Looking to start salt water tank, I’m so thankful my husband is the water treatment plant operator in our town so I know exactly what is in our tap water and I have the ability to send him to work with samples to test! ☺️
This is an enjoyable series, but am I bit disappointed there was no discussion of filtration (that I could find). At what size tank should you consider a skimmer? If going skimmerless, what other options should you consider if any for a reef tank? Do you recommend any sort of wave making device on these small tanks or do you just use the return? These videos are a good primer, but would love to see an updated nano series that goes into more depth or some new video added to this series that fill in some of the gaps.
My LFS provides RO water not DI, will this work. I assume it does since they offer it but I am wondering what the challenges would be by using the RO water.
You only need these things if you can't maintain the water quality. With nano tanks as long as you do regular 10-20% water changes and don't overfeed they're pretty easy to maintain with just the standard filter box.

For a nano tank, is distilled water a decent option?
I hope he answers your question cuz I wanna know too
If you can guarantee the water was distilled on non-copper coils, then distilled water can work.
@@Saltwateraquariumdotcom Is there a way to determine thst?
These tanks doesn't need a chiller? When is a chiller needed? And also skimmer? 🇹🇹🇹🇹
