I'm new to your channel but I'm so jealous lol we had a 30 gallon that was up for a year, but then we introduced a starfish and he killed all the snails (nobody told us they do that lol) then everything tanked and we lost a ton of money in corals then just sold the fish in it and gave up. Gotta start watching all your videos because I want to try again!
If I wanted a pair of clowns can I add at same time??? Also should I add the clowns first or last ????? Because of aggressive behavior.... Only plan on pair of clowns , yellow watchman gobie and pistol shrimp. Maybe one other fish and snalis and crab little later it's a new tank will add over time .. but is a pair of clowns ok first.....
nope it can be many at a time, but if you are dosing something, make sure to test for it (eg Copper) to make sure levels dont get out of hand. the number of fish in a QT system is reliant on the size of the system. don’t want unnecessary bacteria or nutrient blooms that may cause further harm to the fish
I do 2-5 weeks depending on the type of fish and which tank it's going in. All new fish can quarantine together. The goal is to protect fish that are already in the tank.
30 days is the recommended quarantine time. Whatever fish enter QT together stay together. You don't add any more fish to the quarantine (QT) tank until the fish in quarantine are through their QT and in the display tank
So we get the water going. It's all scaped. Then we buy say 2 clowns. And add the Dr Tim's. Or do we quarantine for a few weeks then setup the tank and add Dr Tims and fish?
quarantining new livestock or 30 days is always advised. The one and only would be added to the quarantine tank when the fish go in and the display tank when the fish leave quarantine and go into the display tank
@@Harolddespui right i was thinking more of shrimp and the general CUC under inverts...of course dipping corals is an awesome way to lower the risk of parasites!
This isn't true. The Diver's Den fish from Live Aquaria are medicated if they need medication and all of them go through a quarantine process: "Once again, all fish brought into our facility are quarantined, observed, and medicated (if needed) for a minimum of two weeks." Start again, don’t give up 👍🏼
That's awful 😔 good luck with your next tank
I'm looking at setting up a 7.5 gallon nano reef tank in the near future.

How long should the new guys be in the QT and one at a time? What if you see issues in a few days?

Do you need to quarantine invertebrates?
yes
yes, but dont dose copper 😂 it will take them out
You can dip corals to avoid bringing pests with them.

Is it okay to put a pair of clowns in the 10 gallon water box?
Definitely
nope
Divers Den does not qt and treat their fish. They only condition their fish

Observational QT is barely, barely better than just putting them straight into your display tank.
Diver's Den QT process is garbage.
why do you have so many messed up shirts?
