I'd go with the Mercedes but for some reason there's just something about the A5 design that appeals to me. Don't get me wrong, I still think the front end could've been designed way better but the rest of the car and the proportions (and that deep blue paint) are just so elegant and spot on.
Its another way of interor you have to see it in person to really like it and the lexus lc has such a lovely interior much more elegant and high quality then the others
I've sat in an 2018 BMW. I've sat in a 2015 RC 350. The BMW is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. It was pathetic in comparison to the BMW. And don't get me started on the BMW dashboard. The salesman was even embarrassed.
lol wtf? a car build as front wheel, design that has been copy/pasted from a 15 year old car, not one bit of driving feel and all the problems and shit after sales services you find in the VAG group. i'd say audi is the one car you should never buy
Mercedes has really hit the home run with this C-class coupé. The way it looks, it seems like it's in another segment. It seems a lot more expensive than it is. Fantastic GT car, no such thing in the segment (and this is coming from a BMW fanboy). Yeah, sure, if you want a sports car and you like hitting some twisty back roads and have some fun, the Beemer is the clear choice (with a petrol engine and RWD, as it should be, goddammit). However, if you want a good car for cruising in luxury and comfort, the Merc is the way to go. It sure has some Überholprestige on the freeway.
Honestly, the C-Class Coupe is kinda ugly. The back is really bad and the Front doesn't save it. It's the ugliest car here. The interior looks good on video, but for some reason, it looks worse in person ? I think this car is overrated, the A5 is the GT and the 4 Series is the sport coupe here.
Kaisuke971 wow, I'm surprised you feel that way. Taste is taste I guess. As for the engines, I agree that the 30d and 35d engines from BMW are nukes, so I'd get the C class in AMG 43 form.
Audi is the best looking outside. Yes people will say "oh its boring", but that's just because most people don't understand design, don't get proportions of the car, etc. It's the most complex and "correct" design of the four, and it looks the most elegant and sophisticated. Mercedes is nice too, but the proportions are off in some areas.
Well looks are subjective but it is boring now matter how well its designed! To me the 4 series is just as well designed with right proportions etc but without being boring!
joe bloggs I agree that BMW interiors are ergonomically sound, but what's the point of owning a £30k+ car when it doesn't even feel special enough. Besides, the Merc and Audi also have interiors that are well built, good quality and ergonomically sound. However, what sets them apart is their attention to detail and general design finesse, which is to be expected of premium marques!
From personal experience I owned the audi a5 2017 coupe and I currently own the mercedes c250d 2017 coupe. In experience i can say that the audi felt like a way more solid and stable and fast car than the Mercedes. It had a smoother gearbox, engine and more quite cabin. Overall i think that mercedes is not worth buying, its just the name you pay for and nothing more. Audi all day everyday 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I like BMW, mainly because unlike the other cars, it has a heritage and an identity that has been carried forward from its predecessors, which means in my view, it ages well and looks relevant on the road after a decade
The M4 does come in hardtop convertible but I think if I was to get an M4 then it would have to be the coupe as the convertible takes away from that M4 hardcore experience. If I was to get a convertible then probably I would go for the 440i.
fss 235 How will leaving the EU make Japanese cars, which are mostly produced in the UK, cheaper? Also, with the depreciation of the pound, I would imagine that the price of all goods, including cars will increase. It will be several years though until we will know the full magnitude of the effect.
Merc really have knocked it out of the park in 2016! They were always slightly boring but soild, well built cars (my dad's w204 has 240,000 miles on the clock!). But this year they've become more desirable in the driving dynamic, looks and interior departments too! Well done Benzo, and great review Matt
joe bloggs Yeah, they're went through a cheap phase under a BS management strategy, but every since they realise that wasn't what buyers wanted.. They've been back on form!
I think that was the period when they joined forces with Chrysler and for some reason the cars quality really took a nose dive, seems since they parted they have gotten better quality wise. Although if you ask me I think Mercedes design has lost its way in most of its models. If you covered up the badges and paraded the cars to the general public I think most people would have a hard time recognising its a Merc, they should have retained some of their instantly recognisable Merc design cues.
4 series or RC for me, M4 preferably. Audi dont even give you leather seats or RWD as standard yet people want to buy a glorified VW that shares parts with Skoda LOL
The best for me is the BMW 4 Series, still working with classic needles in the odometer, very spacious and it has a wilder looking the design. But man ALl 4 are just great cars for driving and owning. Great Review. Thanks.
