The material chosen is really important for the stiffness you mentioned. I got one of Dathper’s printed in a nylon carbon fiber material, and it is wicked stiff, no flex even when putting as much pressure as humanly possible, so the design doesn’t necessarily need to be reinforced, the material can just be changed.

Or slip with your finger and rip off a component from the PCB. It's interesting tech but I prefer something a little bit more protected and robust. At the very least I'd want some kind of coating to protect the PCB

Optimum tech just solved one problem, which is reducing the weight of the mouse to 30gr. Sadly his design just created 99 problems. Especially for the aspect of ergonomic & user safety. 😅 Btw the kit price are $70. You can easily buy Scyrox V8 with that money.

TBH I could probably make a ~15-20 gram fingertip mouse with carbon fiber rods, but I’ve realized that you really don’t gain much from 60-35 and below 60 grams, the mouse isn’t holding you back.
The whole point is that it minimizes weight using the unique way fingertip grip holds the mouse. It’s really only for enthusiasts. It would definitely be interesting to see a box-like shell as a compromise.
I like the idea, but you sacrifice so much by just having it as light as possible. Kind of a meme, but its interesting seeing when people make a design like this.
