Hey Lintaro-kun, great memories of hanging out in Berlin. Thanks for coming down to meet up. Next time I'll try to visit you and your family in Hamburg. I'll bring my wife and cousin, and Kenny should join us!!
What happened to Eric Kim recently ? That was a great story you shared of how you met him and it’s a great kindness for someone you’ve met for the first time to treat you like that. This was a good video. It’s been a time and some since there was a great video with you in it. It’s great seeing you riffing about your past too. Samuel is a great host and foil which makes him great interviewer material.
@@baladino good question on what happened to Eric Kim... he has changed a lot
@@MarcS4R once upon a time Eric Kim bought a Leica and a summicron and displayed great confidence and enthusiasm. To the extent he felt he could teach other people photography. He seems to only use a GR3 and a Go Pro nowadays and seems to be putting out content which no one understands except him. Maybe he just doesn’t want to be a great photographer anymore or a source of inspiration to others. Maybe the stress of that broke him.
@@baladino yes, i saw the videos, it has gotten to the point where i unsubscribed. Maybe he has some mental issues
This episode is pure gold. TaKe is putting money in our pockets.
Awesome talk. For those who love photography, this is a talk about our lives. You will love it. Thanks Sam, Take 🙏🏼
Thanks for hanging out in the premiere!
Take with the security guard reflect taking his photo. Perfect approach! Good video guys.
As the saying goes, for those that like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.... Walkn' talks about all things photography with passionate photographers. I love this stuff. Thanks Sam for bringing this one to us.
I follow Take on social media from some years now, and I just love him. He is a really genuine person. Love his approach to people, very honest and nice. Always a pleasure to listen to him.
Lots of street photographers should learn from him ! 👍
This is gold, really enjoyed the conversation. A lot of great advice shared.
I was rooting for you to find the other twin, I think you should have tried harder 😂
That was great! Take is dropping real gems in this episode. Can’t wait to see the one with Siegfried Hansen
Thanks Peter! Happy to hear that.
JAPAN IS GOOD, TOYOTA is GOOD hehehe love it!
Also I enjoy a lot this video!
Throw all your self help books in the bin. Photography, life, philosophy. This has it all. Awesome video guys thanks. Think I'll have to watch it again!
Thank you for this. I enjoyed all the side quests especially Marvin
42:32 Take really out here asking strangers to take pictures of their feet 🤣. Great video, worth the wait!
One of yours and Takes greatest videos of all times!!! Thank you very much. Regards Rolf
And the award for most interesting interactions in an "on the streets" goes to Take Kayo!

Really nice video... Interesting... And useful...
this guy!! he is so amazed by his own world around him wich is really cool. Love this guy !!
Take is my favorite RUclipsr. Thanks for bringing us this extended interview. I especially loved the intro talking about the Japanese book from the 30’s. Take is a great historian of photography.
More ! 🔥🔥🔥🤩
Brilliant episode - loved the encounter with the Twin :- )
Take is simply awesome. What a video! ✌🏻
One of the most fascinating conversations you've had with a guest so far. I'm going to share this video with my wife and other friends who have zero interest in photography as there are so many wonderful insights on life and creativity provided here that are applicable to all. Thank you Samuel and Take!
Lovely. Enjoyed this. Thank you.
There's a lot of valuable information in this video - thanks for sharing!
I really like your videos. I love the respectful, humble but not shy way in which you approach those icons of our craft.
The security guy was strange 😂
That was great, I enjoyed all 119 minutes!!!!!
Great video! I could follow Take around all day and just listen to him talk to people. He always seems so interested in everything and everyone around him and comes off so genuine and wholesome.
What a priceless conversation. Thanks for sharing!
keep that spirit alive.
i love to see you guys so open and curious about things.
its such a joy for me seeing you guys so humble and open minded.
This episode is GOLD! Samuel seems so Germen next to Take ;-)
Great video, as always. And Take must be the nicest person on this globe 👍😀 thanks for sharing your experiences.
Love Take aka Big Head Taco. He has such great stories and his photography knowledge is excellent.
its awesome thank you for this talk.....I love this format
This episode is priceless! This is the type of content that photography channels need. I would happily see another hour long episode like this any time.
This was great, I learned a bit more of how deep Take's mind is. Thank you!
Well, you're growing here Samuel. Greetings, I'm a UK old age pensioner and I've now watched nearly all of your videos. Primarily because I'm trading in my XPro2 and 5 lenses for a Ricoh GRiii. I think I decided to do it after watching the first one, the others are for reassurance. So thanks, and good luck for the future. I have really enjoyed them.
I'm happy that I watched this video. Excellent interlocutor. Great talk, wise thoughts. Thanks.
Absolutely fantastic episode. So glad I watched it, @bigheadtaco got himself another subscriber and Samuel another thumbs up :)
Great video, with a lot of interesting and familiar points that I've also experienced on the streets.
Great video especially reviewing that book.
good luck to Marvin!
he is awesome!
This was great! The best kind of experience exchange. Waithing for the next one. Thanks!
Bro this was the best street life video yet what an interesting walk around Berlin with Take the random encounters were great. If everyone interacted like this on the street photography would be so cool. Dont take a photo I'm a twin lol that's the best.
We waited around and looked for his twin for a while, but he was a no-show. I think maybe he duped us. Cool old dude for the win!!
@@bigheadtaco Lol you guys had some random encounters I'm glad we got to see that. Also some great knowledge from you two. Specially your summing up of courage in street photography. No excuses now Haha.