I'm currently on the brink between the A5 Sportsback Quadro 2.0l TFSI and the C 300 Sedan. I've already had a testdrive with the A5 and I loved it. I never expected the 257hp to have such a punch since there is almost no turbo lag. I am currently driving a C 200 CDI T-Model (S204) and I like it but it is boring compared to the A5. I think you made a huge mistake in driving the diesel engine and fwd only. The quadro sends more power to the back than to the front and it is unbelievable how much grip you get with the A5. If the C Class doesn't blow me away I'll get the A5. BMW is no option for me after sitting in one at the dealership. Cheapest plastic you can find. It just doesn't feel premium as the price point suggests. I was never a fan of Lexus and I think they build absolutely horrendes looking cars.
mystlone77 I agree, it's not a solid as a 4 series or A5, but then the Lexus also looks a bit cheap with parts sharing with Toyota compared to the A5 or BMW 4
mystlone77 bmw 4 series interior is so outdated and plastic, but the one in the lexus is the worst. Mercedes looks most luxurious inside as well Audis virtual. I rate the interior this way mercedes>audi>bmw>lexus
The BMW 4 series is the best here. It's a younger car. The C Class is leaning too much toward luxury and suits an older person. Hence why I went for a 4 series GC. Funner to drive, looks awesome, huge boot.
I'm a massive Audi fan and own one myself however the new Audi A5 exterior just doesn't do it for me. The interior of the Audi is the nicest by far but the C Class wins on exterior looks. Always annoys me how they only drive the FWD not Quattro models.
I'm a Mercedes Benz fan (specifically their C class models) and to no surprise my favourite here is the C class Coupe, can't really fault it with much besides that ridiculous monitor, sat NAV that they have been getting wrong for years. I would still choose the saloon instead of the coupe. A C class is definitely a car I'm going to buy in the future (if they continue with ti be this good).
A kid at my work place who bought a $1000 lv shoes. Nothing specially and it is ugly af. I asked “what is so special about the shoes?” He said he like it because it is pretty. Since it is so pretty, would he buy the same shoes if it has a less popular brand on it? No! Tired of yall stupid fan girls being biased about a brand.
MB & BMW's are ugly, but at least BMW makes good cars... Mercedes makes crap cars though. In 2016 they ranked 14th in car brands. For 2017 they ranked 20th..... Audi, BMW, & Lexus. Were all in the top 5 car brands for 2016 & 2017.
First time that i like your test comments because normally you are pushing too much BMW in the tests. Sporty handling ist not always the most important thing on a car. Thank you for this nice test and objective comments!!
joe bloggs yes for sure, a coupe must be a bit sporty you are right for this video. But that's not the point. I am saying for all his videos tests, opinions. Too much BMW fanboy bla bla bla like: On the end BMW wins cause its the sportiest. Thats Bullshit!
The Merecedes although a great car, according to me loses out to the BMW as the 4 series is more practical, better looking and is much sportier to drive which is critical in a coupe
Mr Smith that may be true for it's interior but otherwise the beemer has aged really well and as far as looks and driving dynamics go I think it can still hold it's ground
"according to me" yeah like we're going to listen to a guy who lives in a mud hut in a country where they shit in the streets talk about which is the best luxury car. Dude worry about not shitting in the streets and eating more then 3 meals a week and then we'll talk about luxury cars lmao
I think the C looks not only ugly, but as if the backside slopes down too early and that's because they just fitted the S Coupe design on the C skeleton. Which is lazier than what Audi does because at least the A5 looks like an A5 and not like every other Audi. Also the C interior is nice sure.... if you're 80. All I'm saying is I'd have picked the Audi or BMW over the Merc.
My thoughts exactly! They've been exchanging the designs between the classes with minor changes these past 2 years or so and called it a day. Audi's design is nicely refreshed with similar and at the same time very different lines, more aggressive looks, and that interior with the virtual cockpit looks superb especially if you get it with red accents and red sport seats
Hello everyone, I am planning to purchase A5, 1.8 l of 2014 models, the cost is coming in range of 22k, is it worth buying, what all I MUST verify before cracking th deal
Ok, i'll admit the merc's interior looks nice. But why the hell do so many people complain about the BMW interior? It is simple to use and looks really clean and sporty. And for extra luxury looks you can get a lether dash and some other lether colours.
