      This has been the thing in Asia ever since covid. It started with RC crawler races. They'd equip their RCs with near infinite range, cameras, a steering wheel set-up with gas and break pedals and multiple batteries for extended drive time. There's 1 girl from Japan on RUclips right now that I've found that airs her adventures and races. She uses picture in picture features to allow us to see her in the cockpit driving and in full screen, her vehicle. It's awesome. That honestly would be the 1 reason for me to get a crawler and a low rider. Because of how slow you drive these vehicles, the fully immersed experience is the best way to go. Doing 12mph in a low rider is way more fun from inside the ride. Equip your game chair with a receiver and a vibration function and you'll feel like you're right in the car. The Scoepion game chain is 1 of the best set ups I've seen so far.

    Your build inspired me to FPV my Wendigo. Just received my Motionsic B.A.G. today. Running a DJI 03 air unit and Googles 2. My pistol grip Radiolink RC8X has a DSC port for head tracking and 800 meter range. Should be enough, but if not it is also crossfire compatible. I think surface FPV is about to get more popular and I can`t wait to see the advancements made this year.

They could go on fun trips together without having to leave their living room, and experience their yard/garden/orchard in a whole different way. It's slightly easier with the mechanical stability of fixed wing vs rotorcraft, but either case the secret would be to rig one of the momentary transmitter buttons as essentially a "free look" button, when you press it locks heading and attitude and frees head tracking to gimbal, on release it snaps back to centre and releases controls.

    Question. I need to control multiple RC cars using one radio. How can I achieve this?
    Ex: I need to drive one car to a location, park it. Then using that same radio, take control of a different car, while the first one remains parked, and drive that one somewhere. Then be able to switch back and forth, between the cars

    • @motionsic
      @motionsic  2 года назад +1

      Most Computer radios (transmitter) can be bind to different receivers in each car. So when you select a particular car in the transmitter, only that receiver would be under control. Works the same way in planes. Spektrum, FrSky all have this function. Futuba seems to be different, even if the wrong car is selected, both car would be under control at the same time.

    Question: So I bought a Tally-ho, b.a.g gimbal, DJI FPV goggles, and the Radiolink RC6GS.
    Followed the instructions and updated the tally ho firmware, dji goggles, and Radiolink. I know the tally-ho works because when I move it, the line changes in the program. And I know b.a.g. system works, too, as manual switches from the receiver can control it. But when linked together, the motion sensors don't work.
    I have the following questions:
    1) Do I need to program the tally-ho to use channel 5,6 instead?
    2) Do I need to change any settings on the googles?
    3) For DSC, there are two-way vs three-way. Which one is correct? Two ways?
    Any help will be appreciated as I have spent a few hours and no luck.

    • @motionsic
      @motionsic  Год назад +1

      1. Yes. Need to change pan & tilt output on Tally-ho HT to Ch. 5 & 6 and save settings. That’s what RC 6GS accepts for head-tracking as default.
      2. No need to change setting on Goggles to get HT working. They are independent of each other except physically attached together. Though I suggest you change device output power to 700mW and turn auto temperature protection off to get max range.
      3. Not sure what you mean between two & three way? Switch or connector?

      We normally utilize trainer mode of air transmitters for head-tracker input. For surface transmitter, they need to have a DSC port (look like 3.5mm audio jack) to input head-tracker signal. Not sure if Traxxas transmitter has one. But RadioLink RC6GS & RC8X comes ready to accept head-tracker signal. Gimbal servos simply plug into 2 specified receiver channels.
