- All commercial dumpsters may be filled with trash, but some contain food that is perfectly edible. Inside Edition's Chief Investigative Correspondent Lisa Guerrero and food waste expert Rob Greenfield recently searched for food inside garbage bins, and what they found was shocking. They went to a dumpster outside a CVS store in Orlando, Florida, where they proved that edible food is going to waste. "I'm going to have to throw away my clothes, this is disgusting, really gross," Guerrero said. #InsideEdition

Thats not it at all, duh! The stuff is owned by the company. Policy has to be you dont give away stuff owned by the company for free, or all employees could do whatever they want. Even if it is trash to them, it is still owned by the company. Therefor the employee cant give it to them.

I worked at walgreens years ago they used to throw so many perfectly good items away not just food but toiletries, makeup etc used to make us so mad and we cannot take it from the dumpster bc it was locked also cameras were watching however one manager would allow us to fill a big bag of all the items in warehouse before they were to be thrown out and we would pay $10 as a miscellaneous items. I was able to make everyone in my family assorted gift baskets for xmas for a few years it was awesome

A few years back someone brought oreos to my school and tossed the extras into the dumpster. My friends and I had the best lunch of the year that day.

Chocolate never goes bad look it up that white stuff that you see that separates from the chocolate is called Bloom and it's just the cocoa butter separating from the cocoa perfectly edible there's not enough moisture for bacteria to grow in chocolate I used to work in a chocolate factory

Happens at every company I've worked at. All of then throw away perfectly fine food because we're not allowed to sell It or take it home and they call the police if you go thru their trash!