1. It hasn't distinctiveness a M4/X6M nearly looks the same as a 1 only the 7 and the new 5 look diffrent 2. Expect the infotainment they do nearly look the same as in 2009 3. They use much plastic 4. Some think it looks boring (which I don't)
+Robin M4 and X6M looks like a 1 series? really? The idrive might look the same as 2009 but it is vastly improved and why change it if it is not broken and remember BMW were one of the first if not the first car manufacturer to have this. The plastics are of high quality and you can have leather (different grades are available) and trims finishers in wood, carbon fibre and yes plastic. But actually I have to say the new 5 and 7 look very similar.
U know nothing about cars. Lexus last? Lol. The trio euro cars will be in the shop more than the road. Besides the grille of the lexus, lexus has the best design.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the design either, but this reviewer is pretty much bashing every single aspect of this car, even the driving. They should have at least used the quattro model.
+Zack Dieselgate and because the mass media lies about it. And they lie about the made up 'fact' that Audi drivers are tossers that will cut in frotn of you etcetera.... and for the rest: JEALOUSY!!!
+Tadas its already old! Looks exactly the same as the ones before and no doubt the next incarnations too! oh yeah and the same as the rest of the Audi range.
Hahaha at least you can tell the difference between an Audi at a distance. You sometimes need a fucking magnifying glass to tell if it's a three series, four series or five series which have next to identical front ends compared to the A4, A5 and A6 which are all very different.
+2K10 Desperados That is like the pot calling the kettle black, everyone knows that Audis have long ingrained tradition since around the 1990s of looking exactly the same.
joe bloggs If you ask me, Audi have the most diverse product range currently. Mercedes and BMW both aren't doing too well in the looks department - in terms of originality, especially Mercedes.
Why did you get the A5 S-Line and the BMW 4-Series M-Sport but you didn’t get the Lexus RC F-Sport package? It would look way better with the rims and grill just like the other 2. You are so biased towards Lexus.
Seems quite funny that he says BMW is not that sporty when it gets 0-60 in about 7.sec..Not that long ago, actual "sport cars" did 0-60 in 7 sec and that was fast....now, it's not sporty if diesel does not go under 7 sec...🙄
What I especiallly love about CarWow is that they're not afraid to say the actual truth! So many reviewers would have said that the BMW is best just because traditionally BMW's are normally the best handling cars. CarWow is so good at providing reviews that acually matter day-to-day
I think Mercedes sacrificed practicality for looks (except for cup holders) and still they're just putting the same design in every coupe model. Nevertheless, my vote for both practicality and design goes to Audi A5.
Every time I see the Merc I think wow, thats a nice car. Can’t get too excited about the 4series or the A5. My wife prefers the Mercedes because it looks and feels substancialy more luxurious and ‘different’ to what we drive now - 2014 X3. Looks like we are moving to Mercedes next
+grey75777 You're wrong...... Lexus is super unreliable THE WORST of all three. REcalled every week. Handling - BMW Reliablity - Audi Comfort - Audi Balanced - Audi Practicality - Audi Space - Audi Engines - Audi Quality dashboard - Audi AUdi wins. Easy enough.
Motorweek were disappointed with the Merc, and it stopped from 60 in 120 feet which is very poor and handled poorly. The Audi's engine is equalled by a BMW 2.0 diesel that BMW released close to ten years ago. I don't know how Mercedes and Audi have become so successful selling out of date tech.
carwow 177hp 2.0d released in '08 in the 1/3/5 series? 0-60 time matches this new Audi A5 and very similar economy figures comparing them. Then a year later BMW updates the 2.0d to 184hp then uprated again for the F10 5 series
Am I some sort of alien? The A5 looks amazing inside and out. Merc interior looks cheap and gimmicky and BMW looks a 60 year old's dream drab car. The Lexus just looks like fucking alien magic inside and out.
Every car has tradeoffs and that’s what makes this market amazing. With BMW you get decent reliability and fun to drive, with Audi you get great interior and decent reliability, with Lexus you get insane reliability and premium interior materials, and with Benz you get premium interior and fun to drive, but a super bland exterior and zero reliability.
