Have owned both C class and E classes in last couple of years ...both great cars but my E class convertible is an amazing ride and real headturner, especially when Charlie my German Shepperd is riding in the back looking like he is the Lord of the manor and I am merely his chauffeur.
The space demonstration in the back of the C and E class look pretty identical from what I could see in terms of the distance of the knees from the front seats.

Go for the Service Plan as Mercedes do go the extra mile without charging. That's your base figure. As the owner of a C200 2010 I can say that you're buying in at the year the bills get far higher. If I recall correctly, two services ago the total hit around £2k with new tyres included. These cars aren't cheap to maintain. Also independents don't have the software updates or emphasis on reliability given Mobilo is extended with each service giving full roadside assistance, up to 30 years, or 999,999 miles. So your answer to how long will it last is, 30 years, or 999,999 miles, providing you entrust its maintenance to Mercedes. On mileage, pay more attention to a full MB Service record. Look at Honest John for recalls and model faults. On a final note, always remember the original list price of the car when considering future maintenance outlays. It may only be £7-9k now but it has bills mounting based on the original list price and parts based on that too. They're not cheap cars by any means. But fantastic to drive. And gives me a smile every time I turn the key and see that star!
I love the c class, I have a C250d AMG line premium plus and it’s just perfect. E class is nice but a bit too big for my needs and I find it for the older generation

@@meti9230 nah bro mine is older 2017 model I picked up for £16k bought it to use it for private hire but 2019 and under 25k miles you should be able to pick up for £22,000, might have to travel far. I had to pick mine up from wales

Only in terms of ride. SE might feel softer in driving, but again, depends on the model you chose. I suggest going for a sport edition. It between and AMG and an SE

Just cannot buy a C class so long as the centre screen looks like it's been nailed to the top of the dash using Dodgy Dave's IPad fixin' kit. One of the worst details I've ever seen.

From personal experience the build quality on the E class is superior to the C class, similar to the situation with bmw 5 vs 3 series and A6 vs A4.
