (camera failure) due to vibration from being handlebar mounted. Just something to keep in mind if you have an IPhone (13 I believe).
@@billymc2681 thanks for that! My older XS Max blew up already due to the vibration. I got a cheap little tank bag instead to mount in. I appreciate the heads up
Hey Dan, I’ve had these Renthal bars since the 2nd week of ownership. When I smashed the oem hand guards I bent the bars pretty good as well. I will say there is a bit of difference now for sure. More noticeable in the mirrors primarily at speed. Thanks!
Hey Ron, right now the Acerbis website is closing out the Acerbis Argon handguards for $60 in case anyone is interested. I just picked up a pair of the grey and black.
Here are the hand guards! amzn.to/3FaAnaC what kind of hand guards do you use? Have you considered Acerbis!
Hey Ron, you never disappoint, always thorough well organized and entertaining. Greetings from Maine!
Thanks for saying so!
They look better than the OEM ones. Good job
Thanks! They definitely do. I feel much fancier as well!

Do the handguards clear your instrument panel at full lock? Are you running a bar riser?

@@swcoloradoadventures Thanks! That's super helpful. I have the same Acerbis handguards and they'll interfere even on my '21 without bar risers.

I like 'em. Red and all...
Thanks, Tom!
Hi Ron. I'll be interested to see if you miss the vibration dampening of the bar end weights. Look great though.

HEY RON.. WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CHANGING OF THE NEW TIRES... THINKING ABOUT BUYING A KAW X300 FOR MY BIRTHDAY JOHN IN NORWOOD
It is on the plan for sure. Stay tuned. And, heck yeah, looks like a great bike! Love to hear how it works for you as well.

Where are they on sale?
Duh! I see it. The Acerbis website…thanks Dan!
@@swcoloradoadventures I tried to post the link, but it didn't work.