When you refer to miles per gallon, please note some of us consume US gallons, which are 80% of an Imperial gallon (4 US quarts vs. 5 US quarts), so US MPG would be 80% less.
Even as a long term BMW owner, I would choose the A5. The 4 series has a really disappointing cabin. The C coupe looks nice but Mercedes did a much better job with the E and S class coupe which, especially with the E looks so much better than the C. As for the Lexus, yes superb reliability but just too bland. I really like the shape and cabin of the A5. Yes they could have tweaked the front if the car to differentiate it more from the A4, but the same could be said if the 4 series.

I checked online and the bmw 4 series does 0-60 in i think it was 5.5 seconds not 7
Merc so need to sort out that stuck-on LCD display. It looks like then forgot and had to add it after.
Mark Blackmore for me, the upgraded bigger screen looks awesome, the BMWs and especially the one in the lexus look awful
I prefer the approach in the new E class coupe where the display is more integral to the lines of the dash. It is subjective of course.
Mark Blackmore the screens in the E class are class above all for sure
Mark Blackmore the screens in the E class are class above all for sure
Mark Blackmore , they are changing it with the update version .
I'd go with the Mercedes but for some reason there's just something about the A5 design that appeals to me. Don't get me wrong, I still think the front end could've been designed way better but the rest of the car and the proportions (and that deep blue paint) are just so elegant and spot on.
"4 series is the best" (profile picture is a BMW)
"C class is the best" (profile picture is a Merc)
Yeah... very objective views lol
True
yup
What do you drive brother?
Correction: the BMW does have rear cup holders if you pull down the centre armrest in between the rear seats.
Woah! But he wants 4 cup holders even though it can only fit 2 people in the back.
2 cups in back and 2 in front for 4 people numpty😑🤔
@@TETSUO1984E9 4 cups in the back numpty
yea i was gonna say the same thing, how didnt he know about that also since they tested the car for features before making this video
The Lexus' dash looks like something you would find in a late 2000's car.
..as in close to the year 3000?
Yeah the best interior.
Its another way of interor you have to see it in person to really like it and the lexus lc has such a lovely interior much more elegant and high quality then the others

Audi A5 wins this test for me.
It is not OK to compare driving dynamics od an Audi if it has not Quattro.
Why not ? 95% of all Audis are FWD , it's not like they are rare or something and even with quattro it will lose.
No, More like 70% of all Audis are Quattro
Drezdan umm 95% are not fwd..
lol wtf? a car build as front wheel, design that has been copy/pasted from a 15 year old car, not one bit of driving feel and all the problems and shit after sales services you find in the VAG group. i'd say audi is the one car you should never buy
Not in the UK, over 90% are FWD, very rarely do you see a Quattro or even a non-diesel Audi.
The C class hands down. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the interior is so beautiful.Easy choice for me tbh
Mercedes has really hit the home run with this C-class coupé. The way it looks, it seems like it's in another segment. It seems a lot more expensive than it is. Fantastic GT car, no such thing in the segment (and this is coming from a BMW fanboy).

personaly i find the Audi a5 the best looking
kids talks about looks even if it not good looking or better. .go to bed now
It looks like Ford Fusion/Mondeo
It’s as basic and plain as it gets, let me guess, you also like vanilla ice cream?
kipzonderkop1994 ROFL!! Savage
look at these replies lol, people getting triggered because someone has a different opinion about what car looks better.
Definitely an Audi A5!

***** agreed. Exterior is sublime. Tho I think the convertible is ugly.
***** Great news!! BMW soft tops always look great. I think the only good looking hard top convertible is the Z4
Suhail Cassim same here, it is special to drive and spacious and good looking
I would get the A5 with the quattro system and a petrol engine
Julian J me too, in fact I'd go straight to the S5
I would go for the M4! with competition pack
The M4 does come in hardtop convertible but I think if I was to get an M4 then it would have to be the coupe as the convertible takes away from that M4 hardcore experience. If I was to get a convertible then probably I would go for the 440i.

why is the lexus the most expensive?
because has better standard gadgets

Asian cars, especially those produced outside of the EU, are much more expensive due to import taxes.
More equipment as standard and it is a foreign car. A car coming from Japan is a bit more expensive.
nice video matt as always :), but i will choose the A5
The Audi is absolutely gorgeous!