I've listened it yesterday, I'm listetnig today. This is just perfect content! Im podcast person, so this type of "talking and walking" heads suits me as hell. Perfect!
what a great episode 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
great work, more videos like this please.
Take is full of wisdom! This was a nice long video to watch today while recovering from covid. Cheers!
Great video and talk. Hope one day can see both of you in Hong Kong!
Deeply impressed by take's view of the world and his philosophical concepts. Definitely worth wstching, every second contains great ideas.
one of your best epsiodes brother.. salute to all involved..
Awesome... As a member of an older generation - which means you tend to dis the younger- I have found the conversation very lively and clever.Thanks.
I love how Take wears black gloves to make the Ricoh more invisible.
Another day, the same great video!
I really enjoyed this video
It came out in a natural way and that’s why I love these kind of videos
Just rolling on the streets and having a nice talk about photography ….
It's the simple things in life :D Thanks Tamer!
Love these episodes!
Wow, I enjoyed this episode so much!
I truly enjoyed this episode. Take is a "national treasure" in my opinion. Honestly, I've never seen someone who knows so much about photography with such quick memory recall about gear, history and technique and is also a genuinely nice person (+ super creative)! I'm so glad we all got to benefit from the meeting and conversation you both finally had!
Great video, great spontaneity and Take has so much energy.
Ran into this vid Take, good to see you .
Good to see you here John. Now my turn to follow you around in KL!!
Thanks for the video, made me think about the passion of photography and how to live it.
I love this series Sam. Take has so many interesting stories to share. Love it
I loved this and Take's philosophies in life resonate hard with me. I would love to have him as a mentor.
Awesome. Thank you both. You should meet at least twice a year to motivate us with your excellent thoughts and insights. This is what really makes photography a wonderful peace of life: passion.
Great work, really enjoyed the video, I didn't think I would last the whole hour and 20 minutes but I am glad I did!🍻
I love this!! Thank you so much to Take and Samuel!!
Wow, this must be the best episode of OTSW so far (and I enjoyed them all!). Take gave so many valuable tips and shared his knowledge and experience with us. Thanks for making this video. More feature-long videos please 😉
I'm not into street photography, but listening and watching you guys was very interesting, entertaining, and revealing. Makes me appreciate more your work. Respect!
Walk. Talk. Shoot. I love this format!
You can turn on a fast action function; where you can activate the camera on iPhone by taps on the back of the phone to bring the camera up. Or to set a fast response trigger such as the volume or other side buttons. Just saying. Cheers great video.
This was great! So much good information throughout and lessons. Thanks for letting him just ramble I agree with so much he said.
wow- 119 minutes went by so fast. a lot of big take aways with this episode. a lot of life lessons and great talking points that make you think about ones self. great job Sam & Take.
Take is always great. I will constructively disagree about chasing/copying references. I think it's a good way to see like your favourite photographer. I think any growing artist will eventually move on and explore their own visual language. You'll never fully imitate them fully (it's the beauty of a photograph that it happened once and will never happen again), it's a great pointer or direction.
Awesome work! Well worth the wait. (So when’s the next one?) I don’t know how you do it but more power to you.
BTW I’m starting rumours that you’re about to pitch a series to CNN to fill the No Reservations hole the world have in their hearts. Travelling, shooting pictures, eating, drinking and talking about life, politics, art, history, people…etc. Did I say CNN I meant Netlix. Or was it Amazon?
Great video
Always hidden fabulous talk with stranger in your street videos ! Love it !
Amazing value here📷❤
Great episode Samuel. Love this series!
loved this video, Take is very engaging and you are the prefect foil for his observations, philosophy and advice. I'll look for him on the Streets of Vancouver.
I’ve been looking forward to this and it was so worth the wait.
Awesome type of content, really enjoy the "spending time with" feeling that this video has, and the info and inspiration that it gives, looking forward for more of this series!!
The EK in EK super X mentioned in the book at the beginning stands for Eastman Kodak, in case some otaku wondered. The super x was a panchromatic film.
Came to make this comment.
Sweet, thanks for the info. Now the value of the book has gone up another $1K :-)
Really enjoyed that one I must say. Watched the entire episode, man TaKe can talk, wonderful! Wonder if he ever did the photos with the Cadillac guy in his suit :)
GREAT VIDEO !!!!!
Thank you for this episode. Most blog RUclips episodes are about 10 minutes long. But when we go out and shoot it's 3 maybe 5 hours of adventure.
You documented exactly what a photo walk is really like. Keep up the great work. ✌️
I really enjoyed this long format chat with Take as well as the after party live chat. Keep them coming!
Great episode. Thanks
Loved this conversation, maybe the best conversation yet. Did miss there not being many photos taken. But still got so much out of this.
Wow, what an amazing episode and what an amazing guy Take is. I’ve been waiting for it to come out for a while and it was worth the wait.
Thank you for making these videos. It was a joy listening to the two of you, and Take getting into conversations with strangers.
Super cool and interesting conversation you guys had! Thanks for doing this :)
Enjoyed this video very much! Take’s personality and depth of photography knowledge makes this video so engaging to watch till the end
I feel like Take has stripped down my genetics and changed my DNA. Thankyou to you both
Fantastic Taco talk.
Not a photography video. This was a video about life. Good stuff.
This was such a great episode. Couldn't believe that it was that long 😅 Thank you for your work! Keep it up 👍
