    That change of state from liquid water to gas requires a tremendous amount of energy. If the roof is hot enough to convert the liquid water to gas before the liquid water reaches the gutters, this is a highly efficient way to pull thermal energy from the roof before it makes its way to the attic and rooms of the house. The efficiency goes down sharply when water stays in liquid form. The finer the mist, the better. There are many alternative options, but this is great appraoch for knocking of the edge off in areas that have no shortage of water.

    Yep I had to do this 10 years ago, my central air was totally burned up & not enough credit or savings to replace the units. Sprinklers on the roof for the summer dropped the inside temps drastically. That goodness for the cooling effects of evaporation

    i think you need to lower the stream of water so that it doesnt drip into the gutters. and if it drips, you can move your potted plants there so theres no waste of water.the stream should be so slow kinda like misty water that the water would evaporate in time that it doesnt reach the gutters.

    For concrete roof how to water?

    This idea was popular in the middle 60s. The difference was they used sprinklers. Waste of water.

    How much water is lost to evaporation if you were to recirculate the water.

    You csn put plants on the pot on the roof too. It adds up the cooling.

    • @Clouds-su3dc

      Nah white roofs are way better and do a lot more cooling than that without using electricity. Just search up what colour keeps you cold the most and you will see.

      Tin roofs get insanely hot and with poor insulation it will in turn your home into an oven. Chances are this is a problem you’ll never face.
      Edit: Though I guess you could use a similar setup for irrigation for crops and gardens.

    • @smartmoneymoves...
      @smartmoneymoves... 10 месяцев назад +4

      @@lordchaa1598 Thanks for the answer. In Nigeria, people who build with tin roofs, also use ceilings. That creates a air pocket and insulation from within and the homes are not affected.

    • @fgtrhwu2
      @fgtrhwu2 7 месяцев назад

      Over here that air pocket gets warm which then gets transfered into the house. So some use this for around 20 minutes after the sun goes down to help with cooling the house

  • @Clouds-su3dc
    @Clouds-su3dc 22 дня назад

    Nah man use white roofs instead it is way better because white naturally reflects a lot of sunlight heat back into space when exposed to the sunlight keeping the surface of your roof much cooler naturally. This leads into cooler temperatures outside and reduces the needing of your air condition by a lot during a hot day.

    The water could be collected, in a tank or barrels / drums etc. Then pumped back to the roof .
    Better yet, It could pass through a hydroponic growing system, then pumped to the roof.

      Well, some regions in Vietnam the water literally free if you have a well in your garden or yard. All you have to pay is a little money for electricity. I guess not everyone could do this.