Congratulations for another great video, Matt (although I disagree with you on the styling...)!
I like Audi's look inside & out just amazing ❤ also Mercedes have a luxury interior too looks very nice.
The other two I don't really like much.

chancy319 the best infotainment is BMW*
Well that's what u want reliability.....
the mercedes looks like an old mans car tbh
xd Ciaran thats the comment i wanted to c

4 series or RC for me, M4 preferably. Audi dont even give you leather seats or RWD as standard yet people want to buy a glorified VW that shares parts with Skoda LOL
80% comparisons that Matt does ends up as 'Mercedes Wins' ! Why A5 looks like a Ford Fusion ? What I conclude is
Mer>Audi>BMW>Lexus
I think he ends up with bmw too, have Audi ever been best ?
evokki0075 Audi will never be best in any class but the hot hatches.
Merc has been on top for a while fam
The best for me is the BMW 4 Series, still working with classic needles in the odometer, very spacious and it has a wilder looking the design. But man ALl 4 are just great cars for driving and owning. Great Review. Thanks.
Audis design is probably the best don't know why people go on like it's anything but that

dr 70194 fanboy spotted
Jeppe Werring yeah but non of them are good enough to buy. Maybe Jaguar can make a new coupe car that is good enough
C Class is too cheaply built for this price tag. The interior has too much creaky plastics.

Let me say that the Audi is the best. I plan to get an S5 manual from a couple years ago.
Great review Mat. But I have to say, you can't compare the Audi unless you have Quattro and the optional Adaptive suspension...
My mother in law agrees with you about the rear seating on the 4 series. Looks like the Merc will be my next car.
You can't ignore the mother in law!
4:40 Mat, there are cup holders in the armrest itself.
Besides than that, great video as usual!
the new A5 is 🔥🔥
When you get a spare minute, S5 v C43 v 440i please :)
NZsarge1 yeeees
nice All wheel drive comparison
+NZsarge1 You mean the C450 AMG (^_^)
Firemarioflower No check it out, it's C43 (AMG). I already know I'd have the S5 though. More than that I think I'd take S5 Sportback.
I bought a used bmw 435i for 39k aussie dollars here in melbourne. Bargain basement.
There's cup holders at the back of the 4. They're in the armrest like in most cars.
+Sandouras yes, i cocked up!
carwow no problem mate!
Not an Audi fan generally, but I actually love what they've done. Might take it over the Beamer 👌

Just leased out a5 2019. I love its design. I also love Merc and bmw designs. German and European cars rule
How much you paying If you don’t mind me asking?
Just saying: The Audi has automatic moving seats when u get into the back.
I'm a Mercedes Benz fan (specifically their C class models) and to no surprise my favourite here is the C class Coupe, can't really fault it with much besides that ridiculous monitor, sat NAV that they have been getting wrong for years. I prefer the 4 series, but the others are lovely as well.
Just got mine! Brand new 2017 C300 AMG Line Premium Plus Polar white with Night Pack styling! I love it! Lots of thumbs up!
A5 sportback for me :)
Nemon get out, this is coupé only.
Claire Kennedy why u got triggered? Its just his opinion. I like audi the most too.
Matt we RUclipsrs love to see a drag race, That would have made this video even better !
Your wish has been fulfilled.
1. BMW 4 Series
2. Audi A5
3. Mercedes C-Class
4. Lexus RC
Really?
1. Mercedez (Always better , comfortable, stylish and reliable since 1886)
2.AUDI
3.BMW
Lexus is not even close to all these three cars....
are you high?
RELIABLE??????? MERC FANBOY
Nemon - I agree.. Mercedes like using fake leather, down vote for me
Nemon right exept merc and lexus are not even close to these two. I myself like audi the most but have to say audi fucked up this time
Audi A5
MAN IN BLACK ya even I like it.... only thing.... maybe they could've made it look a little more special on the outside
You should see it in real life, the thing looks so sharp.
A guy in the carwow office went to buy a diesel A5 last weekend. Accidentally bought an S5. "Accidentally". Wonder if he'll let us drag race it?
I don't see how Mat finds the Audi design boring. It's a stigma that the old models had, but these new ones look fresh. Care to explain?
Same. The best interior design and quality.
Rivals in test all have nicer wheels. Audi with Quattro would win this for sure.
*The BMW 4-series actually has rear seat cupholders that pop out of the rear seat armrest when lowered.*
I love Audi’s exterior look!
I have to admit I love BMW's but for looks and quality I have to go with the C Class coupé.
A kid at my work place who bought a $1000 lv shoes. Nothing specially and it is ugly af. I asked “what is so special about the shoes?” He said he like it because it is pretty. Since it is so pretty, would he buy the same shoes if it has a less popular brand on it? No! Tired of yall stupid fan girls being biased about a brand.
why on earth would you get a coupe (which it's supposed to be a sporty car) with a diesel engine ?? there is nothing sporty about it... smh
Taxes brother
@@ReplicaSevenbecause the n57 is a beast.
Triggered fanboys in the comment sections as per usual...
Komor Uddin haha so true. Armchair experts who clearly know more than somebody who reviews cars for a living and has actually DRIVEN them XD
Joshua L testify
Komor Uddin ya all the BMW fanboys call the Mercedes ugly , lmao as if BMW don't look like down syndrome pigs
The new Audis are ugly too, getting less & less sporty looking & more business casual, shame.
The Audi's cluster looks cool
First time that i like your test comments because normally you are pushing too much BMW in the tests. Sporty handling ist not always the most important thing on a car. Thank you for this nice test and objective comments!!
It is on a sports coupe! otherwise whats the point of it?
joe bloggs yes for sure, a coupe must be a bit sporty you are right for this video.
I second that mate! I think Mat forgot that in this review.
It is a great Car. But its age is starting to tell now. Audi and Merc Looks fresh. We have to wait for Next Beemer to raise the bar again.
Great review Matt, but mic issues when reviewing the Merc
great video mat
we just bought a f pace with carwow :)
+1sub is 1day in prison for hillary clinton awesome. Did the the video help you decide?
carwow yes it did help :)
"1sub is 1day in prison for hillary clinton" is just OP's username.
Doug DeMuro’s Unloved Autotrader Column I liked your comment only for your name and display picture
Best reviews on RUclips. Everything i want to know about these cars is put in this video. Great job!
SP or maybe someone with a different taste than you might buy one of those over the merc
+SP lol, no real arguments, I guess... All you can is insulting other people.
AMG Line looks better than this interior in the test.
I couldn't agree more. I hate the back of Merc, its disgusting. BMW is the winner here for me (although I haven't seen the new A5 in person)...
All these Civic drivers out here complaining about little things...
The Lexus RC design is rather unique in a good way
Sebastian Lim I agree, what a beauty!
Sebastian Lim fv
Sebastian Lim
). ///// Szebastian Lim z , ,
I think it looks cheap tbh. I love lexus but this car is not good looking. Lexus did way better on other cars
At last someone talking sense!
1. It hasn't distinctiveness a M4/X6M nearly looks the same as a 1 only the 7 and the new 5 look diffrent
2. Expect the infotainment they do nearly look the same as in 2009
3. They use much plastic
+RacingRalphEVO cuz the plastics are cheap.
I sat in a 2017 5 series it is very nice and luxurious and you do feel very safe in he car and the ride is lovely.
Audi are still awesome as I would put It Audi, BMW, Merc and then Lexus.
U know nothing about cars. Lexus last? Lol. The trio euro cars will be in the shop more than the road. Besides the grille of the lexus, lexus has the best design.
It breaks when the warranty runs out. If u lease, u can lease which ever cars u want. Buying german cars is not very smart thing to do.
Wow so much hate for Audi...
Almost all of the Reviews, you will see many who do not favour the updated design
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the design either, but this reviewer is pretty much bashing every single aspect of this car, even the driving. They should have at least used the quattro model.
Zack the beter the car the more hate :)) and as always a lot of jealous BMW/Mercedes fanboyz
+Zack Dieselgate and because the mass media lies about it. And they lie about the made up 'fact' that Audi drivers are tossers that will cut in frotn of you etcetera.... and for the rest: JEALOUSY!!!
Audi design = Apple design.
Timeless. Elegant. Simple. Sophisticated.
Audi is awsome
Much more than BmW and MERC!!
audi looks the best, just classic style. Will age slowly.
+Tadas its already old! Looks exactly the same as the ones before and no doubt the next incarnations too! oh yeah and the same as the rest of the Audi range.
joe bloggs Looks nothing like the other Audi's, in fact, I find it quite hilarious how Mercedes' all look exactly the same now.
Car-mazing very true. It’s why I don’t like Matt’s reviews. Very biased towards non German brands.
Lexus hands down, nothing can come close to Japanese quality from a Lexus
I'll take a lexus rc please
Thank you for making this video I'm in the process of buying one of these and it really helped
1.Merc
2.Lexus
3.BMW
4.VW
that VW lmao
Seems quite funny that he says BMW is not that sporty when it gets 0-60 in about 7.sec..Not that long ago, actual "sport cars" did 0-60 in 7 sec and that was fast....now, it's not sporty if diesel does not go under 7 sec...🙄
"it's really difficult to use when you're driving" I LOOK AT THE ROAD WHEN I'M DRIVING
Great video Carwow! I would either get an A5 3.0 TDI or the Mercedes C250d. The BMW needs a refresh and the Lexus doesn't appeal to me.
What I especiallly love about CarWow is that they're not afraid to say the actual truth! So many reviewers would have said that the BMW is best just because traditionally BMW's are normally the best handling cars. CarWow is so good at providing reviews that acually matter day-to-day
One thing I like about Japanese cars, they are so reliable and it will run for life even though I have German car
I think Mercedes sacrificed practicality for looks (except for cup holders) and still they're just putting the same design in every coupe model. Nevertheless, my vote for both practicality and design goes to Audi A5.
some audio issues while driving the merc?
Mario D. Zmaj that was annoying 😂😂
+Mario D. Zmaj yes. Interference on our mic.
That BMW had the check engine light on, nice reliability there.
It's a feature.
Ian Davis it is turned off that’s always like that when u turn it on it goes away
TOYOTA LEXUS IS SO DARING WITH THEIR DESIGNS, I LIKE THAT
Lexus RC for me
for me
1.b .. sport
2.m .. performance
3.w .. agresive
4.4 .. quality
I don't get it.
I don't get it...
I get it:
1.b .. big
2.m .. money
3.w .. wasted
😁
B...lack
M...ans
W...heels
I would go for the Lexus. More reliable and perfect for the city.
The Audi instrument cluster is so sick, but I like my 4 series with the HUD less distracting and on the windshield
The A5 actually looks the nicest. It's elegantly sophisticated looking without trying too hard to look sporty.
The Audi's front end looks like Gordon Ramsey
4 series Cup holders are in the arm rest in the rear seats
No Infiniti Q60?
Comfort- Merc
Handling- BMW
Realibility- Lexus
Balanced- Audi
I may be wrong but this is my opinion :)
And if you want to add another category bmw & audi for over 300hp twin turbos
Merc C43?
Robin J I drive so much.. like 80k miles per year. So powerfull petrol engine would kill me. 435d with 6-7L/100km is nice for over 300hp diesel
+grey75777
You're wrong...... Lexus is super unreliable THE WORST of all three.
REcalled every week.
Handling - BMW
Reliablity - Audi
Comfort - Audi
Balanced - Audi
Practicality - Audi
Space - Audi
Engines - Audi
Quality dashboard - Audi
AUdi wins.
+David C BMWs 2.0d is actually new in the past few years.
carwow 177hp 2.0d released in '08 in the 1/3/5 series? 0-60 time matches this new Audi A5 and very similar economy figures comparing them. Then a year later BMW updates the 2.0d to 184hp then uprated again for the F10 5 series
Am I some sort of alien? The A5 looks amazing inside and out. Merc interior looks cheap and gimmicky and BMW looks a 60 year old's dream drab car. The Lexus just looks like fucking alien magic inside and out.
Mercedes is King of German cars.
World's best selling Luxury brand. Currently
yup agree 100%
but
you need to stay present
that was 20 to 25 years ago
They just became again. deal with it.
not just the king of German car, its the king of all cars
and it allways will be
Every car has tradeoffs and that’s what makes this market amazing. With BMW you get decent reliability and fun to drive, with Audi you get great interior and decent reliability, with Lexus you get insane reliability and premium interior materials, and with Benz you get premium interior and fun to drive, but a super bland exterior and zero reliability.
Out of these four I'd take the Audi A5,but in reality I'd get an RS5 and be done.😎👌🏽
